It's even worse than that- How's it gonna be, fucked in the ass, or fucked in the face?

There's one law that nature obeys that man breaks every day. This is a law that's evolved over millions of years... Nothing in nature takes more than it needs. And when something does, it becomes subject to this law and it dies off. An ocean, a rain forest are co-operatives. A redwood tree doesn't take all the soil's nutrients, just what it needs to grow. A lion doesn't kill every gazelle, just one. There's a term for something in the body when it takes more than it's share. We call it cancer.

This lady is one of the most ill-prepared speakers to ever grace stage of TEDtalks. She actually believes that the audience chooses the programming. What a hoot. If the Nielsen ratings reflect our social conscience, it's because someone higher up on the food chain made it that way. I mean, for heavens sake, she thinks "power" is one of the primal instincts. Power? TV is just a drug, that's why we watch it. The programmers know this. You zone out, breath deepens, pupils dilate. Drug.

yeah, roughly 100,000 lives would have been saved.

Whoever we are, it sure as hell isn't the ego.

I enjoyed his presentation, but in my opinion, he has no evidence for the following conclusions: 1. That our anatomy developed to eat cooked food. 2. That raw food doesn't provide sufficient energy. 3. That cooking made it possible for our environment to develop us.

immensely interesting talk. It sounds as though there may by a conjunction between Charles Bonnett syndrome and mild psychedelic hallucinations, such as can be achieved with psilocybin. On mild doses in the 1-3 gram range, you can all the phenomenon that Oliver described (patterns, hexagons, circles, distorted faces, etc) I wondered how dreams happen. I've heard people say that dreams are day residue. But has anyone noticed that dreams are always in story mode. Who's writing the story?

We know how to go to mars, but we still don't know how to live in this planet. That's true poverty. -Sadghuru

Ignorant bliss. If you don't count the millions of animals that suffer from direct human abuse, animals in nature, for the most part, can co-exist in balance with nature and each other and they don't kill one another over petty differences.

I don't understand why people get sidetracked by the word "God." It's just a word. But let me ask you this, do you people believe in some kind of lifeforce in this universe that we don't fully understand?
1
@JeanKM1 Exactly, it's not money, it's the things that money can buy, or rather the things that money can't buy that makes you miserable. But that's ideology. Isn't it so interesting that we all have to pay for the two most important things that assures our survival: food and shelter? Think about it for a minute. We have to pay to survive. Yet another fucked up thing that sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom.

A nation of people with good math skills? Now, if that isn't a hazard to this country I don't know what is. What's going to happen when a nation of middle-class people who are mathematically adept figure out they're being financially screwed by the rich? Hahahaha. It's going to fuck up the economy. The economy that's fake anyway.

Other people do have minds, but we all share the same mind. The universe is a minded entity. All of us are reflections of the universe looking back on itself -IMO

Now everyone's going to have to buy three iPods. I bet jobs and this clown are working together.

Money doesn't lead to happiness. The best that we can all hope for is that these rich parasitic and psychopathic 1% don't make life extremely uncomfortable for the rest of us. Basically, take your billions, pick one corner of the Earth, and leave the rest of humanity alone.
