One of the most amusing tales I heard along these lines was from a friend of my other half. Back in the fairly early days of the PC he did a lot of programming work from home but knew his activity was being monitored to make sure he was doing what he was paid to do. He simply wrote a programme to make it look like he was working.

Sadly one of the reasons they got in was the Reform & other right-ish parties which is exactly what I thought would happen (I would have betted on it even). Sadly, I do not know the solution but hopefully the next election will se the Tories try to do what the people want and not what they think we want.

Make sure your first blow is effective then you are not using excessive force.
14
@bobikdylan He will leave with a ragged prison wallet.
10
Sue the parents of the two kids for everything they have!
9
@maureenguthrie7537 Quite likely in theory but they will probably have the latest trainers, mobiles and giant TVs. Genuine poor families are actually quite often reasonably well behaved (I came from one!)
7
And it is free although the cost must be enormous.
6
@carolynpantlin7626 Sue the owners of the academy as they make a lot of money from the council.
6
Would it not be possible to prove it was not you because there would be no calls from your address or near location?
6
@thomasandrewmcgonigal5150 I her parents had been responsible she would never have ended up in the situation in the first place.
5
Tools are useful, he certainly is not.
5
He is also the guy who said wind turbines were fitted with diesel engines for when it wasn't windy enough!
5
@halley4032 It is illegal to treat people differently because they are disabled in any way among many other things.
4
@johnmuller5342 Ever thought she might have been having lady problems? That has been used as a get out of jail card by women for murder before now!
4
You can always tell when management are lying, they use expressions like "in all honesty"
4
I would have been tempted to cause the agonising death of his dogs "by mistake" but I guess you are a dog lover so would not consider that appropriate.
4
Is not public opinion actually democracy?
4
@sadtranz4451 And what planet are you from? I can almost guess the country of origin of your car and that you are often DUI.
4
@chriswest6090 What if the girl had caused serious harm to an innocent person and the police had just talked to her nicely?
3
@fenrifegads5571 She was a young woman and they can be very touchy at certain times. Maybe they should not be in the police?
3
@peterwillson1355 Simple answer, money. Too many accountants running too many businesses these days. Even many of the problems with the BBC these days are down to the way they think.
3
I think it is beyond negligence, more like complicity!
3
@equitime77 That is true and if that is the case go for the bully / trouble maker's parents.
3
@Interdiction Selection of juries works both ways, sometimes for the crown but often for the criminal. If only there was a way of making sure any jurors were sensible and decent it would be a start.
3
😅Would you have said the same about Rolf or Jimmy?
3
@DrSpooglemon Quite amusing when you consider Tik Tok is supposedly Chinese?
3
Why were you filming as it was none of your business?
3
@markabrahams2191 Simple proof would be a photo of one of the units or videos of fuel being delivered. How about exhaust smoke or staining from the exhaust? What about work colleagues who previously worked in the industry who knew an awful lot about the workings and would have been particularly interested in these engines had they existed. One of the prime reasons this form of wind turbine is used is the low wind velocity required to start them in comparison to other types that might be more efficient at higher wind speeds. How do you think the old fashioned windmills used to work?
3
@sobeit1927 Show me some proof that they are or even why they might be needed?
3
@A2Z1Two3 My 12 ton sailing yacht will start moving in around 8 knots of wind coming at 45 degrees from the front. In those conditions it will do about 6 knots easily when I have the sails trimmed properly. It takes around 40 BHP for the engine to do the same. Cloth sails are much less efficient than modern turbine blades.
3
@sadtranz4451 When I looked earlier you suggested that I might be a lefty snowflake or something so I thought I would clarify the situation. Your original remarks about "draconian laws " made me think you thought being DUI was fine. I have no problem with people sleeping in their cars ( or doing anything else in them for that matter) but there are times and places where it might not be appropriate.
3
@paulwright8378 Please grow up and not compare a situation like this with such an awful yet extremely rare incident.
3
@handsomejack5787 But does it make it good or right? When I was that age a kid like her would have got a thick ear from the local copper and the same from mum or dad when she was dragged home by the ear.
2
@ethelmini There n maybe those people should not be riding pushbike two abreast?
2
In France they have a totally different view on knives. You can see all sorts on sale openly that would be totally illegal to own in the UK. The famous company Opinel even make a "my first knife" aimed at quite young kids with the picture on the box showing a couple of lads around 10 or 11 whittling sticks.
2
@stephenwabaxter They also need to be respected so it works both ways.
2
I was under the impression it was building societies doing this. Banks are normally far too greedy to care who or where the money comes from, hence the need for laws to try and control money laundering.
2
@AtoZbyLocalBus I was really just playing a bit of a devil's advocate, but we are only hearing one side of both of these cases. The building societies (which I believe they were, rather than banks) obviously did what they did for a reason and companies rarely do things like that without considering the implications. Decisions are normally made based on known customer base and how publicity of different types may effect them.
2
This is what the tuber Donut Operator calls a "Sovereign Citizen " and he has loads of videos covering them that get really hilarious.
2
@cologne2792 Try "I am seriously paranoid, please excuse me "
2
The most common scams rely on the greed of some people who think that something for nothing is actually possible and que for free lunches.
2
@keithterry2169 And it is advised for your safety and that of others.
2
Who remembers when there were no such things as mobile phones? How on earth did we manage in those days?
2
You would love to think that the test for reasonable force would be what a "jury of your peers" would consider to be reasonable. Sadly with the weasel words of lawyers etc and knowing the bias of some juries that is not going to work well.
2
@stuartfountain9929 You should almost not be allowed to be a copper if you have a degree as they seem to sap any common sense out of people.
2
@stuartfountain9929 Does anyone do degrees that might lead to a productive career these days? Mind you even some of those with degrees that should be useful lack what it takes to make good use of them.
2
@@warpedwoz Add to that many seem to have made up no productive jobs!
2
@michaeldunham3385 All the problems come from trying to run a service like a money making business and/or trying to make it fail so the Tories can sell it all off to their mates for a song who will then sell it on for a huge profit.
2
@ForkCandle123 But would it not have been wise to check first, just in case?
2
@ForkCandle123 Why do you think the case lasted 10 months (other than that is how lawyers make their money)?
