The problem is the old one of any publicity is good publicity and that is exactly what the likes of Brand love. I recall he was one of the many who ripped into Mr Edwards who had not actually committed any crime nor had he actually been accused of doing so. In fact, it seemed that he was actually the victim in many ways.

@paulhodgers Remove the right hand and no disability benefits?
1
@waynegoldpig2220 But he does have some total idiots in his videos!
1
@MikeHarrison3266 Who was that black guy in the US who got stroppy or the guy who tried to run over the copper? Your approach worked really well for them. Because I drive safely and sensibly I have only ever twice been stopped by the police in 45 years. First time was because one of my brake lights was not working (got told to get it sorted) and once because of how I drove into a private road. A polite explanation of the situation and all was well.

I feel sorry for some young lads these days knowing that significantly underage girls are getting into 18 plus night clubs. Who is going to ask a girl you have just chatted up for proof of her age?
1
It is rather telling that some very young kids ax

Actually do the right thing instinctively
1
The problem is, we in the UK are gradually becoming more and more like these stupid Americans when it comes to being upset and suing people.
1
Very sadly there are far too many people these days who would play on so called vulnerability. Whether it is feral chavs who behave badly in class or the likes of Chris Packham who tells blatant lies and hides behind his so called autism (a condition that cannot be purely scientifically diagnosed). What if Saville or Harris had claimed to be autistic and that was the reason they did what they were accused of.
1
@juliaw7533 True, but it seems gen z needs to be told or they do really stupid things!
1
There is an issue with publicising the identity of armed officers in that is can make their family members vulnerable to criminals.
1
Hand guns in waist bands or inside pockets?
1
@shookoneldn300 It is not easy to make up crimes to convict the truly innocent. Yes, you might be accused of a crime but be innocent of it but that is what courts decide. Without doubt some cops overstep the mark but in90+% of cases it is much safer to comply and seek redress later and there are plenty of solicitors who would be willing to help you.
1
@shookoneldn300 When you dig deeper into the story of people who hate the police you often find that they are not the loving innocent people they would like you to think they are. I have been stopped by the police very few times in my life despite nearly always having driven old bangers. Every time there was a good reason for it, almost down to the time that I virtually baited them by driving onto a private road where I had very good reason to be. I was very polite to them and pointed out that the road was private and normal driving rules don't apply legally.
1
@shookoneldn300 The officers had good grounds to search if there was a genuine smell of cannabis and if the lads were totally innocent and cooperated there would be no problem. Round here the cops must have no sense of smell as it is everywhere and they don't seem to do much about it. I suspect many are actually afraid of being accused of bias and getting into trouble.
1
Is it not the BMW or Audi that always has right of way.
1
Ask the guy who got shot in the police station what his opinions are on that one.
1
@mypointofview1111 Managers across all industries these days are only bean counters and very few if any come close to actually managing anything. I have worked for managers way back who trusted and supported their people and actually knew what they did and why. This no longer seems to be the case with degrees in some old rubbish being the main criteria for being a manager. They still take the big salaries though!
1
@BadDriversOz but both their shoulders slope down and are heavily greased with Masonic lubricant.
1
It is quite easy to say that but I have seen videos where the "auditor" is deliberately provoking the police for their own ego and to make money from You Tube viewers.
1
@Mr_Burke No, they are just being total a holes a lot of the time.
1
@joes6088 You sum up the whole thing really well there!
1
@zeb3144 It is total idiots like you who get get laws introduced that have a negative impact on ordinary, decent people. Many of these so called auditors must be on benefits as they don't seem too have proper jobs. Worst still, a good few are not native to the UK with some originating from countries linked to terrorist acts against our country.
1
@alangordon1677 The problem is many of these auditors very deliberately provoke the officers and can be very offensive with what they say. The only thing they will achieve is more laws that affect decent, ordinary people.
1
He has been known to threaten people by saying "Do you want to die" in a manner that you would assume to be a threat to life. The use of force would be fully justified and due to the high likelihood of him having a knife due to his age and ethnicity lethal force would be appropriate.
1
Had one of the officers been armed and popped the guy, just imagine the outcry!
1
What really bugs me about cyclists is that they are allowed to carry out racing on a public highway yet cars are not. It would not be so bad if they didn't hold up traffic by riding several abreast.
1
@mikewade777 Why can't they if it is in a controlled situation? I guess being a cyclist in your tight fitting lycra, you are entitled to do what you like?
1
The worry I have with armed police is that they could be very vulnerable to being hijacked, killed and have their weaponcompetitively
1
Something went very wrong there.
1
I was trying to say have their weapons stolen and then relating to my experience regarding competition shooting against armed police and the lack of competence among many of them.
1
@georgehetty7857 Some of them are, just like many people who wind them up deliberately.
1
In the US, a great many officers get killed by their own weapons following up close and personal interactions.
1
I wonder if the car driver was connected with the police in some way or was just an ordinary Freemason?
1
@ForkCandle123 A 10 month court case suggests a fair bit of evidence!
1
@ForkCandle123 Are you an NHS manager by chance?
1
@ForkCandle123 Basically it is none of anybody's business other than those who were directly involved. It sounds like either you love to stick your nose in or much worse still, you are one of the NHS managers or close to one.
1
@ForkCandle123 I just had a thought about why you may have the views you seem to express - could it be you are in favour of euthanasia / eliminating the sick and weak from society?
1
@ForkCandle123 The problem is neither of us have any hard evidence either way and unless there is a formal enquiry of some kind we never will have. All I can do is point out that the trial took so long due to the need to cross examine the evidence available and although as you point out, juries can easily be swayed by crooked lawyers, the fact that the management (who are notoriously protected by the corruption of the Free Masons) have been implicated makes me think justice has most likely been done. It certainly would not be the first time someone has used there position for some bizarre purposes.
1
What about all of those dodgy types that have two or three burner phones that their wives or hobbies don't know about?
1
The term locker room is a horrible Americanism and part of the bigger problem in the UK.
1
How about concentrating on driving when you are behind the wheel?
1
@womble321 You sound like a total entitled jerk, please walk away if you are offended.
1
@nikitaw1982 I think you spell like a soccer fan (ie an uneducated moron)
1
Sounds like double speak from 1984, same as "Smart motorway "
1
@willowtree9291 Every toilet cleaner is more deserving than the brainless farts who kick a ball round on a Saturday afternoon!
1
@jamieeames8934 No doubt the teams on both sides of the case deliberately made things worse to prolong the trial. When you hear how long the trials of people caught red handed last you realise how bad things are.
1
@jamieeames8934 not sure what you are on about ref the pupillage?
1
I used to work with someone who was proud of stealing from supermarkets but he was from Croydon. Hope he gets caught before long.
1
That all sounds good, but someone like Brand could end up making lots of money due to the publicity from this case, specially given his self confessed former lifestyle.
