  4. I am NOT a Jimmy fan. For the most pat I agree with what Sam has to say about him. In this case I do not agree with Sam. I dislike his the abandon the democrats to the establishment spin when I see them as weak opponents to beat. That being said likening the E dems to Republicans is entirly valid. Thier incrementalism should not be lauded as they fail to much more often than they serve us I really like Jimmie's spin in this segment. I have made the same points attacking the establishment sell outs. I see Sam's criticism as personaly basd on his dislike for Jimmy and is not well thought out

  5. They miss the point that not everyone is a football star, many would be going back to a soulless daily grid that they hated when they were forced to do it their whole life. Luring people back to be wage slaves is a real tough sell, especially as it is to fix a shortage for an uncaring "labour market" that always treated them like a disposable expense.

Sam you destroyed this guy.  He had nothing!  No data, no valid ideas on the ramifications of his proposed policy or how it would work in the real world.  He was inconsistent with no indication of an adherence to principle in his ideas and nothing to back up his spin.  Just like the ideas of every libertarian I have ever seen speak the enactment of his policy would never survive contact with reality as something positive and he had absolutely nothing to even suggest it would.

Pretending that many min wage people have the option to get higher remuneration or that they are free to negotiate a higher wage is betrayed the power dynamic or how wages are set in the real world. In fact his augment is a race to the bottom in service of the rich who collect all money not paid to the workers. Having to adhere to labor regulations is the cost of doing business in our society and if you can not make money under that structure close down and make room for business that are viable. Insisting that paying nothing to your workers is good has no value to a our society at large and there is no analogue on the planet with no min wage that pays their workers well on their own.
