  38.  @VoiceOfTheEmperor  I like your version of optimism but I am not sure it would have borne out that way had they actually managed to pull off a coup attempt. We do need a real catalyst for change but I suspect we are going to have to wake up at the ballot box and punish the corrupt during primaries before we make progress. As long as money drenches our politics we can expect the failures endemic to both establishment wings of the party sponsored by that money to continue.

I am not sure it would wake them up. The crazier the GOP gets the further right they can run while still finger pointing.
