  5. I don't know why they bother telling it at that speed when lbs of Downforce @ 150 mph has been the standard for Decades. European brands like to also give the Downforce @ 186 mph (porsche/McLaren) and Ferrari like to give it @ 124 mph?, A Few brands even posted Downforce at Top Speed. Regardless Aero-kit is nowhere near aggressive enough to slow it down that much.... Unless that is what they Governed it at? (Update) Watched another test video, Yes this is Governed to 180mph ;-( Even a Base 2020 Corvette can do 194 mph. 550 lbs @ 180 mph is about 346 lbs @ 150 mph which is around what a 458 Italia or ZL-1 1LE has and 50 lbs. less than a T/A 2.0 Viper.

  6. WTF? ALL Car brands sell models that the People want... What Sells/makes them money. It's what Every company does in their business. Neon was a good car but No one was buy it. Happens All the time. Alot has to do with Brand Loyalty/ Bias. Everyone thinks Orientals are the best at compact (Honda, Toyota, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, etc) Fact is they are wrong with a few brands/models/model years. most people don't know that the Original Neon was co-developed with Mitsubishi and used a Non-turbo Mitsubishi eclipse N/A engine and was a great car for someone that wanted to get into road-racing/SCCA Track racing. It was actually quicker through the tight section than the Dodge Viper.

  10. Technically they are right, Like you said it's "automated" /automatic as proven by the shifter knob that says P R N D...Where else have we seen that, Oh Yeah on EVERY automatic in history. No Clutch pedal = Automatic. Manual means the "Driver HAS TO" shift... you don't with this. The Only transmission that would correctly be called a Manual were the Old SMG transmissions in the M3...that transmission you could remove the solenoid pack and put in a shifter as it was the same Getrag transmission.

  12. Even the Base Model will go for Well above the MSRP. Just like the GT350/GT350Rs when they came out the base car will be $90-95k and the ones with the Carbon/track pack will go for $120<130k. It's Sad Ford lets their dealers Price Gouge so much:-( The Blue one in this video and the black one in Jay Leno's Video is $95,990 MSRP ... "as tested".

  13.  @markojokic2980  It was a Hellcat charger with drag radials running at night. The run was conducted by SRT and they played the video for reports during a presentation on the hellcats by SRT drivetrain Engineer Chris Cowland. ET was 10.7 in the 1/4 mile. 0-100 mph in 7.2s 0-60 mph was 2.9s. Obviously you aren't going to run that quick in the heat of the day or in the summer.

  14.  @hmackprotection1  Dude I NEVER said it had to be as HIGH as the Old Model, Just the same style (I.E. FUNCTIONAL and NOT for Just Show). FYI, The F40 and Surpa wings WERE High....Up to the Roofs...So Yes they were slightly Lower Copies as the Daytona wing was a few inches above the Roof. This Current Daytona would Look good, and Pay respect if it had the same design But Not above the roof line. If you are a JDM Fanboy and Not into 60's Muscle cars... So be it. It in NOWAY takes away from the millions of people that like them. Just look at what they sell for and the Records it set and anyone that Can't respect that is the IDIOT/TOOL.

  16. They still sold 2.5 times as many camaros as they did corvettes last year. That's not saying much, but compared the Impala only sold 6,000 more...but Ford doesn't even have a mid-size/ full-size family car.

  19. Still sad it's MOSTLY stamped steel for a $300k car. ALL GT models should have an Aluminum Chassis. Chassis material wise, the ONLY brand lagging behind Porsche is Nissan with it's Over-priced GTR.

  21. Actually NO, Motor week tests on None drag strip black top like motor trend does. The 2013 662hp GT500 only ran a 11.6@125.7mph on a similar track. In FACT the 850 hp Super snake on a similar track ran only a 12.0 @ 129.7 mph due to the tires. Ford actually has better tires than the All season BS SRT/Dodge puts on hellcat/this redeye....which causes the the slow 0-60/ 1/4 mile ET.

  27. C8 corvette only has 490 hp and doesn't have Track tires or high downforce packages available. You must have been thinking the C7 Zr-1? Sadly it was slow at Laguna Seca (didn't come close to the ACR Viper's time).

The 1986 GLH-S was the fast one High 14s in the 1/4 mile @ 93 mph, and would out run the Iroc. 1986 is when the Grand National started getting fast. 1991/1992 the Dodge Spirit R/T was the quickest/fastest 4 door car sold in the USA.

It's Crazy how much more american cars cost outside the USA vs. how little the price the price difference is to get other countries cars here. Definitely have to fix the import/export rates/laws.

  32. Actually with the Demon SRT made a point to enforce penalties on Dealers that tried to mark up the Demon. I would assume they would do the same here...Also it's not limited so it's easy enough to find an Honest dealer. Crazy to think it costs as much/less than a base 370hp 911.

  35. Motor trend said they drove a (Non-Carbon fiber package Gt500) and No One got in the 10's with it. With the PS4 ladden GT500, Motor trend said the best they got was something like a 11.287@ 129 mph.

  36. Not really, As You would never be able to get one for base MSRP, also the Carbon Fiber track pack alone cost $18,500 extra. The Blue one in this Video has an MSRP of $95,990, and 1 guy on here that works at a Ford dealership says they are selling them for $30k OVER MSRP.

  37. You do realize they ran in 90 degree high humidity? A GTR would be in the 12's in those conditions. Also this is a <$90k car.....NOTHING can come close for the price. The next cheapest is a Million dollar 918 or P1 McLaren.ALL of which aren't classified as "Mass produced" as they aren't made in quantities greater than 250/year. That's why they don't matter.

  39.  @justinluttrell8990  Yeah, that SVT SC mustang was one of the nice ones... The 4.6 DOHC Cobra wasn't that impressive...especially for the money. My Favorite Mustang that I drove when I worked at the Ford dealership was the 5.4L Cobra R. The first Mustang that actually handled well since the boss 302 from 1969. It's funny how handling is now important... when for the last 30+ yrs the Camaro has been out handling Mustang by a LARGE margin....but the Mustang has always out sold them? I guess Mustang owners only really care about the sound... as Mustangs have always had that.
