As I said. EVs that qualify are any vehicle with a plug that has a battery capacity of 16kWh or more. If it was based off a price standpoint, say cars with a plug that are under for example $35,000. Then you have something like the Prius Plug-In with an 11 mile range getting reduced price as much as an EV with a 100 miles. Toyota may as well sell a standard Prius with the standard battery with a plug, and can sell far more of them with the incentive compared to the standard liftback.

True. Everyone knows and feels it, but it's not at all easy to put it out there given the response that'll get. DCTs are supposedly the god send that dispels pneumatic torque converters for two clutches that tear each other to pieces. They're mainly used wrong, they're good to get going but not optimal for slow speed traffic and creeping, and suffer from absolutely embarrassing reversing. DCTs should stick to +$60,000 cars for those who can easily repair it. I just hope I'm wrong regarding the Ioniq plug-in, and others such as Mercedes' and BMW's hybrids. The Volvo XC40 T3 system will be very similar too.

Another crossover SUV 🤦 But GM just killed off the Bolt EV 🤡

But it needs an electric version!!

Weird how Nissan hasn't tried an AWD LEAF. They have been using e-Four adaptation like this since 2002 in the Cube.

Which was inspired by the EV1.

Even though the battery is the obvious culprit, other factors add a lot to the price. The working force in Japan get paid very well, which adds to the price of the product, not the mention the strength of the Yen, and the cost of shipping the car from Japan to the US, Europe or Australia (Despite being fairly close, electric cars in Australia are the most expensive compared to the rest of the world) Nissan as solved the issue by building the LEAF in the US, which made it cheaper than the iMiev.

@Toni-SSF415 I drive a 2007 Prius (lol lol and so what lol) Love the bones of the car because it can do the most it could practically and efficiently. It could operate longer than myself could.

That just makes it better, even though I can't see the resemblance!

It's also a 6 year old car beneath the skin and seats.

Don't talk bollocks. A good reason for that is that no one remembers Mitsubishi that well. Their cars are competitive, especially the Mirage, but the brand name isn't a household name. The same thing could be said for Scion.

Under $25k. That sounded nice to me, until yesterday. The 2013 Leaf can be bought for just over $21000, and if you're in California, just under $19 grand. I'm not sure how well the Spark EV will cope against this new Leaf, especially price-wise. Maybe the EV version of the Spark can attract buyers for being the quickest model.

Jesus, is Electrify America that bad and expensive?

I'd much rather a Toyota hybrid that's capable of charging.
