  23. This is such nonsense. The judge kept talking about "the seriousness of this" talks about the legislature setting the guidelines, because of the seriousness of this. The judge even states "the people have spoken” then ignores what the guidelines say. Then gives only 9 months in prison. This person committed this crime while small children were in the house, who knows what they saw or heard. The children are forever traumatized by this, especially the one who found the poor dog. Why was this person not charged with child neglect/endangerment and so on? 5.5 years would not be enough. And the” I can’t remember” excuses is lame, they all say that when caught
