  5.  @LABoutaBagDoe  Naw Chicago has always been bad since the early 1900's and it got really bad during the 70's through the 90's. When LA was going through all that gang violence during the 80's and 90's Chicago was ranked either worse than LA or slightly below LA..Hollywood and rap music gave LA more of the spotlight in pop culture so it put LA more on the map than other cities. When you also look up crime rates of the 80's and 90's LA and Chicago were neck and neck most of the time.

  6. Philly has some of the most harshes looking neighborhoods but at the same time it's still an overrall booming city with other nice areas. Memphis on the other hand as a whole is leaning towards the dying city look like Detroit, Baltimore, Jackson and Buffalo.

  7. When it comes to Atlanta it's all about the suburbs or the towns surrounding Atlanta. Outside of Buckhead, downtown and midtown the actual city of Atlanta is small, dead and it's not really that attractive.

  11. I've never understood hood folks logic of how they'll claim to have a tough hood but at the same time the people can barely build , teach , maintain and police their own neighborhood ..A black man's definition of a strong community is different than everyone else's .

  21. When I go to any major city I throw the whole metro area into one bucket as if it's one city..I notice hood folks take those invisible city limit lines serious. Philly and Camden is literally walking distance from each other.

  27. I'll take Houston over Chicago anyday. Houston is one of the most moved into major cities in America along with the whole state of Texas.. Chicago is shrinking and Houston will be number 3 in the next couple of years. Chicago, NYC, LA, Cali and the whole Midwest are declining.

  42. Cities in the south are some of the most moved into cities in the nation. No offense but Chicago is on the down spiral just like the rest of the cities in the Midwest. In fact, recently, Chicago was labeled America's fastest shrinking city.
