  4. Absolutely. Bozo even managed to come to the final Brexit negotiations in Feb 2020 totally unprepared. The idiot even had to ask the EU for proposals that should have been made by the UK. The fool literally had zero proposals on how brexit should work. As Tusk said "I wonder about the place in Hell for those who initiated brexit without even a sketch of a plan to carry it out safely." But I hope voters will judge him and the Tory party before God does, for the misery he inflicted on his people due to pure laziness.

  5. Bullying is a very serious offense, also for children, where it also leads to depression and suicide. Or, in the case of the USA where the victim can get access to a gun, mass murder + suicide. Bullying seriously damages a child psychologically. So, your statement that bullying primarily being connected to children "downplays the serious harm it does" is wrong. You could say that an adult who still bullies people is very immature and/or has a serious character defect, that would be true. But the impact of bullying is just as hard for an adult as for a child. Probably even harder for a child, as a child can not easily escape the situation where they are bullied, where an adult can. BTW, bullying is associated with fascism. Fascists bully people.

  9. The opportunities for the Opposition to challenge the government are limited to 6 (six) questions per week, and none of them are answered. As long as no debate has been scheduled on the particular topic, a topic can not be discussed or mentioned by the Opposition. And in this phony democracy, the Opposition does not have the right to schedule debates (or have them scheduled). This is very much unlike mine own parliament, where any MP can request to have a debate and when he/she can find 30 (20%) of MPs who agree, the debate will (usually) be scheduled.

I think the EU will let the UK continue to ignore the NIP, but that it will move the financial services from London to the EU before mid-2025. We can not trust these maleficent clowns with our financial heart, not even if Labour manages to win the next election because Tories may well be back in power after that. After taking the heart out of the UK economy, the UK itself can not continue. The NIP will become irrelevant due to the UK's breakup. The peaces left (Scotland, Wales, England) can apply for EU membership after that. England can expect to be kept in the waiting chamber a LOOOOOOONG time.

And usually, the City does not play politicians through the media: it has direct access. My guess is that with the EU clamping down on money laundering, the City is more than happy to become Singapore on the Thames...

  31. That is because the MPs only have a limited amount of questions they can ask. They can not get into a back-and-forth debate, as PMQ's is not a debate. They ask a question, the PM answers (nominally), and on to the next question. What would really fix the situation is if the Speaker were to exercise his authority to keep the PM on the question, and force him to actually answer it.

Why let a PM insult Parliament and waste its time by not answering the question? According to convention (in your case) or the Constitution (in mine), Parliament is sovereign. The government answers to Parliament. Not answering Parliament or answering in a misleading way is a grave insult to Parliament and by extension the nation. Also, MP's sit in Parliament on the authority of their Constituents / Voters, not on the authority of their party. This means that it makes absolutely no difference which party the MP asking a question belongs to. In my country, all MP's can always ask questions to the government, during debates or in writing, and have them answered. Refusal to answer in a timely manner or giving misleading answers are sacking events for the minister in question. This is what is fundamentally wrong with UK democracy. It has forgotten that the government works for Parliament, and that it is Parliament's job to scrutinize the government, and it is government's first responsibility to submit to such scrutiny, regardless of party politics.

  36. UK trade is so far out of balance that it will cause the complete collapse of the UK economy. It will take some time before your credit rating starts to drop, but then the end will come. The pound has (miraculously) more or less kept its value these past months, but that will change. The UK is heading for hyper inflation.

It makes much more sense to let Customs do their thing over containers instead of trucks with drivers. A container can be left in the yard for a week until all the paperwork is sorted, no problem. A Container will probably become the smallest item that can be shipped across the channel, with airfreight catering for small volume - high value - high urgency shipments. The rest will just have to live with a 1 or 2 week delay due to Customs.

  45. Exactly. Which is why Labour is not campaigning to rejoin but rather re-align with the EU. They know rejoining is well outside the reach of a single sitting of parliament. And Phil is aware of this, he has defended this position many times. The best the UK can hope for the next 20 years is joining the Single Market, in a Norway deal. I.e. all of the rules, none of the influence that they had as full EU members.

The consistent, deeply insulting language coming out of the UK towards us will have consequences. The EU has learned to "Never Trust a Tory", and until the UK (or England after the inevitable break-up) thoroughly distance themselves from the Tories and sincerely apologise for their rhetoric and behaviour, you still haven't learnt your lessons. Brexit has been compared with a divorce. England should consider getting back in the EU like re-gaining the trust of a woman you have betrayed badly and then dumped. And you can be very grateful the EU is ruled by pragmatic, rational people, otherwise you'd be told to piss off. However, some EU countries will probably have referenda on re-admittance of England... Regardless, England will NEVER regain the influence and privileged position it had before Brexit. You'll not be one of the big 3, rather one of the big 10. And you will need to adopt the Euro and thoroughly reform your political system. Imprisoning Bozo and his cohorts for fraud & corruption (if not treason) will be a good start.

  48. When a poor man spends his money, that money is circulated in the economy: they pay the wages for other people, who spend it again, and so on. Rich people don't do that. They "invest" it, e.g. on the stock market or the housing market, where it generates zero benefit to the economy, because these are not new stocks or houses, but (mainly) existing ones. Also, these assets are often in other countries. Thus, giving a tenner to a poor man may well benefit the economy more than giving fifty quid to a rich man.
