  1. The cheetah was young too, it will learn to kill more efficiently, it must do, otherwise the crying of the antelope will attract lions and/or hyenas, wild dogs etc. to quickly steal the catch...

  3. Humans behave worse, for no apparent reason too? I have seen a couple of videos of humans (even a baby/toddler) being mauled and devoured by pet dogs 😥😞 it's not something a person can easily forget. Even though I watch all of these nature videos, my heart doesn't harden, but I KNOW that this is nature, if there were no carnivores to thin the herds, they would eat themselves to oblivion. These dogs; and hyenas/lions etc. have to keep the numbers in check

  4.  rdmo83  ~ personally I was very offended by watching very young kids being shredded by dogs, I have had to leave these 'reality' sites, real death and the aftermath of bombings and everything gruesome humans do to each other. But, just because I haven't watched these sites for a couple of years, doesnt mean it's not happening! OMG there are cameras everywhere, capturing murders, horrific car accidents, shootings/stabbings etc. At least these wildlife videos are natural, of course they upset some folks, but I want to see the carnivores eat! They are in way lower numbers than the herbivores...nature doesn't seem to get it wrong 😊

Damm! no wonder most predators eat while the prey animal is still alive! it can be stolen from each other within seconds! gobble the meat down asap...I actually picked the Painted hunting dogs to 'win' in the earlier survey, just because of the number (10) of them, plus they can be ferocious and their tenacity is incredible, I LOVE all of these animals, very much

  8. No, the snake was already mortally wounded, it may have even been run over? Who knows? The guy filming came across this when the snake was already half dead...it would be a waste of the snake (a good nutritious meal for the eagle and whoever gets the left-overs) I am glad its body didn't go to waste, although I don't think much goes to waste in the African bush, especially Kruger national park!

  9. I knew some track folks, they keep ferrets for chasing out rabbits, they also looked through the classified for free cats/kittens... i was only a kid then but the memory burns in my mind! I'm no longer in contact but they were probs not breaking any laws at the time, only moral ones?...

  10. Agree, but I think they are doomed as a species. Their natural habitat is now so fragmented and small, that they are inbreeding, that's if they can find a mate at all. They are still being actively shot, poisoned, trapped etc.

  12. Hyenas have to eat very, very quickly...lions can steal their catch within a minute! Wild dogs, lions, hyenas...they all steal off each other, given the chance. People like to remain ignorant of the fact but the spotted hyena and the painted or Cape wild dogs are far superior hunters than lions

I'd absolutely hate to be stabbed to death (or near death) with an ice-pick or a screwdriver etc. I'd hate to be murdered, like strangled or choked, chopped with a machete.. or any of the other inventive ways that people kill each other. Oh, and I would really hate to be mauled to death by a pet dog.

  17.  @itsok2bwhiteendanti-whiteh548  a woman was badly bitten on the leg by a croc just today in my state (Western Australia) 4th May 22... people can/do lose their lives We also have a lot of massive great white sharks around my part of the world 😳 they will try and eat you too if they're hungry enough and you are deep enough for them..

I watch nature docos all the time but I had to keep my eyes on the snakes head, with just a few fleeting glances over at the eating part, 😥 that was tough...and I have watched the videos of lions eating their prey alive, also the hyena ones and wild dog vids too. This one was gruesome. I still like eagles and snakes very much though

  23. rape... or possible murder... or maybe they all slunk off to have a new pride (just kidding, the presence of a female would have rendered the males, all enemies, all hoping for her favours 😞) cats do "rape"... probably not in the same sense as human rape..I took a poor 'raped' kitten to a vet once, only 2 & 1/2 months old, a feral cat, she was so hurt... her bottom end and the back of her neck, cat courtship can be very cruel...

  26. @CenkAydogdu-hh8dh  I can't believe what is not true. An adult female spotted hyena often weighs more than an adult male leopard. A leopard won't usually even risk a small skirmish with big female hyena because it could get a leg/foot damaged, making it harder to hunt. It's so easy to search 'leopard vs hyena' fights or other interactions here on YT.

  28. The wild dogs family/pack fed him for the months he couldn't hunt, they are to be celebrated for their kindness to each other, lions just kill each other - other males, other females but ESPECIALLY other lions cubs 😞

  33. But they are in much higher numbers, they sustain the carnivores during certain migrations during the year, there is probably 200 wilderbeest for every 1 lion etc. Nature doesn't get it wrong...

  36. ~ they are wonderful, specialized birds, to clear up a certain part of a dead animal...would you rather the flies, from rotting meat? or an extremely interesting bird species, with no feathers, on its head, so it can bury deep, to get the insides, without too much cleaning, of itself (ok, well a lot, it's worth the feast) afterwards...I fkn LOVE all species of vultures, condors etc. they have been so misunderstood and maliged, but really they are fantastic, important birds... LONG LIVE ALL IMPORTANT WILD ANIMALS...

  40. What "numbers" there are only 25,000 lions left in Africa...there were 400,000 lions in 1950's ...200,000 lions left in 1970's... now that China wants their bones for soup, expect their numbers to drop to near extinction

  41. Crap! They are just tolerating the Wild dogs, if a hyena had gotten hold of the dog's foot...I am glad it didn't but these hyenas were not scared of the dog's in any way, shape or form. Hyenas are extremely tolerant of all other species

  42. It's caused by a massive amount of built up gasses caused by death. This animal would have eventually exploded on it's own. A hippo has an incredible amount of gas even when it's alive, from its diet. The farts and pooping they do is hilarious, as shown on online footage. Louder than a chainsaw. Has anyone seen those dead, exploding whales? An animal 50 × bigger than a hippo, exploding after death.... we could generate power from this time of explosion! 😂 baboom 💣💥💨

(my friends and fam anyway) I see nothing wrong with watching animals/wildlife hunting/eating etc. Although this is not exactly a natural situation for these animals, it probably doesn't happen very often for the same reason..
