One factor in the two-tier Justice system current in the USA is the ability for rich folk to throw frivolous law suits about in order to run down the clock or exhaust the finances of the other party. Judges need to become much more active in rejecting these lawsuits and punishing those who bring them.

Every time this fool talks about Obama, people remember how good it was back then.
564
Courts to Trump: "It is what it is".
345
It would be an insult to humanity if Trump were acquitted for something that his lawyer went to prison for.
182
Courts should stop letting themselves be intimidated by this sleaze ball. Lady Justice has a blindfold for a purpose.
146
Falling asleep when you are the singular reason why everybody else is sitting there and having to pay attention, is the most disrespectful thing imaginable.
122
That "joke" by Pompous is extremely out of place.
120
This McEnany is so corrupt, I can't understand how she is able to live with herself. Absolutely zero integrity. #justiceiscoming
92
The scenario that worries me the most is where Trump resigns after losing, to be pardoned by the current vice president. I want the man in jail!
89
Isn't what this woman is spouting disrespect to the court? Alleging this was a political decision? Shame
87
These GOP senators are continuously adding to their bill. Soon, it will be time to pay.
61
"You can't charge a president" WHAT? That is not a president you are talking about, that is a dictator. The President is not above the Law. As he will find out.
44
The guy who paid practically NO taxes, tells nations they should pay their due or be damned? Right...
44
These people have grown full-on fascist. These utterances are a call for Sedition. He should be in jail.
39
"If somebody has the courage, I know who the next administration will be" At what point does Fox become co-conspirator by giving Sedition a platform?
37
"Doctor" literally means "Teacher". The tin-hat republicans are again revelling in ignorance. The race to the bottom, indeed.
37
For the rest of time, whenever the GOP calls itself the "party of law and order", there will be lots of laughter.
32
@JohnSmith-fq7hj For starters, you had a president I could respect, a man of honor. People weren't dying like rats. The USA economy was recovering way faster than in the rest of the world. World leaders were listening to your president. The USA today is in a very sorry state due to Dump.
32
Loosing your client 803M$ when the claimant asked 10M$ is a great achievement. This is the type of winning I will never get tired off.
26
It was not an apology at all.
24
"It is important for our Commander in Chief to express strength", "Strong Leadership" That is such a fascist remark. Scary stuff.
21
This should be more than enough for Trump to be removed from office. In fact, it should be enough to put him on the chair.
17
He should be worried. His whole government is based on lies. Next thing you know, all official releases from the government get fact-checked. They should be!
13
@timg185 "He’s condemned him and the kkk in the past." Facts only, please. Give a quote or a link to a reputable source or SHUT UP.
13
@Sentient_Zee Eh, Barr is part of the administration, and is replaced immediately when Biden comes in office by a Biden appointee. Personally, I think Barr will flee the country the day before Trump leaves office...
12
It is going to take time. People who stand up for what is right, and lots of time. And America needs to stop accepting the little evils. Like the carte blanche the police have for killing people. Like the acceptance of the noble South myth or the accroutements of slavery. Children being taught a false view of American history.
10
As he willfully ignored and even contradicted the experts, he may well be convicted. Criminal liability for companies starts when they ignore expert advice and fail on due diligence. Glenn Kirschner is mailing all 50 state prosecutors asking them to indict Trump and his cronies for this crime.
9
Not just Biggs. The whole GOP. They are thoroughly corrupt.
9
A higher minimum wage is pure compassion. It is the decent thing to do. If people want to call that socialist, it just proves they are greedy fascists.
8
The most disgusting lie from Dump is that he claimed credit for the economic growth during his first few years. Truth is, it takes several years for the effect of a president to become visible in the economy... Dump has been very bad for US economy--as have been most Republican presidents. Democrats are consistently better for the economy.
8
The "free speech" of the GOP has crossed over into sedition. There must be consequences.
8
@tatamata6976 The government has the responsibility to protect and defend its people. Trump failed because of his ego. 410 thousand people died -- and counting. If he had taken it seriously, this number would have been lower. E.g Germany has 0.06% of its population dead from Covid, the USA: at least 0.12%, i.e. double that of Germany. And Germany has much more open borders than the USA. But Germany is rules by a literal scientist.
7
Raffensperger even thinking about keeping this conversation secret show how corrupt the GOP is. Trump committed several crimes in that conversation, and Raffensperger's first call after it should have been to the State Attorney to file a formal complaint. Raffensperger is not interested in Justice, he is only interested in saving his ass.
7
Good news about the appeal court denying Trump's motion. It is outrageous that this was uncertain, showing how far the US Justice system has fallen, but thankfully justice was done here.
7
@BillDraheim They can't fight this. The only way of redress is the courts, and these work too slow to be of any relevance right now. The combination of corrupt Senate and corrupt Government has made the House of Representatives powerless. Together they block everything the House wants to do. In fact, this is a major flaw in the US constitution: that the political system can be brought to a deadlock that can last for years. In most other democracies, this deadlock would have been solved long ago with the fall of the government and new general elections. Let the voters decide the issues.
7
Not hubris, GREED. Not giving a damn about good government as long as they can continue to orgie.
6
Pissing off corruption is not enough. It must be rooted out. Corruption is what is killing democracy in the US. Corrupt politicians must be thrown into jail, or all is for naught. But first of all, all forms of corruption must be MADE ILLEGAL. Including campaign contributions and golden jobs after stepping down. And gerrymandering. And indirect representation that causes all the extra votes to be lost when a candidate wins by a 99% majority, for that party to loose the neighboring constituency by 49.99%. US democracy is a joke, and has been for decades. The good thing about Trump is that he has made this clear to all.
6
In the UK, it has been found that having a Labour (left-wing) government always improves the economy, whereas the Conservatives (right wing) consistently drives it into the ground, long term.
6
@naisaephan5336 Any proof for that, mate? Except, of course, that the unicorn told you?
6
Shame that it took them more than 3 years. The US Justice system is failing to do its duty.
5
Yeah. That would be a great read. He has him firmly by the nuts. It will all come out, no worries.
5
Best comment so far!
5
No, these Senators are the real enemy of the people. Corruption starts at the top, and the senate is the most corrupt institution the USA has. They have been corrupting the USA for many decades now.
5
@mabatch3769 Pray like everything depends on God, then work (vote) like everything depends on you (St Augustine). I am sure @miapdx is doing the same.
5
I would LOVE to see Trump forced to sell his real estate. And, I hope nobody is crazy enough to play bondsman for Trump, because he is almost certain to default on that debt.
5
Sean Steele > Mussolini was beaten and then shot to death Yes, I know. That was 2 years after he was disposed, so I was wondering which 'moment' Jason was referring to: the moment he was disposed, or when he was killed. For Trump, I am hoping he will be disposed, not killed. The USA needs him to be put in jail.
4
The Republican Party has expired its usefulness. VOTE THEM OUT! Fauci and Birx have sworn an oath to protect the lives of their patients, and that oath demands they speak truth, even when that means opposing the tyrant, if that tyrant would hurt their patients.
4
They self-isolate in their gated communities, and force their staff to take all the precautions they prevent the rest of the nation to follow. They have no need to come within 5 meters from other human beings. The hypocrisy.
4
But a fool will reveal himself as soon as he opens his mouth. The point is not to win an argument, but to let people see Dump is completely unfit for office, and should never have even gotten past the primaries.
4
"The USA is the oldest democracy in the world" American hubris makes me laugh. The UK had a parliament with regular elections since 1689. Sweden was ruled as a democracy starting in 1718 (with a hiatus of a few years starting in 1772) . The USA wasn't even a nation then.
