  37.  @warling5042  If you don't understand that gullibility is a weakness and that might is right and weakness is bad you won't understand. I don't expect you to understand. Most people don't. Most people view gullible folks as victims rather than seeing them as the hapless idiots they are. It might have something to do with gullible people outnumbering skeptics and cynics. If you're a gullible person (as most people are to a degree) you'll see yourself in weak minded individuals and be more likey to empathize with them. If you're a skeptical person you're more likely to empathize with other skeptics. You'll probably be more empathetic towards people with critical thinking skills if you yourself have those skills. Why should we empathize with losers who easily fall prey to bad ideas and silly nonsense or who have emotional problems that allow them to be conned? Those people are the losers of society.

  39. Considering that this was the Dark Ages I just assume most of the people were probably innocent and wrongfully convicted. Then again I'm pretty cynical. I don't even trust our modern justice system.

  40.  @sterlingwilliamson1732  Nobody did this to us. We were overdue for a pandemic. We're not used to pandemics because our generation is weak and too young to remember previous global pandemics like the Spanish Flu. SARS almost became a global pandemic but we dodged that bullet.

  41.  @sterlingwilliamson1732  This pandemic is nothing new. I wish I could say that I was old enough to remember the Spanish Flu and the Polio Epidemic. Being that old would put things into perspective and make people who know nothing about the past think more rationally. Rather than believing foolish internet conspiracy theories they could say, "Well I survived the last global pandemic nearly a century ago. I will survive this one as long as I act wisely." With age comes wisdom. Usually.
