Most American food is pretty tasteless rubbish from my experience and some of the practices they use are very questionable to the point that the UK will not allow import of the meats.

So many events of all types are getting cancelled very often due to the cost of insurance for them, but also due to greedy people thinking they can make more money from them.
25
Older cars don't need road tax or MOTs and you can actually service them and mend them yourselves.
9
To a Brit, stuffing meat in your car has a whole different meaning!
9
Typical socialist country?

Home schooling is fine if the parents are capable of doing a good job. Sadly, looking round, how many parents are even vaguely capable of educating children? They can't even bring them up to school age properly. The other thing is where they are being brought up by extremists of any type or where they fall off the system and into serious abuse and neglect.
7
Commercially caught fish are left to die of suffocation so being a pescatarian is not good,.
6
An awful lot of those limos are very dubious due to the way they are constructed. And anyway, they are a stupid American idea along with the proms themselves.
5
"Old car" to the entitled generations means anything over 4 or 5 years whereas to grown ups it means one with a carburetor and no electronics and maybe nearly as old as the owner.
5
My "sausage" might be as big as one but it isn't green, lol.
3
The Americans have what they call unexpected acceleration events in all sorts of cars. What it usually means is that they cannot drive properly in the first place.
3
@GhostOfKiev2023 The settlers in America, ie asylum seekers and economic migrants were about the worst for genocide.
3
@whycantwegetalong4465 All "isms" are prone to failure, despite how honourable and worthy their initial intention is due to the same thing, good old human nature and greed.
3
@orionbetelgeuse1937 My step son wasted away when he was forced to go vegan by his hippy yippy Asian wife. He looked really unwell. She then realised that they (baby as well) were needing so many supplements to stay healthy and that those supplements were often produced by some dodgy companies from equally dodgy stuff and it was costing a fortune.
3
I wonder who the Freemasons were in all this.

My stepson had his oldish van broken into a few years back and to disable the alarm they trashed the electrics. He got it sorted (so he thought) enough to start and drive to his next job, but blasting down the outside lane of a very busy motorway it decided to do an emergency stop - it seems that the ABS system had been messed up. He made the morning local news due to the chaos it caused but very luckily no one got hurt.
2
These days? It has been referred to as London by the sea for years and that says it all!
2
You have to remember that people don't like to be told what to do anymore, even if it is for your own good.
2
@stevensarson482 The problem is, if anyone told the kids to be careful these days the parents would be up in arms claiming "they" are trying to brainwash the kids or saying it was some kind of discrimination. The entitled generations have brought most of the problems that we grown ups have to suffer on themselves. From the traffic nightmare caused by the school run (how can you expect little 13 yo Chelsea to walk 1/2 a mile to school when we have mortgaged ourselves to the hilt to but a new SUV?) to the need for stricter speed limits.
2
@BraveNewUs Do you really think most drivers are that pathetic that they get stressed over something like that? If they do, then the human race is doomed.
2
@scaryfakevirus Touchy! As I indicated elsewhere today's generations would see sensible instruction on road safety (or any other type of safety for that matter) as an intrusion on their "rights". Tell a driver not to use his mobile while driving and you are likely to get a mouthful of abuse. Suggest that a BMW driver uses his indicators and you would probably end up in court for a hate crime.
2
Yes, France is a pretty good place, two holidays over there planned on the boat this year.
2
This all sounds like a marketing ploy for a company restoring pre-electronic era cars! Give me back my Morris Minor!
2
You do all realise that you already pay to use roads , both to the government in tax and the big petroleum companies when you buy fuel. If we all changed to using more economic cars where appropriate things would soon change.
2
Why buy a modern car then with all the issues that go with them?
2
@G58 Those were the last real SAABs and go on just about for ever.
2
@dungareesareforfools I guess I never do journeys long enough to get through a decent CD with only me in the car. That or I hook my phone up to the car system and it plays tracks from the phone memory (that is a lot of music! ). Did you ever drive in the days of the cassette or 8 track?
2
@danisaac Too many people have or nearly have accidents because they don't bother to clear their screens already.
2
Most modern cars have air con so you just set the temperature you like and forget about it. Mind you, I will try to avoid a car with a touch screen as long as I can.
2
@MeTube3 The issue with electronics in cars versus older systems is that the electronics work or fail completely and can only be fixed by changing parts. Older systems fail progressively and if properly maintained will never let you down completely without warning.
2
@sambrooks7862 Yes, it is used in various place names in the UK and I suspect it is from the old English or similar.
2
@jamescastle5096 I regularly hunt for meat in the UK in the form of deer management as it tends to be called these days although weather, and sailing plus a couple of other things have interfered with that recently.
2
@gregjenkins2925 Hahaha. If it was a Range Rover I bet it has never even driven over grass!
2
@B.a.S.t.A.r.D. I had a Mk2 in bright green. It was the biggest pile of rubbish I ever owned and only my second Ford. First was a 2 year old Cortina that got through 2 cans and a clutch in the few years I owned it (amongst other trouble) and it rotted out in around 5 years. All the Citroens I have owned since have been super reliable and cheap to run with readily available service parts.
2
@B.a.S.t.A.r.D. I am on my 2nd C1 and it is about the most fun car I have ever owned. Ever seen the endurance racing they do in them?
2
@robertjames4908 Great for removing ear wax and poking in peoples faces when attacked.
2
@laserflexr6321 Sounds like you are trying to use common sense and rational arguments against someone who has neither common sense or is rational.
2
@GhostOfKiev2023 Yep, that sums up the genocide committed by the former Europeans who became the new Americans. I would quite like to know what things were like for the "natives" prior to independence.
2
@barrydevonshire9749 How do you avoid excessively processed foods when you are vegan? The soya products and fake "dairy" products are particular examples.
2
@barrydevonshire9749 Two big issues, firstly there are too many people on this planet. Second issue is the vast amount of land that is unsuitable for arable farming for one reason or another but can sustain grazing which converts inedible vegetation into good healthy protein with little processing.
2
@GhostOfKiev2023 You summed up the way that the genocide was carried out subtly very well there, few realise it was very deliberate.
2
Saint Awful, as a friend called it.
2
They didn't contact me on my tablet or my phone so I am seriously disappointed.
1
@abarratt8869 All three of my mobile devices were a serious disappointment as I got nothing.
1
@anthonynewman4039 Are MG anything to do with Rover these days?
1
@davemonday5381 It would be very hard for you to use that on yourself when things get too awkward for you to handle though.
1
Would you support the animal rights nutters who think that eating meat is immoral and commit all sorts of crimes and issue vile threats against normal people- just saying.
1
@johnchin1456 I presume you mean for the little scum bag junkie and his money grabbing mum who are the actual criminals in the case, unless of course you are a Sun reader (spot the irony there) in which case things must be getting so bad for you that the rope is for yourself.
1
@steventhoseby Climb inside with some of your INCEL mates and make the world a nicer place.
1
If you are that upset by something that doesn't affect you, I would suggest you seek counselling rather than hang yourself.
