It can be wasting 100 grand. If you're not a US citizen u don't have to pay taxes on your world wide income once u leave your country. Said that I just don't see the value on carribbean passports for Europeans for example. If u don't need a passport to pay lower taxes and u just need it as a plan B or as a way to visit a certain country I would say there are better options like starting a company, opening a bank account, buying real estate, spending time in a certain country, etc
