The ZL1 Only has a different hood vs. a base/SS camaro. A Wide body Challenger is easy to notice compared to a base or srt392 challenger and the hellcat/redeye/demon also have different hoods, Like the levels of camaros.

  5. I'd NEVER get a Sunroof... As a Technician it's a Nightmare for issues/problems. Also on the Redeye a Sunroof is a $1,995 option.

  9. Sadly in NJ you have to have a front license plate... BUT Most car enthusiats put it on the Passenger side dash, "Like an Inspection sticker" and keep the front end looking good. * Problem solved ;-)

My buddy couldn't keep up with the work pace and moved to the USA Headquarters in NJ. I meet him while doing a class on the then x5m and fo1 models. He introduced me to the engineer he worked with. They were servicing Ralph Laren"s F1 LM and he offered a ride. A ride only equalled by the Pro-street cars I work on.

  15. Redeye ONLY comes with the auto as Tremec doesn't make a Manual that is rated/Warrantied for More than 650 ft-lbs. Hellcats are right at the 650TQ rating. Originally the ZL-1 1LE Only came with the manual but for 2019 I just saw that they offer it with the 10spd... but probably not many of them are autos.

  16. Sadly, there wasn't a DCT available during it's production that could handle the Torque... Only just recently did Tremec Release the Front engine/RWD DCT in the GT500. With the DCT it would be so much quicker and drop the track records to the point that no street legal car < 1,000hp could touch it.

  17.  @WindyCity1992  It was amazing, but it was nohwere the fastest. The 1989 Callaway Sledgehamner ran 254.76 mph. It held the record beyond any Veyron or Koenigsegg until the record attempt in utah. The bugatti NEVER HELD THE STREET LEGAL PRODUCTION CAR RECORD.

  19. That "Purple" is called Plum Crazy Purple keeping with it's 1970 retro theme... as it was called that back then. Others are. Sublime - Bright green B5 Blue Sadly this Purple isn't available for 2020 only for 2019 models. They cut the number of optional colors from 14 in 2019 to just 9 for 2020, all the retro colors I mentioned are no-longer available.

  22. That's the car model, the Model X is Tesla's SUV and has a Max Tow rating 2,400lbs Less than the Trackhawk. Also the Trackhawk has a greater Range (418 vs. 305miles) and Much quicker to refilling. Also No Tesla Car or suv has any sort of top end. Trackhawk does 180mph, much faster than the P100d. Teslas are 1 trick pony's...only quick from a standing start.

Actually Randy drove the Gt500 and the C8 Corvette a VIR Raceway: Gt500 - 1:56.30 C8 - 2:00.96 Roll Race the C8 would be LAST. standing 1/4 mile would be close, 0.1 sec difference between the Gt500 (with a driver that knows how to Launch) and the C8. 0-60 mph is where the C8 Wins. Redeye is the Top speed King here even , C8 would Only beat the Gt500 Track PK and the Zl-1 1LE, the regualr Zl-1 would out run the C8.

As For the Z06, It's ALOT more expensive (w/ the Z07 package with the Lowest trim -it's still $95k (most are $102k+ vs. $73k for the ZL-1 1LE Motor trend tested). Not to mention corvettes are only 2 seats, this can carry 4 ... albeit small people/kids in the back seat. Don't know the cost difference but it's also Spool-valve shocks vs. Magnetic Ride. Sadly the New ZR-1 was ONLY 0.55 seconds faster than the Z06 (which has 105 Less HP and ALot less downforce). C6 Zr-1 with the current Zr-1's Downforce would out lap both the C7 Z06 and C7 Zr-1 there.

  30. They said it has a 1 sec Delay...and you would have to Guess/launch early. They also said in testing that the regular ZL-1 10spd runs the same time... Mainly because of the stiffer suspension, Weight and aero. The ZL-1 Camaro is around 3930 lbs, Gt500 is in the middle of the 3 at 4,200+lbs. To put it in perspective, the difference in weight between the Zl-1 and Gt500 is almost exactly the same as the difference between the GT500 and Redeye.

Tremec's Best trans. is rated for 650 ft-lbs like in the OG Hellcats/Viper and ZL-1(Not sure if that what they use). I DOn't KNow of ANY Front engine /RWD Manual that is rated for more other than FULL -Race Jerico/Liberty/Jefco/ G-Force or Lenco....But a Lenco is 100% Drag racing. X-TRAC Builts the GTS-R trans... For $40k.

That is the Fastest model ever sold in the USA It had that crazy A/C Clutch That locked up and kicked the Supercharger from 5k to 60k in no time on the 4.4L V8....So alot in common except for the AWD.

  49. Need to run them in the SILVER STATE Classic, as "it is THE LONGEST/FASTEST, public road races in the World. World RECORD"The AVG. Record is 219.6340mph (avg.) over 90<120 miles. On the 5+ miles straights they have been over 240 mph. Non of them can touch the record... but it's the best comparison of the 3 that can be done in the USA for more than 60 miles of testing.

But the Most part it's MUCH CHEAPER getting MORE power from a BIG American V8 than a Small Euro/JDM engine....No matter the replies from the Youtube /peanut gallery... It's a FACT. Big V8s Will Always sound better than turbo V6/4 cyl. engines.
