Privacy is a human right. That's why I think politicians shouldn't have any.

C: write once, compile everywhere. Java: write once, run everywhere. Perl: write once, read never.

Loki, Grafana, Tempo and Prometheus sounds like the perfect stack for my $5 hobby project VPS!

Personally I think the constant release of "groundbreaking solutions" is more of a testament to the sea of self-inflicted problems in web development.

Normal people: "Sample To-Do app" Fireship: "Tinder for horses"

I should start monetizing all my "I told you so" predictions. This seems fun.

Or P# to make it clear it's a whole new, legally distinct language.

Please write about it somewhere! That sounds like hell to debug. Congratulations!

There's no way bad actors will just fake these content signatures. There's also no way massive intrusive surveillance could backfire. It never happens. Please, I need to keep my social score for grocery privileges.

No Kim Dotcom? There's a few others as well that could make a part 2, like Aaron Swartz is still serving life in heaven

The internet had peaked around those times. It's been downhill ever since.
60
Was thinking the same thing.

The power level of fireship is off the charts. Guy knows his stuff.
48
There is also /opt which software can use to /opt out of the correct file system structure.
37
That's also a good reason to use Godot in general. Don't underestimate the joy of lightweight and its effect on productivity.
22
@ghosthunter0950 the problem is career politicians, like those who were getting huge paychecks from the USAID money laundering racket.

✅ Open source AI ✅ Open weights AI ✅ Locally runnable AI ❌ Apple, Google and Microsoft

I think most "affordable" household robots will be a Roomba with a bigger arm (tall enough to use a sink or something). Though I'd love it if humanoid ones are affordable.

He's unironically so open about all he's doing that conspiracy theories are just spoiler alerts.
16
Well, definitely funnier that the "why scientists don't trust atoms" one they love so much.
12
Watching on ReVanced 😂👍

@somerandy3062 if you're arguing we wouldn't have human rights without politicians, my condolences.

"We live in interesting times" >Orwellian dystopia footage Checks out.

Yep he was raided too, in a very public manner

I was just looking for a library that says hi to my mom, thanks. Doing it manually was clogging up my main thread. Please also cover how to integrate it with TTS and VoIP!

Freedom > safety. Make them all write the "sticks and stones" quote 100x on a blackboard like Bart Simpson.

This makes sense, seeing as Anaconda's speed when "solving environment" was inspired by Windows Update (and possibly Greenpeace).
7
@Chillerll I think he would have hated it with a passion. Would have been fun to hear a rant.
7
Private and secure browser that needs an account to use, sends your data to Google servers and doesn't even secure that properly.
6
You realize WebGPU doesn't run in the cloud, right? And that cloud gaming is mostly an alternative for people with no GPU?
6
I heard R is pain. Is that true?
5
It's still compiling.

Coolest webs: 🥉 The web 🥈 James Webb telescope 🥇 Gary Webb

Hey, this video is great. You could do a similar one on CSS Pre-processors such as Stylus, Less, Sass, Pleeease, PostCSS, etc.
5
I just hope it becomes an uncensored, 4-bit quantized model soon so I can compare it with WizardLM or Vicuna (both have 30B versions you can run under 24GB of VRAM).
5
Did Fireship make a video on those new (and/or less used) Javascript features like logical assignment? I missed that one being introduced.
4
Am I the only one that really appreciates the embedded database? I hope that feature stays, it's the reason I'm going to try it for a small pet project.

"Beep Boop Hello Fellow Humans"

Man I miss the early days of Web 2.0 where every API was as open as possible and everything could improve everything else. We need openness back.

You will live to see man-made waifus beyond your comprehension. - Nikola Tesla

MindsDB is the most interesting one but that Planetscale free tier is almost too good to be true... Makes me wanna do something with it.
4
I think Godot is on track to becoming the Blender of game engines.
3
Sweet, we'll have an inferior ChatGPT that send Google all our most personal data 🥳 I'm sure it will have cool new censor guardrails and moderation filters 😎
3
That monitor John Carmack is using at 1:37 is an early 90s 1080p monitor. I think that was 20fps too back then, for just text 😂
3
I'm also annoyed Microsoft might ruin Mistral. AI should be open. If regulations ever affect the space, I hope they force openness as opposed to centralized profit.
3
@kornflakesjunkie AI safety is not the innovation people want. No user wants AI to better tell him "no". This is why DeepSeek is so beloved, it's open.
3
I'm not going to advocate for FaunaDB because for me it's self-host or bust, but whatever zero income project you're doing either doesn't need a big scalable DB or it provided enough value to people that you could have, I dunno, a Patreon/SubscribeStar/etc, or at worse ads.

The anti-white hatred at Google was pretty apparent for all to see. I assume they'll roll it back to a more subtle level so it's not too obvious.
2
Hey, you're awesome! Love the idea and name/logo.
