  15. I remember when LA, Chicago, and NYC was making the top 3 most dangerous cities list during the 1980's and 1990's New Orleans was right there up under them..After Katrina them New Orleans residents fled to Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Atlanta and had crime sky-rocketing in these cities...

I remember when I was 17 years old walking out the house towards my friend's house and my mother peeked out the door and said "what are your plans because the days of lounging on the streets like a 14 year old is over"... She said either get a job, try community college or go and get your CDL.

When it comes to urban areas we have a bad reputation for being more on the criminal side which makes most people cautious. Guaranteed with them lounging in front of those business's it's turning away customers.

  46. Cities that have been consistently dangerous nonstop for the last 50 years Chicago is one of them along with Detroit, Baltimore, St Louis, Philly, Oakland and Cleveland... NYC, Houston, Miami and Los Angeles use to be part of that list but they've seemed to been replaced in the last 20 years by Warleans, Memphis, Little Rock, Kansas City, Birmingham and Fort Worth/Dallas.
