@Boobobear This is 100% true.
1
@robinburn4974 It was racialised when it was used as an insult as I already explained unless you are being intentionally obtuse. There's nothing wrong with using the word curry if you want to and it's not racist to do so. If you are referring to food. The original comment asked if there was any potential racist context and I offered an example

Please groom yourself Neil, it's looking very untidy at this point.
1
@thegrandmuftiofwakanda It's a 10-15 minute segment of a show. If a conversation has to be longer, it needs a podcast.
1
Numb nuts want low taxes without decreasing spending. You can't lower taxes if you're going to spend more as well. Also, bad time to lower taxes in a time of economic strife.
1
@stevedapom Qatar is worse than the UAE. You'd have to be stupid not to see that!
1
@deco2132 LOL I love how much people hate savers because they're not doing enough to stimulate the economy.
1
Agree, what a shame.

@El.Cid17 What has his wife done? It was all legal. What he has done on the other hand was Boris' bidding until it was too much.
1
@El.Cid17 Then ask the governments, all the successive governments to repeal it! Remember, "No man in the country is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or property as to enable the Inland Revenue to put the largest possible shovel in his stores. The Inland Revenue is not slow, and quite rightly, to take every advantage which is open to it under the Taxing Statutes for the purposes of depleting the taxpayer's pocket. And the taxpayer is in like manner entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Inland Revenue." That is the law of the land.
1
@El.Cid17 Every chancellor before him was in charge. They didn't want to remove it. Did he pledge to remove it? No. So why did it fall on him to remove it? If Labour pledges to remove it and they get into power, then hold them to account if they don't do it.
1
@El.Cid17 Just because the chancellor benefits from it doesn't change anything. The law existed prior to him becoming chancellor and his wife happened to benefit from it. He never pledged to repeal it. If those who pledge to repeal it do not do it, then hold them to account. I don't have double standards. He didn't bring the law to benefit himself, the law already existed and he never claimed he'd repeal it.

Busy working to earn more than the White British. Quite literally. The last time they had a Hindu on, the was a Hedge Fund Manager.
1
Did you see the resignation letter? It's Boris' policies and Rishi Sunak has had to sign off on Boris' policies grudgingly.
1
I hope the focus stays domestic. There are many places to go for foreign issues but the focus should be domestic and also in places outside of London.
1
Social media platforms should be held to the standards of legality. If they censor content that is legal, then they are a publisher and should lose any benefits of neutrality.
1
You do realise that the bond markets cannot be engineered? There are far too many players in it.
1
Your fact check is wrong. Field hockey is also not the national sport of India. A kid sent a right to information to the government once and the government replied that even field hockey is not the national sport of India, though it was widely thought to be.
1
@ginastockings2151 Any comments on the other countries or all are not civilised?
1
I am friends with some people but still don't have even a bit of a say in what they do. How do you know that Abramovich can do something?
1
Why would you want Boris back. Are the Tories this stupid?
1
@longjonwhite hahah good catch of my typo
1
What a bunch of lemmings who spend their night and day worrying about "Palestine" waving its flag in Britain all the time.
1
Imagine a Labour government with better policies on net zero.
1
Party of family values, apparently. Can we have Rishi Sunak instead please?
1
This is beginning to get boring GB News. We can't just have a channel talking about wokeism everyday. Let's cover a better variety of topics please.
1
Strange to watch Dehenna talk to Richard as she's an MP too.
1
Immigration is not inherently bad but you need to see which immigrants produce what outcomes as a whole and discourage immigration from some places and accept immigration from places with a higher calibre of immigrants.
1
@ste2442 You hear younger versions of Jamie Carragher talk and it's really quite something!
1
There's something funny about someone from NI telling people that we need to get rid of flags.
1
@mrdee2454 Goan Christians aren't exactly big supporters of Punjabi Hindus
1
@83c91 If he was really trying to make himself look good, he certainly seemed to be sabotaging himself.
1
@83c91 I think his supporters wanted him to be unfiltered. He on the other hand was not making any effort to try to look good. And that's what his supporters appreciated because they felt this was him being real.
1
@83c91 Not sure where I mentioned he was a good president. Trump was effective because he pointed out issues that others didn't talk about. Like it or not, he is the man who put China on the global agenda. Now whether he was successful at accomplishing solutions to problems identified is a different matter.
1
Dan, your opposition to Sunak has frankly been irrational and digusting.
1
I think there could be value to exporting green technology around the world. Otherwise it's pointless.
1
@sisiphas People have such a habit of exaggerating on the internet...
1
@greyvoice7949 If someone puts pressure on you, its still your choice. If someone forces you, that is wrong. There is a difference. You can be pressurised to do many good things as well. If someone is a little lost in life, they can get pressured to make a change. If they are forced, it's wrong. You will feel all sorts of pressure and obligations in your life. How you respond to it is your choice. If you are forced, it is wrong.
1
@greyvoice7949 Dude, it's not your culture so you don't understand the difference between being forced and a good arranged marriage. I have seen this throughout my life. The way it works is you meet somebody, you meet them some more for about a two months or so. Then you decide to move ahead with engagement. Then you do that and there's a post-engagement period that's up to you. Usually 6-7 months. I've also seen cases where people decided to get engaged and then broke the engagement before marriage because they realised they would not be compatible. And that was fine. They found other people a year later. If someone forces you to marry, that is wrong and should not happen.
1
@greyvoice7949 Keep telling yourself that you know much better as an outsider.
1
@greyvoice7949 PEOPLE FREELY CHOOSE ARRANGED MARRIAGE TOO! That's the point. Forced marriage and arranged marriages are different... Getting really annoyed now.
1
@greyvoice7949 By your own logic, you are conditioned into thinking the way you think and therefore cannot understand the other person's POV. Why are you so complacent that you cannot consider the possibility that another person might have something valid to say?
1
@colin562 So then don't go there. Call them out for it if you want. But if you visit their country, you should behave.
1
@colin562 Okay let's say the workers don't go to Qatar, how would you help them. Come on now, you care so much about them!
1
@colin562 When did I say Qatar is helping workers? It's many of my countrymen who die but you're the one who is worked up about it. What I am asking you is that since it is bothering you so much, what do you want to do to help them? Are you going to do something?
1
There should be only one British team. I contend to you that the states of India are far more different than England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, yet there is only one Indian team.
1
@terryreknaw6152 Ok.
1
@asonofharoldgodwin I wouldn't put it past Rees Mogg to make such comments so I wouldn't be so sure. To be clear, I didn't care so much but I can imagine that it doesn't go down well with people who felt they were treated unfairly by the Thatcher era.
1
@KnowYoutheDukeofArgyll1841 I don't have a problem with it.
1
When it comes to the topic of immigration, Davis goes soft.
