Labour 2019: 10.3 million votes. 32.4% vote share. Result. 220 seats and the leader resigns. Labour 2024: 9.6 million votes. 33.7% vote share. Result: 412 seats and a landslide victory. This voting system is absolutely absurd.

I think this guy hits the nail on the head and right through the wood. We desperately need to change the model here. If you like a content source or an online service go ahead and pay for it. Don’t hand over power to advertisers and manipulation engines that are basically smarter than we are! Nothing comes free and when you rely on ad-supported services you are basically selling out your own mind.

Great reporting. Guys like this are the worst kind of sociopaths. And our sick economic system rewards them handsomely. If we let this carry on, we are truly f-ed. Time to rebel against this broken system.

I don’t use Twitter or Facebook for these reasons,... but I am watching this on YouTube. I am getting some cognitive dissonance! Can not compute....

How a small, modest, social democratic country humiliates the most powerful country in the world. With a dozen words! 😂 Hilarious.
436
Rising inequality is strangling the economy. Tax the rich and spend the money on the people's priorities - healthcare, education, transport, homes and cheaper energy.
388
Solidarity with the workers, in the railways and across the whole economy. The solution to the cost of living crisis is lower profits and higher wages.
349
Those charity workers are heroes and angels. Amazing courage and humanity. 🙏🏻 But their work should not be necessary in a civilised society.
296
You can be sure that if independent journalists hasn't got into this, if the Tories had found all this out behind closed doors, they would have buried this corruption and dishonesty.
277
Omar combines passion and restraint in an extremely engaging way. Great talk.
242
Channel 4 on fire with this story. Top notch stuff. Well done. Has the BBC picked it up? Have they f**k 😡
231
Greenpeace really did a job on Exxon here. God bless 'em!
208
Greenpeace has really kicked Exxon in the nuts with this one 👍

3:26 "we have to work with our international allies" is politician-speak for "we have to do precisely as the US state department tells us". My god, the UK is so cucked to the US, it's revolting.
159
How weird. They keep giving straight answers to the questions. It's doing my head in... 🤪
134
@Objectivebeatz I see you don't understand what representative democracy is....
131
It's highly dishonest of Torsten to say inequality has not risen and only mention income inequality. What he is leaving out is that wealth inequality has shot up over the last few years. That means people have no assets to fall back on. They cannot afford a house so they have to rent one so a landlord siphons off 40% of their income. Etc And at a macro scale, the rich have also been acquiring assets that used to belong to the state. So now the state is in the same trap - renting assets and services from the private sector at inflated prices so the capitalist class can earn a rent. Meanwhile we get shtty services and terrible value for money.
130
They survived Hamas terrorists, but the IDF were even more violent and callous.
112
Dont cut their pay in real terms, don't cut the staff numbers and pile pressure on the people remaining. Then I daresay these guys will cancel their strike. I don't know why I'm supposed to be on the side of the bosses after higher profits while ordinary workers get screwed...
108
I wish there was 24/7 surveillance to catch millionaire tax cheats...
105
The unions are the only bulwark against the domination of the economy by the wealthy and corporations. If you want your fair share of the value that your work creates, join a union. Solidarity with the RMT ✊
104
C4 Interviews are so much better than the softball dross you get at the BBC and ITV. Krishnan knows his stuff and doesn't care if politicians don't like him. Good man 👍. You are exactly what we need!
102
This is what happens when the US military industrial complex and the US oil majors get concerned that Iraq is about to kick them out with Iranian prompting and support.
87
Not nearly enough people agree with you. He is a crypto fascist religious bigot who specialises in fear and hate mongering. Unfortunately too many people have fallen for his horrible rhetoric and cult of personality.
85
Cruel people enjoying a cruel pastime. It's time this whole thing was left in the history books.
79
💯 Solidarity with the nurses ✊ They saved us during COVID and they are the last line of defence between us and a private for-profit healthcare system.
76
Could be worse. They could have had a climate activist walking down the road trying to get governments to take action to stop this stuff getting much worse.
74
More excellent journalism from C4. No wonder the government wants to sell it off and destroy it.
72
McDonald is right. Go back and see the 10 points that Starmer promised members to get elected and you see he has gone back on pretty much every single one. Starmer is dishonest and has no vision for the country. That's why his ratings in the polls are so bad even while he chucks out all his supposed principles to win power. Starmer will never be PM because no one has any good reason to vote for him.
69
Boris makes models of buses out of wine crates. You learn something new (and unbelievably weird) every day.
67
Some pretty horrible framing of the questions from Krishnan here. He could ask the right questions but without the dishonest framing. The ambassador gave a tour de force all the same.
67
The oil industry is taking billions in subsidies every year. It's investors have been taking massive profits in the good times. And now they can't make profits they throw themselves on the mercy of taxpayers. It's absurd. Let them lose their shirts and restructure. If oil can't make money, it's not up to the taxpayers to keep the execs and shareholders in yachts and mansions. You want capitalism? Have it. All of it. If you want taxpayers help, then get ready to accept nationalisation.
63
Does you heart also go out to the mothers of children deliberately murdered by the IDF in the apartheid state of Israel? Those murders happen practically daily in the occupied territories.
62
Taking pleasure in persecuting and killing is the sign of a very sick and toxic personality. And yet these are the people our broken system has given all the money and power to. And we wonder why everything is f-ed for ordinary people.
61
@thiagov6123 Yes, colonial imperialism driven by capitalism. That's the one. And I can criticise it even if I happen to have benefited from it because it's objectively awful.
56
Solidarity to all striking workers demanding fair pay, secure jobs and good working conditions. The rich have had it their way for far too long! ✊ Of course, all the Tories can do is skew the rules to favour the rich against workers, yet again.
56
Gambit771 We would have zero leverage in any negotiations. We would be the only country on the planet with no trade deals at all. We would be completely desperate for a deal. If you haven't noticed, Trump is in the habit of screwing countries it ALREADY has trade deals with. See Mexico and Canada. And he unilaterally started a trade war with China. He is a total bully. He doesn't care about long term consequences or reputations damage. He just wants to screw everyone by shafting then now. And from our side, privatising the NHS by the back door has been the aim of the right wing of the Tory party for decades. And Farage for that matter. It's a free market fanatic's wet dream. US healthcare companies make trillions of dollars. They want a piece of that. Healthcare in the US costs double what it costs in the UK per head, the most expensive in the world. And yet they rank 36th in the world for standards and outcomes. That's not by accident. It's because the system is designed down to the smallest detail to screw patients and make money for providers and insurers. It's an evil system propped up by evil politicians and we should have nothing to do with it.
54
Yes, but really it's 40 years of neoliberal capitalism. And the Labour Party under Starmer, like Blair, won't really change much. Unless we fight for real change. That's why supporting striking workers is so vital. We have to show who's side we are on.
54
Labour should be dominating on this issue. They are the LABOUR party FFS. Instead Kier Starmer is running scared of Rupert Murdoch. He's a coward and a sell-out. 😡 Well done Sam Tarry ✊
54
The Tories core message is that we can't have nice things. While somehow the rich and big businesses get everything that they want every single time. 🤔
50
I run a business. High taxes are actually a good incentive to invest because you can avoid tax on those expenses. Tbh NI and rates are the biggest issue because you pay them whether you make a profit or not.
49
💯Solidarity with the RMT ✊
47
She is utterly shameless. She is holding a gun to the country's head and threatening MPs that she'll shoot. She is no better than a thug. She has lost the argument, she has lost the confidence of her party, of the House and of the country. She is governing solely for a faction within her party and a small minority of the country now and is throwing any semblance of responsible and democratic government to the wind. This will be remembered along with Appeasement, Suez, the Poll Tax and the calling of a referendum in the first place. Catastrophic misrule.
46
It's not a threat. It's PR.
45
Solidarity with the nurses ✊ Claps don't pay the rent or buy food and clothing. Pay them what they are asking. Of course the Tories want the system to collapse so they can sell it off.
45
3:48 "I'm a fanatical chutney maker." Like the painting cardboard busses comment. Johnson really is a pathological liar. I don't think he could stop even if he wanted to.
44
Where did they find this reporter? MSNBC? All the analysis is wrong. Bernie got more young voters than everyone else. Buttigieg has very poor support from young people and Buttigieg is not taking a single Bernie voter. He is taking Biden and Warren voters. This is moronic and misleading Do better C4 🤬
44
10:25 rather shot himself and his argument in the head here. First, 54% of votes in 2017 went to parties opposing no-deal Brexit so there absolutely IS a mandate for MPs to block. But worse than that. If 2017 was "a long time ago in the development of Brexit", somehow rendering the last election out of date, WTF does that say about a referendum in 2016 - a year EARLIER?!
44
@twistedcherrypop as per the comment above, you are delusional if you think he didn't. He was caught in 4K
43
0:33 Al Shifa - did the IDF ever find that giant command and control centre? Did they Fck!
