Not probably but certainly. However, having to pass on costs theoretically makes the fined company less competitive. Theoretically because a free market would need to exist for this to have effect, but the governments (in collusion with big companies) are doing their best to eliminate it.

Ok so after Amazon is fucked, you will be buying from?... AliExpress?..

When you buy Apple products, you get exactly what you deserve.

It's rather simple to explain - the EU views itself as a major competitor to all these spying companies. The crooked EU politicians want to be the only ones spying on you and making profits of you, and they use any means available to them to milk the companies if they can, under pretense of caring about citizens.

The main problem with these companies, big and small, is that they don't understand basic human concepts like decency and trust. Anyhow it's a natural selection of sorts, the sucky companies that betray their customers eventually dying out.

I hope Reddit the company sues their moron CEO personally for damages that he caused.

Well tbh I do not want your anyonmous drone filming me nude in my pool without my permission or me knowing who the fuck is flying around. Drones are tools that can and do violate privacy of other people. Also your drone may be on your own propety, but zoom camera lens you can easily peek into my pool/bedroom window.

NO. As long as the fine corresponds to the offense, there is no need to consider how rich or poor the offender is. Otherwise the effect will be just destruction of wealth and discouraging anyone to make any effort (aka communism).

NO. A fine/punishment should always correspond to the severity of the crime / damage caused by it, not depend on who committed the crime. Otherwise what you are doing is applying different laws to different individuals (or companies as may be). This is gross injustice (aka "rule of the mob").

Main source of income: corruption.

@StephenMcGregor1986 Trump is stupid, but not that stupid. It's going to work the same as Russian sanctions - a designated circle of smuggling friends is going to get very, very rich from these "trade wars". That may be actually the whole purpose of creating them. Pure corruption and power abuse - because he can.

As for the lack of cryptography / spoofing protection, wonder no more, their plan is of course to add it later. This is how you pass these laws, piecewise.

This is what happens when you no longer own your car, but are only permitted to drive it. Draw your own conclusions and make your purchases accordingly.

Nothing has changed for me with AdGuard AdBlocker. Maybe they don't try blocking adblockers on the desktop? Or is it Linux + desktop (if so, that would be great incentive to uninstall Windows while you are installing your ad blocker)?

Buuutt it is oh so convenient to be an idiot who is "serviced".
