@shinealight5002 A very good friend caught "it" before the vaccine was available and his description of what he went through was frightening. I also remember finding out about the death toll in some poorer countries where corruption prevented ordinary people getting the vaccine.

I guess a lot of you will not have any idea of how many guys between about 20 and 40 who are apparently fit and healthy die from SADS every year. Up to around 2019, about 500 each year went this way. Who remembers more than a few footballers who died or very nearly did before around 2019? And all that was before cocaine and some other naughty substances became really popular with people like that. Remember how some countries report cause of death?

Did I hear someone shout YESSSSS!
2
@stephenboyd4934 Is it "If you tolerate this, then your children will be next" or would the much older Who number, "Won't get fooled again"? Note very carefully the lyrics of the latter as they are very topical these days.
2
@UkTruthSeeker2009 Like that is going to happen unless someone is being stitched up!
2
It seems you share my fears about home schooling (or non-schooling as it is sometimes called). I know it can help with certain children however, those children often don't have a future in "normal " society anyway for various reasons. Sadly many schools don't seem to be helping themselves these days when it comes to getting parental "buy-in" which is essential although even that can have a big negative effect given the nature of some parents these days.
2
If anyone wants to witness hate crimes, just listen to the animal rights/ anti-fieldsports people insulting and threatening normal people.
2
We need to bring back the good old fashioned building societies owned by members just like there were in many small towns. Too many people were bought out by promises of rewards when they changed to banks in Maggie's day and soon after.
2
@mariahewitt9787 Does that matter? Are you not better than "them" in your mind?
2
@Stantheman848 Respect has to be earned, so I guess no one will ever respect you?
2
😅I heard from a reliable source the tale of a girl who was bitten by a classmate who identified as an animal of some sort.
2
@RaceLever What is served as lamb generally is just the meat from younger sheep. Mutton is nicer but a bit out of fashion.
2
@RaceLever There is a religion/ belief set that will not eat root crops because of the fact you kill worms etc to collect them and the root crops are living things too.
2
@chelsee6453 If that is accurate, the biggest issue there can be traced back to good old Maggie when she let solicitors advertise and become ambulance chasers like they are in the US. Her actions then have cost the country millions but worse still have taken responsibility for ones actions away from idiots and criminals.
2
The easiest and cheapest way to avoid speeding fines and similar that is totally legal is to not speed or drive in bus lanes etc.
2
We need some yobs on jet skis to patrol the channel and pop some flares in the dinghies
2
I want to make fake vegetables from meat!

The virtue signalling element is directly linked to money and the accountants running banks know that. If they perceive that being seen to do something "good" by a suitable number of their customers might attract more, then that is what they will do. It is down to the ignorance of the masses.

Bubbley and cheese - very apt.

Oh dear, what a pity, some stupidly rich idiots are going to die, whoopee, long may it continue.
1
I started to spot something was going wrong with society when the government gave "rights" to disabled people at he expense of decent, hard working normal people. This was confirmed when the BBC started to employ scruffy, self important presenters with ridiculous regional accents just to make other morons like them feel "wanted".

Best Christmas song ever!
1
If you're alive, why should you care? It seems the only people who care are the I told you so bunch which strikes me as a little odd, almost virtue signalling.
1
Sorry but I find this disgusting! I am all for people who are proud of their culture and origin, sadly that does not apply to the English.
1
Mr Oliver needs to be careful slagging off the elite who run the world in case he gets accused of anti sem as everyone knows who those elites are!
1
There is a lot to be said for a benevolent dictatorship compared to a corrupt democracy.
1
Typical of the 4x2s, creating a diversion.
1
If it gets rid of a few waste of time and air folks it cannot be all bad!
1
A hammer is sometimes referred to as a Scots or Irish screwdriver.
1
@lyndoncmp5751 I would suspect that this issue is the result of one or two Frenchies who are upset by some Brits rather than anything endemic.
1
Did you know that the number of cases of serious food poisoning (including fatal! ) dropped dramatically during the lockdown, as well as a couple of other health issues).
1
@mariecurie7491 The number of cases of SADS has always been surprising, going back many years. It tends to typically affect apparently one healthy people in the 20 to 40 age group. I recall more than a few famous footballers etc going (or nearly) that way. If you doubt this, totally trustworthy historical data can be found.
1
@kazzarob253 There is one thing about having racoons in the advert and that is, the common abbraciavtion for them appear in very many adverts these days.
1
But they are good Tory supporters and Freemasons.
1
It was not cut short because he was a criminal either, it was because he was stupid.
1
The French police fixed one of their illegals the other day in Paris but it caused problems.
1
Who cares about how dangerous things are if the people involved are aware of the dangers?
1
Blasting up and down the shipping lanes at 30 knots would work wonders, specially if the boats were not properly trimmed so they created a lot of wake.
1
@boofuu3145 Could that be the funeral of the "victim " (i.e criminal) who got himself shot the other day?
1
@Rob-zv1oz I have never heard any (believable) allegations about the guy assaulting a child. The American girl who was trying to make money from him was over the age of consent (in the UK) and should have been well aware of what was going on. She was employed as little more than an escort (to put it politely) and it seems to have paid well as she kept coming back for more. Perhaps her money was running out after all that time?
1
@Rob-zv1oz Regarding "Our freedoms are being slowly and slyly removed" - this seems too often be done by those who shout the loudest about our freedoms? Take a look at some of the people who have got into trouble for expressing their opinions of late?
1
@tomsherwood4650 It is beginning to look that way.
1
Have I died suddenly, no. Would I really care, to be quite honest, no as I will shortly have outlived my father and all my many uncles. Let's have a revolution just like they did in Russia, but wait, that went wrong pretty quickly.
1
More accurately, he has been saying what many people think they want to hear. A lot of politicians are particularly good at that and always have been. Just think of the democratically elected guy back in 1930s Germany.
1
@jonathanj.7344 People are starting to drift away from that but it will have little if any effect. What it could do is mean that all the BBC's assets get given away to some faceless member of the elite who will make a fortune from it. Perhaps people need to keep badgering the BBC to go back to how they used to be, mind you, as it is now run by accountants that is unlikely to happen as they stand to profit even more if it is sold off.
1
@mickg7299 He is just saying what people believe they want to hear. The truth is, many people will have to suffer initially if the world is to become a better place for all in the long term.
1
@jazura2 Two points there: Digital currency (ie cashless) will stop a lot of very dodgy businesses and the likes of the pikies getting rich as easily as they do now. As for 15 minute cities, most people have a totally incorrect idea of what they are about and to be honest it would be pretty difficult to turn many cities into one. That said, somewhere like Portsmouth was until relatively recently effectively one. When I first moved there 30 odd years ago, many of the people I worked with rarely left the city and more than a few thought it was a day out to visit the nearby town.
1
@jazura2 The end is nigh!
1
@patbuckley4039 It seems that you are all for the JSO lot and the animal rights nutters who vandalise supermarkets etc? They are standing up for what they see as their rights.
1
@Helios601 But he was a footballer and thus not one of the sharpest tools in the box (other than he knew he could make a lot of money from it).
