@RolopIsHere thanks for the info, what country might i ask?
1
@Aaron.Thomas so the current welfare system we offer in the us is sufficient to bankrupt us eventually. It’s like a trillion over what the treasury brings in. If the rich are taxed any more they will stop working and we are all screwed as they pay nearly all the taxes anyway. If the us goes bankrupt, like 100 million people will go without a check. It would be like lord of the flies at that point.
1
@e.1766 govt took in like 4 trillion last year and spent around 6 trillion. And half of the federal budget is healthcare spending. We need to take in 50% more taxes to even break even. So, I would totally be on board with raising taxes on every american by 50% of what they are already paying so we don't destroy our currency through inflation.
1
@ucnguyenvan8176 the point is there are thousands of people in China who are posting on American internet websites trying to cause division.
1
@ucnguyenvan8176 the govt is going into debt at a rate of 5 billion a day to pay for mostly social safety net items. Soon the interest payments on 32 trillion in debt will be around a trillion a year. The govt only takes in 4 trillion a year. It also spends 6 trillion. It’s only a matter of time. At this pace within a few years the US dollar will be worthless. Good luck with your food stamps then. There will massive starvation on a level the world hasn’t seen before. So, if the govt doesn’t cut its budget by 30% we are all doomed.
1
@WhatdidtheCountessdo russia and china do spend billions of dollars a year to influence american elections and view points. They know if we go full socialist or communist we will be crippled and our currency will be worthless.
1
@alexisbrown8545 seems like socialized medicine leads to rationing and ultimately euthanasia. they can't afford to treat people so they just kill them or get them to kill themselves. What's the point in healthcare if they just ask you to die if you want to use it.
1
Look up the laffer curve, After like 50% taxes, people stop working. Tax revenue goes down, social services get cut. People move out of cities or stave. They tried to confiscate land in russia in the communist revoluion. The farmers burned their tools and moved away and 10s of millions starved as a result.
1
@Attaxalotl They have tried taxing the rich over and over. They just stop working. If I was a millionaire, i would stop working too. Look up the laffer curve. As taxes go up, peoples output goes down. There is no incentive to work, only risk. This is why our govt is going into debt at a rate of 5 billion a day. You could tax the wealthy at 100% and it would't come close to paying for our social welfare state.
1
its funny, without wall street, these companies wouldn't exist or would have to substantially raise their rates. Companies like this use investors to raise capitol and pay employees with stock options. Without that, they would have to go to banks for money and pay interest. It would make everything about this company more expensive.
1
@rennoc6478 yes, put a bunch of people who have no idea how to run a business in charge. They tried that during the bolshevik revolution in farms. Needless to say, massive starvation. Some people are gifted and some people are hard working, regardless, these people need to be paid or they go somewhere else.
1
they would just move to another county. Look at china, every rich person is transferring their currency out to get anywhere but china. Thanks communism!
1
@monsterglacier good thing a lot of hard working, family oriented, mostly religious people are coming across the border to replace the people who are not willing or able to fix up their neighborhoods.
1
Actually the corporations are selling now because we are headed into a recession. If you have cash it would be a good time to buy.
1
We should definitely save the schools where 97% of high school graduates can't read.
1
this will never get built, there is no demand for rail. The unions will be an anchor on the nothing that will get built.
1
He does being up a good point. Your waitress making 40k a year has a very similar life to a millionare. Same phone,, same tv, same netflix. Clearly there are differences. But both tend to have a car, air conditioning etc. Go to some countries in africa, those kids are living and dying in dirt. Also, I made like $350 today from selling puts. Options can be an amazing thing.
1
Be careful, the economy is falling apart. They may just move to Mexico. They pay $10 an hour there for labor that is on par with the us if not better. They likely will deal with a lot less nonsense like lawsuits, etc
1
that wasnt your home, you were just renting a space that belonged to someone else. Good cause eviction protections increase the risks associated with renting and drives up the cost of rents. Good cause eviction will eliminate any investment in that community. It also takes away profits that can be used to maintain buildings. Inflation is caused by the rapid increase in the money supply, just look at the M2 Money Supply chart. Businesses have always been greedy, thats nothing new. A lot of those vacant apartments are rent-controlled. Land lords would lose money renting them out because it would cost them tens of thousands of dollars to bring it up to code and they can only rent them out for like $400-$500. It would cost land lords money to rent them out. People want the benefit of the high wages of a high cost of living area, but not the expenses of housing. They need to move to a low cost of living area like West Virginia.
1
I stopped watching tv years ago, these folks are like coal miners complaining that all the coal plants are shutting down.
1
I guess it is better than the hospital closing due to mismanagement.
1
@oneleggeddog this report is very misleading. Uber posts what the customer pays on every trip and what their take rate it. What they are not telling you is the cost of insurnace which is substantial.
1
To be a socialist, you must ignore history.
1
seriously, you cant afford to live in a town, just move. Thats how this country works. You don't like something, leave or build your own houses.
1
makes you wonder why anyone even bothers to start a company in the united states. someone always going to sue you.
1
even at $20 an hour, whats the point, it doesn't buy you anything. thats only like 40k a year. And health insurnace through a private company usually is pretty terrible, obama care is way better.
1
You mean the Gulf of America
1
so move. i couldnt affort to live up north so i moved to a city where i could afford to buy a house and live comfortably. You act like people cant afford a greyhound ticket.
1
For all the faults of a private health system it is light years past socialized medicine. How do I know? Well, Canada can’t afford to offer it and instead euthanasia is a better option. So, their health care is literally suicide.
1
@Spock_Rogers got cancer? Right this way, for all the taxes you have paid we offer a cheap and easy way to off yourself. Thanks socialized medicine!
1
talk to people who actually live until this nonsense, 18 month wait for a biopsy years wait for treatment. your better off just in a cash system at that point.
1
if you cap credit card interest rates at 10%, like 50% of people who use credit cards will no longer have access. I am all for it. People are so terrible with their finances. This will stop people from destroying themselves.
1
Tesla has no union and every time they start to organize, people magically get fired.
1
@WilliamWatrous r&d. manufacturing is not the issue.
1
@SharienGaming I don’t know the percentage but a ton of biotechs fund through the stock market.
1
so, the govt of PR was reckless and wasted alot of money, the population lives in desperate poverty, the govt offers tax incentives for rich people to move there. The rich people move there and create jobs. The poor people wish there were more jobs that paid better. Somehow this is a bad thing. If they ended the tax breaks, it would just be poor people not being able to support themselves again. PR has a huge drug problem because of where its located. Taking money from the rich isnt going to change anything.
1
@frankd.506 virtually all the recalls are over the air. WiFi
1
@frankd.506 the entire company of Tesla is set up to avoid unions. Unions destroy everything they touch.
1
i know right, with benefits these workers make 100k a year and they want $300k s year. Don't be surprised when your jobs go to mexico.
1
@anthonycekic4509 well look at China, county is about to collapse because of incompetence in the govt. half the county is in desperate poverty. Thanks to the ccp 80% of the ground water is toxic.
1
This report is very misleading. I have 15k trips as a rideshare driver. Uber posts at the bottom in the trip details what their take rate is, for me its 12% for the past month. Where they are getting this 50-60% number is not accounting for commercial insurance payments that come out of each trip. They are substantial. On a recent trip the customer paid $11.92, I made $8.64, the insurnace cost was $1.44 and uber made $1.84 in a service fee. Uber is not making much money considering insurance. I feel they are going to have to charge at least 20% more to passengers and likely have to split that with drivers.
1
@factsoverfiction7826 so out of each fare there is a fee for insurance costs that goes to progressive. We do carry personal insurance but that doesn't cover commercial activities. This is why the fares are so high.
1
@kestononline i have thought about investing in Uber but something is fishy with this company. They don’t make any money. I think the executives are soaking the stock market while they make it seem like they are expanding. Uber is definitely going bankrupt it’s just a matter of when. I do a bunch of trips and look back and Uber lost money on the trip. It makes no sense. Like I said, the executives are boosting up their numbers to pump the stock and are doing to cash out when the company goes bust.
1
@FrancisWilly96 I got a permanent ban from Reddit for making fun of unions. No a plant, I just have a lot of kids, one of whom has autism so i need a job I can work at night so i can be there for his stuff during the day.
1
great now the wage-price spiral will be put on overdrive now. If you thought inflation was bad before, wait until this starts.
1
communism - where you own nothing and the govt employees hoard all the wealth.
1
@killermouse01 I have know of a few nurses making over 6 figures and a doctor who makes millions. The workers are making plenty.
1
most kids of rich people when they get the money waste it on drugs and women. i would donate any real wealth to charity if I were rich
1
Things aren't getting more expensive, your money is becoming less valuable. Eventually, the dollar will be worthless and we will have to return to the gold standard.
1
what they don't tell you is insurance costs for land lords is skyrocketing. Alot are getting out and selling condos to get out of the rental business as a result.
