@bryd16 will "have" to be regulated? Says who? As long as people can own computers, they won't put up with that.
2
Tauri sounds REALLY cool because Electron is almost as sluggish as WPF/XAML.
2
You'd think most of what programmers do on the daily is reverse linked lists or something.
2
>take something people like for some time >add your own, unpopular, spin to it >keep the exact same original name Games, movies, software...
2
"To skip the ad, think about drinking Coca-Cola™️"
2
I think it's safe to say more lines of Javascript or Python will be written this month than there will be lines of COBOL for the duration of its existence.
2
One of the US candidates promised to get Elon to do audit some of the US government, I hope that candidate wins.
2
@edumazieri a household robot is the perfect use case for humanoid robots, since everything in a house is made for humanoid shapes; we have stairs instead of ramps for example.
2
This really explained it for me. I was what you portrayed at the beginning of the video 🙃
2
I think the ideal chat moderation system will some day exist, but it sure isn't there yet. One side would censor everything, the other would 4chan it.
2
...Some day, we won't ask, "Why is there stock footage of businessmen fighting in a field with farming tools?", we'll just assume it's AI. And be wrong.
2
Do you know of any GIS code that can help me geolocate my sides?
2
I understand there is a cost associated with upgrading all the world's COBOL mainframes, but the fact that they could probably all run on a single Raspberry Pi Zero underclocked to run on a 0.5A charger and still have performance left, makes it feel warranted.
2
I'm sure their engineers actively use it. Google claimed some % of their code was AI generated for example, and they probably are being dogfed Gemini, the poor man's LLM.
2
It's tragic how I can only like this video once.
1
Serverless makes a lot of sense until you realize "a billion requests per month" isn't that many and those cents/1k requests add up.
1
Plus, if you learn it, you can be the only available candidate for dozens of jobs worldwide!
1
Those "hackers" glow with a thousand Sieverts of federal particles.
1
This is actually really interesting. How rough around the edges is it?
1
Drama aside, is it really that many websites using WordPress? Dang. I thought website builders like Wix or Squarespace ate their lunch.
1
Wait. The black guy meme was from a McDonald's commercial? I never seen it in full.
1
Isn't this against the whole concept of separating style and content? Like, there used to be a <center> tag, and we don't do that anymore for a reason.
1
To be clear you need two 24GB cards. ....To run the 70B one, at q4 quantization! 🙃 For the 405B... Sheesh. And imagine finetuning the damn thing!
1
Get a dog, go on daily walks (even if short!) move yourself, eat less sugars and seed oils. None of that sounds like a depression cure but it is.
1
Meanwhile McMaster Carr making the most responsive website ever with Yahoo's web framework from 2008 and jQuery.
1
@troyt4969 that sounds good!
1
That code rocket will have deep market penetration.
1
I kinda want that crazy map to be real just because of how cool it would be.
1
>Mental Outlaw Yep, you're based.
1
My brain made laptop fan noises just by looking at this video, how do you even know so much about so many topics?
1
Now that I've seen this, I hope you make a similar video about a concept I don't know! I hope it becomes a series.
1
Smh... Deadlocks are not a race condition, they're just a hairstyle...
1
It's amazing how many cool open AI research has been done by Facebook as a byproduct of burning money for the failed metaverse.
1
@bigfudge3223 I think he refers to the fact Hitler's army had black people, asians, even jews. The hollywood version is ironically whitewashed.
1
This is very much the "Unix way" - do one thing and do it right. TAR exists because tapes could only handle a stream of bits, and gzip only compresses a single file because archiving is tar's job.
1
10k hours and "it's ok I guess" sounds strange or ironic for a game, but certainly not for Windows.
1
How does a minimalist-looking IDE require entire gigabytes of RAM?
1
Could you imagine Docker being as widespread without the Rube Goldberg contraption that is Python? You basically need to ship a custom computer with each Python project.
1
There was also some drama that caused a fork called avconv was (is?) a drop-in replacement in Ubuntu. I love ffmpeg, I use it so much!
1
Zucc has really gone on a redemption arc with all the open sourcing, but he still needs a bit more grass-touching and data collection.
1
Intel's biggest threat isn't the 7950x, or even 9950x, it's their own management.
1
To think Elon was worried if a company could catch up to Google AI wise and now Google isn't even the Pepsi of AI.
1
I want this but local AI. Not for privacy, just cause it's a lot cheaper lol
1
1:27 is that a vtuber logo or what
1
@XxZeldaxXXxLinkxX yes I am. I believe a proper solution for small stuff is Netdata, someone might wanna correct me if I'm wrong.
1
Can you use whatever other model with an OpenAI-compatible API? Like using Oobabooga's text generation webui or Kobold?
1
Illustrator is Inkscape, not Krita. Also while Blender is a Swiss army knife, its least good aspect is the video editor, so maybe stick to DaVinci Resolve for that.
1
Was the shadman-looking shading on the avatar intentional or accidental? 😂
1
I was honestly disappointed, this is just CoT and the CoT paper is from Jan 2022... That's like 2 decades ago in AI time.
1
As someone that used Avisynth a lot, this is very cool!
