@shaunvduke It took me a second but I see what you did there.. 😂😂😂👍

Yes but not for the inventors...

@JPGotrokkits The claim of no MIC is based on the amount of profit those companies make and therefore the amount of sway they have with politicians. If you look up the amount of profit that companies have made, Apple is I think about 10 times more than Lockheed Martin, as are many other companies. It's no secret that retired Generals join the boards of companies and/ or become CEO's to influence military spending. However, those companies don't have anywhere near the lobbying power of the very profitable American companies. There may be a military-industrial complex but there are much bigger industrial complexes for other industries.
2
@juanmangasmochas1533 Garden plot, thanks I'll look that up, should be interesting.
2
Reminds me of Russia blowing up Ukrainiane grain.
2
What's the difference between the US and Israel? The Israelis put together a strike package in 24 hours while the Americans need 24 days, weeks or months because they don't want to "escalate the situation".
2
That may still be the policy but I think we've given up that capability.
2
When considering US logistics capability for conflicts across the ocean you have to take a hard look at our military seal lift command, Merchant Marine and ready reserve. When it comes to moving lots of stuff across the ocean we are not in good shape. We're actually not in good shape when it comes to any kind of ship construction. If we were in a direct conflict with China how would we respond when all of our critical products from China dry up? How well can we fight when we can't get medications and other critical things like that?
2
How would title 18 of the u.s. code apply to somebody in Russia? You said that Americans join the Israeli military all the time and apparently they don't have to worry about 18 USC 2332G. Why would it be different if someone were to join the Russian military or some other nations military?
2
@catc8927 Thanks, it's great to hear from someone with personal ties there. I wouldn't think of your parents as being paranoid at all. If you have the opportunity to leave a potentially very dangerous area, that is the prudent thing to do. Good job Mom and Dad!
2
I can translate that to plain english. Sabrina said "you don't need to know".
2
Despite being a republican city, county and state, the federal government could have dumped 20,000 immigrants there. I don't think that Ryan answered that question.

Regarding the threat of manpads and the effectiveness of JDAMs, I think it's a little more complicated. Stingers and similar weapons can be defeated by flying above their maximum range. JDAMs have greater range if they're released at high altitude. For both of these reasons the F-16s will want to fly as high as possible but that makes them more vulnerable to S300s and 400s. Depending on how effective the HARM missiles are at suppressing enemy radar they may enable the F-16s to fly nice and high. The AMRAAM also works better when released at high altitude so the effectiveness of the HARMs is key to everything. Also of concern might be stupid rules of engagement. Will Ukrainian pilots be allowed to shoot at Russian planes that are launching weapons from over Russia??? Can they attack radars and other equipment that are operating from the Russian side of the border???
2
Swarms are autonomous. Lilots don't individually fly the drones of a swarm. I guess it's possible that there could be a pilot that operates the swarm collectively.
2
Yeah it looks like they went over the bay and up the coast, past Atlantic City before turning westbound and heading towards the base.

Denys is not a great war analyst however he is a great resource to learn how to pronounce things in Ukraine. I highly recommend his channel for that...
2
@pogo1140 Almost all reports of drone strikes turned out to be wrong. Very very few of them actually occurred. Do you have any specific information that people can look up to confirm your claim?

@whitehorse4318 👍

Ryan tell your mom that she's thinking of democratic senator Menendez...

California too. This is not new and the fact that our government has nothing to say about it is overwhelming evidence that the government is behind it. There is no way that this has been happening since 2019 and 5 years later the government hasn't figured out a way to mitigate the situation. They haven't mitigated it because they're the ones doing it. They haven't told us about it because we don't need to know. As these incidents happen around the country, Americans are slowly learning what it's like to live in Nevada where experimental, top secret aircraft are tested.

@ryan Mcbeth I saw your post about long render times and asking for suggestions on computers. as far as I know there's no way to go back to a post that I saw earlier so I'm commenting here... I'm not familiar with that brand that you mentioned but if I were going to get a high performance computer now and had some money to spend, I would probably go with Puget systems, or just put one together myself.
1
Gramps, you mentioned the SU-25's being ineffective. I don't know the statistics but if they've been very ineffective why are they still being used? If they are effective enough to still use them why wouldn't A-10s be at least that effective?

There are other edits of that video online. I watched one on Denys Davydov that showed the turret spinning wildly out of control and eventually crashing into a tree. then the crew jumped out and ran. On the uncensored video you can see what appears to be several shots without the big fiery burst. Commenters indicate that those were the Sabot anti armor rounds. When the Bradley exhausted those it switched to the HE rounds. We don't know that that particular Bradley had a toe missile launcher or that they were supplied missiles for it. If it was equipped with toe missiles they may have already used them, They only hold 2 loaded missiles. It also makes sense that they didn't use the tow because they didn't want to be stationary. In the uncensored video you can see that while in front of the tank, the Bradley constantly moves forward and reverse to never be stationary, disallowing the tank to target them.

If napalm isn't usable because it's dropped as a bomb and bombers get shot down, how has Russia been making all of its progress this year do to the use of the FAB bombs?

Some of what Israel does is counter productive 😢

The last time I saw that kind of behavior it was a police officer who had a search warrant and figured it was a license to act like this childish soldier

@colchronic Perhaps designed to withstand a nuclear blast but with the Soviet corruption level at 10, imagine how much compromise could have occurred in the building of the Dam.
1
@colchronic Hi Mars rounds are deadly for vehicles and personnel but not for dams LOL. Brian suggested that it would take tons of explosives and highmore's rounds are under a hundred pounds each. I looked it up... The warhead is produced by General Dynamics and contains 51 pounds (23 kg) of PBX-109 high explosive in a steel blast-fragmentation case. Remember when they were attacking the antonovsky bridge for months and months? They shot that thing with himars day after day and couldn't get it to fall. It's also just a bridge without a dam underneath.

That crater is too big to have been created by an s300, right? That's from a ballistic missile or cruise missile, something designed to blow up things on the ground as opposed to a fragile aircraft... Right?
1
@dizzygamer619 But they do carry empty tubes because they rigged up new batteries on them and they utilize those for the optics. it lets them see better than most other viewing devices.

@SgtBeltfed Great points 👍

@treebeardtheent2200 🤣🤣🤣👍

So the guy with the biggest ego is the easiest to manipulate. Now imagine the guy with the biggest ego and least ethics/morals. Most of us are picturing the same dude...

I wonder if someone in Kenya would get the Colombo reference? 🤔

Very interesting Thanks Ryan

Trucks as WMD has been a thing for decades. As people have then hysterical about the threat of drones over the last couple years I've been reminding them that every pressure cooker, garbage can, mailbox, package on their porch, and vehicle on the roads could be an explosion waiting to happen... orders of magnitude greater than the consumer that they're worried about. On top of that, it's very easy to turn a light airplane into a drone with a very large explosive payload. Those same aircraft can also easily be rigged to drop anything in large quantities. Think of a crop duster or even just dumping a tank of whatever, anywhere the pilot wants to. Maybe we should just ban everything, right?

Seems like a strange policy from the country that was founded on give me liberty or give me death. We wouldn't have won the revolutionary war without support from Spain the Netherlands and France. We didn't have the cards.

A- The video lost a couple points for white balance and overexposure but otherwise it's excellent as usual

The no status immigrants haven't been coming recently, they've been coming for decades, practically my entire life. They haven't been coming in the hundreds or thousands either, they've been coming in the thousands every day and total in the millions. As mentioned this is not a new situation. this has persisted through many presidencies and neither party really wants to fix it. It's like the gift that keeps on giving. They keep using the issue for political gain by pretending to want to fix it and continuing to blame each other. The people who are currently pretending to want to fix it and holding up aid to Ukraine over this border issue are 100% disingenuous. There could be a perfect resolution available today and they would hide it because they don't want to fix it. If Trump is elected he might finally do something to fix it because he just cares about making himself look good but you can bet that if the democrats have an opportunity to prevent that they will. At this moment the democrats seem more motivated to fix or at least reduce the problems at the border but a few republicans are blocking the way. While democrats and republicans pretend to want to fix the issue and blame each other for preventing any resolution, I blame them all for being lying, disgraceful people who don't care about the negative effects of their actions in this country or abroad.

Picatinny Arsenal like Fort Hamilton and some other military facilities are not restricted airspace. Since the TFR was put up for Picatinny I'm not aware of any reliable reports of unidentified aircraft flying there.

@micahbonewell5994 Horrific 😞 Too bad the Russians came and started this whole mess and every day that they don't just leave and put it into it is a new tragedy :-(

@romanstingler435 I can give you one example from current events although I'm not a former lobbyist... I don't have the time to give a list of citations so you'll have to fact check... Some politically and financially motivated pundits and politicians have created a narrative that Chinese consumer and enterprise drones are a threatto US national security. Why would they do that? There's been no substantiating evidence presented and to the contrary there have been several independent audits that show no threat. As far as I can tell the narrative started from so-called experts trying to make a name for themselves. Over in the last 10 years a few American companies tried to produce drones and they were total failures as drones and as companies. During that time some MIT students created a company called Skydio which dabbled in this and that, mainly focused on trying to come up with a drone for deliveries. Then they decided to take a shot where all the others had failed and released a consumer drone in 2018. It totally failed. Skydio realized that the consumer market was too hard so they shifted to enterprise first responder and military markets. They struggled there as well and while they have now finally come out with a drone that somewhat usable it's still half as capable as the Chinese equivalent and cost 5 times more. So about to fail again Skydio decided to get political and have the competition banned from the US market. Recently Skydio has been spending tons of money to sway politicians like Stephanik and Texter, to perpetuate the false narrative of a national security threat and to higher people with ties to politicians. Skydio can't produce drones that compete with DJI so they're trying to have DJI banned. Not just from the military market, they also want it banned from consumers, hobbyist and small businesses. Skydio has one drone model that is not suitable for 99% of the American market. They're not trying to build in American drone industry they're trying to destroy it, making themselves the only option. Some corrupt American politicians are happy to take the money. If you want more specific information leave a comment and I can try to come up with a reading list for you. There's a channel called steel city drones that has been covering the latest attempts to get Skydio banned through the NDAA and other legislation. DJI imports are currently being held at customs because because somebody in the government alleges that they used slave labor to produce the drones. Our government doesn't have a problem with Chinese labor for hundreds of billions of dollars of products, but 10 million worth of drones is all a sudden a problem?

Great video. Thanks for making me smarter!

I think that Ryan is a little off with his Air Force aircraft recommendations. New F35s and F35 upgrades are severely backordered. The Air Force has already figured out that they need to let the A-10s go. They've actually been trying to get rid of them for a long time but everybody outside of the Air Force loves the plane too much. The Ukraine war has finally proven its vulnerability to enough people that it's finally on it's way out. There are some situations where fourth gen airplanes will work well but not always, and like already mentioned, we can't get enough F-35s
1
Great analysis and explanation of a lot of factors. I've had that experience of suddenly being expected to do something you are always trained not to do. Really hard to make the switch... I also understand that other thing that gets better but doesn't go away. Some experiences flip a switch in your brain in an instant. overtime that switch may ease back towards the original position but also may never there...
1
That's not a good argument. Friendly fire incidents are not the fault of the plane being shot at.
1
Did Ryan just out himself as a cake eater???😂😂😂 jk LOL

Empire shield or eagle shield?

The Russian helicopters could be easily defeated with something like the Patriot system. Unfortunately Patriots are in extremely short supply and cost a $Billion

Rental car analogy is not a good one. Better analogy would be someone who owns 2 very different vehicles and uses them both regularly. When you get in your 68 Camaro a cold day you know to reach for the joke but you don't do that in your 2024 F-150.
