I'm sandwiched between being Gen X and being a millennial and I love our young people. I've liked Gen Zers ever since they pulled that Robin Hood stunt that ticked off billionaires.
441
Yet another reason I didn't vote for Trump in early voting.
382
JD Vance is a sellout. He saw an opportunity for power and he took it over having integrity. Shame!
227
Nobody is talking about it because the billionaire owned media outlets never tell us what the billionaires are up to. We rely on folks like Thom to keep us up to speed.
112
I wonder why we were never taught this theory in high school. Haha! Nah! I don't wonder. An ignorant consumer class is easier to control.
74
Deregulation is just a euphemism for decriminalization.
68
I hope Trump sinks in the polls soon. I'm worried for my country.
66
Will these professors be surprised when their class size shrinks because both men and women realize that they don't grade fairly?
63
So many Americans think billionaires are no threat to Democracy. We tolerate them too much.
52
If a Trump supporter had to choose between watching something intelligent like Nova on PBS or WWE wrestling, which show would most of these boneheads choose? We all know it's not the smart show. I rest my case.
51
Most of our social problems today can be traced back to billionaires being petty and selfish. It's time to raise their taxes.
49
Or maybe organized religion appeals to authoritarians who like simple binary answers to nuanced questions.
44
As usual. Nobody wants to wake up and blame the billionaire-owned media for sowing these divisions and distractions.
43
Is this so that people can't say anything that hurts the fragile feelings of our dumbest, most inept politicians or the rich people they pander to? I'll say whatever I want.
39
Any society that trusts corporations more than scientists gets what it deserves. I know that sounds harsh but it's the truth.
37
People are done with democracy because most voters vote against their own economic interests. Most people don't understand the dangers of billionaires and monopolies.
36
I hate the leaders but I despise their sheep.
33
The French haven't forgotten what kinds of people the rich are. Americans, unfortunately, have.
33
Trump doesn't have an altruistic bone in his body. When dealing with Trump, the most relevant question is always: 'What will Trump gain by doing/saying this?'
31
What do Republicans have to say about this subject? I just hear crickets.
31
Somebody needs to retaliate against the police. I mean the punishing whole department. Not just the murderers.
29
We need really strict anti-monopoly laws. If a company becomes too rich and powerful and starts merging with other companies. It should be broken up into no less than 10,000 smaller companies. Let's see the giant corporation try to pick up that many pieces of its former self.
26
Let's hope the National Guard meets them first.
26
I hope not. I left religion for a reason. Supernatural claims written in ancient books belong in the mythology section at the library. I can't bring myself to believe that crap!
25
Just make Atlanta so liberal that the rural conservative counties in Georgia are disenfranchised.
24
DeSantis' abortion story begins with: 'Once upon a time...'
24
Most Americans can't get this through their skulls. If they could the polls wouldn't be this close. Educating the public about Project 2025 needs to be our top priority.
23
True. People think I'm exaggerating when I say we're becoming third world. When people want to move out of a crappy apartment and into a house but can't because home prices are ridiculous and increasing price of rent is holding them down and they're worried about becoming homeless if they try to buy anything that isn't a basic necessity, those are third world conditions. Unfortunately retired and soon to be retired people don't care much about the current deterioration of the middle class because they got what they wanted.
22
Zero would be my guess. I'm not optimistic.
19
Large businessmen love Libertarianism as it lifts all the laws and regulations that keep them in check.
18
And laid people off at Twitter after buying it. The irony of Republicans calling him a job creator.
18
I hate the human species so much knowing how easily people fall for stupid nonsense.
18
I can imagine parents raising a stink about it. Especially deeply religious parents who don't want their kids thinking critically about the religion they want them to follow.
17
Joining forces? Now THAT's scary.
17
You can always eat your enemies. Cannibalism is an option but most people don't choose it even when they're starving.
17
Religion also alters how the brain works and turns people in fundamentalists and religious extremists. Lori Vallow Daybell is a good example of a religious extremist.
17
In this economy, you are either homeless or renting a room from a family member. The American Dream of owning a home is gone for one third of the population.
17
@practicaliching2311 Trickle down assumes that rich people aren't evil and won't use their money to build monopolies and buy back stocks in their companies.
16
The parental rights arguments are so stupid. Most parents are idiots even if they mean well.
16
If Jesus Christ was compassionate, wouldn't seeing compassion as a weakness require lots of hypocrisy and irony and the part of Christian conservatives who think it's a weakness??? That level of hypocrisy bugs the crap outta me! If I met a conservative who thought compassion was a weakness I'd come out and say it, "Are you saying Jesus Christ the compassionate was weak? Is that what you're saying? You think our Lord and Savior is a sissy? That's blasphemy!" Then I'd wait for their reply. I'm pretty sure there would be a long pause because they wouldn't even know what to say to that. That's kind of a gotcha reply to them.
14
Almost all transphobic people are regular churchgoers. Religion is at the root of this problem. 'Love thy neighbor' seems to be ignored by too many people who call themselves Christians.
14
"Hitler ran gun clubs! Hitler ran gun clubs!" Way to shoot down a delusion argument, Thom! Kudos! 👍
14
Psychopaths don't think that way.
13
He didn't pay them enough. He's too cheap.
12
The caller says exactly what I think. These stupid social issues and hot button issues are just a distraction for the most part. It's like a mugging where one mugger distracts you while the other mugger takes your wallet.
12
I personally hope Trump makes a pig noise and flaps his hands like a crazy guy! That's how I hope he'll react to being indicted. Then I hope he gets depressed enough to finally shut up. But I won't hold my breath. Getting Trump to be quiet is impossible.
11
@TheresaReichley Exactly. Plus tent cities don't have electricity. How are they gonna plug the fridge in?
11
Speaking of censorship, YouTube's algorithm just deleted my comment suggesting we start going harder against far right religious groups.
11
Unfortunately businesses are so greedy that the threat of litigation is the only thing keeping them from destroying everything. Sue the crap outta them, I say! Make them an example.
11
The man has failed upwards his entire life.
