  15.  @leondenizard3800  well, almost 10 million Europeans immigrated to Argentina in less than a century, men, children AND WOMEN, and the big majority of them married among themselves. Uruguay received 100s of thousands of european immigrants and most of them also married among themselves. Both Argentina and Uruguay killed over 90% of the indigenous that lived in the countries. That’s why about half of the mixed race people there aren’t even Argentinians or Uruguayans but rather Peruvians, Bolivians and other Latin American immigrants. Most Argentinians and Uruguayans (who were born in the countries that they live in) who have native ancestry are less than 15% native. Also, Its not me who’s saying that whites in the south of Brazil have european and/or African ancestry, its many different sources based on DNA testing. Also, yeah you don’t have to be 100% white to look white. Many people who are only around 75% white look pure white.

I don’t know if that’s for the city or the province Buenos Aires. Anyway, Córdoba and Rosario are actually whiter than Buenos Aires. They also have way less immigrants from Bolivia and Peru. Also, that 97% number is likely the number of Argentines who are predominantly european (more than 50%, even 51%) or the percentage of white Argentines 50 or 60 years ago.
