EBITDA means earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization. That said it is the earnings before subtracting interest, tax, depreciation and amortization. So no, buying equipment does not affect your EBTIDA nor does reducing taxes. Instead buying equipment changes your EBIT, EBT and Net Income
