If there's no warrant, he doesn't have to give it up. I wouldn't, either, if they didn't have a warrant. Cops are not your friends; they'll get you on anything they can, whether it's related to the case or not, and you would be surprised at how many things are against the law that you don't know about. On an average day, an average American violates 3 federal laws just going about their lives.
1
I don't think you understand how lawsuits work.
1
@AngelicaLady He has a tape. A tapeworm.
1
His peers, real peers in the film industry, would exonerate him because he isn't legally liable. Laws regulating gun safety on movie sets are different from gun safety generally. Actors have NEVER been prosecuted in these cases, ever, because the legal burden is on the armorer, the gun safety expert on the set.
1
It's a lawsuit; defendants in a lawsuit have rights.
1
They don't have a warrant, so what law is he violating by not giving up his phone? Don't be a simp.
1
It's probably his double.
1
You can't shut down a virus. It was a stupid promise to make, and the people who believed it were just as stupid. The fatality rate to cases is now 0.0008 in my county. Stop the hysteria.
1
He can be president in prison, then. Trump 2024!
1
The cops don't have a warrant. No warrant, no phone.

@Nudertaker I hardly think that's true. According to the CDC statistics, 93% of covid deaths are in the over-50 age group. 3/4 of deaths are in the over 65 group. 1/2 of covid deaths are in the 85 and over group. Only 2% of covid deaths are in the 18-39 group, whether fat or not. I suspect that it has more to do with nutritional deficiencies; deficiencies in zinc and vitamin d don't show, but can kill you if you get covid because your immune system is crippled. I would bet money that most doctors aren't testing for that, nor are they giving patients these nutrients when they get sick. Interesting fun fact: the older you get, the less your body can process vitamin d from the sun, ditto if you're fat. If you're 75 and overweight, you need high-unit supplements to maintain a normal level. If you catch covid, your body uses up its store of zinc very quickly, which is probably why some people take a week to become really ill; there's no more zinc and they aren't supplementing.

What does the one thing have to do with the other?
1
It's been pretty obvious for a long time. Ask Trey Gowdy, who interrogated Lois Lerner about how she weaponised the IRS in order to swing the election. He said after the months-long dog and pony show that he never had any intention of bringing her, or anyone else involved, to justice, because they were his friends!
1
What rules? No warrant, no phone. I wouldn't give up my phone without a warrant, either.
1
It's more likely to ruin her. She has more crud in her past than G. Maxwell.
1
@Oldmanwithagoldpan Did you pull that out of your @ss? This is from the NIH: Treatment with RDV (remdesivere) was associated with lower mortality compared to BSC (best supportive care). From Remdesivir and Mortality in Patients with COVID-19 George A Diaz et al. Clin Infect Dis. 2021.
1
Ok, big shot, what did he lie about?

Not any more. NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT On December 31, 2011, President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), codifying indefinite military detention without charge or trial into law for the first time in American history. The NDAA’s dangerous detention provisions would authorize the president — and all future presidents — to order the military to pick up and indefinitely imprison people captured anywhere in the world, far from any battlefield. The breadth of the NDAA’s worldwide detention authority violates the Constitution and international law because it is not limited to people captured in an actual armed conflict, as required by the laws of war. Under the Bush administration, similar claims of worldwide detention authority were used to hold even a U.S. citizen captured on U.S. soil in military custody, and many in Congress assert that the NDAA should be used in the same way." Congress approves the extension every time it comes up for a vote.

cchh686 Because he was "convicted" of phony charges. The federal government said that what he did wasn't a crime. The actions cited by the state of New York were past the statute of limitations. When Hillary Clinton put the payment for the phony Steele dossier under legal advice, they merely fined her $8,000. No trial, no felony conviction.

Putin offered to negotiate yesterday and Ukraine refused. Madness.
1
Zelensky is a dictator; he canceled elections, outlawed the Eastern Orthodox Church, and nationalized all the media. And we know you didn't vote for Trump. Who do you think you're kidding?
1
The US has no room to talk. Remember when Madeleine Albright said that 500,000 children was acceptable collateral damage? When Obama's drone strikes killed wedding parties?
1
The example of an unfair justice system is that he was charged at all. Laws regulating gun safety on film sets are different from gun safety generally. Actors have NEVER been prosecuted in these cases, ever, because the legal burden is on the armorer, the gun safety expert on the set. No matter what you think about Baldwin, legally he was not at fault.
1
How do you live to be your age and not know how inflation works? Inflation destroys your savings and your buying power. I remember the Carter years. That was just a warm-up.
1
Malicious prosecution isn't legitimate.
1
Actually, they did.
1
That's probably just the tip of the iceberg.
1
@hanyolo382 The Democrats DID rig the 2020 election, then bragged about it in Time Magazine.
1
It's been proven that you can. If you had the jibby jabby, you already have.
1
Routh has a long rap sheet. Convicted of owning a fully automatic weapon without the proper clearance. Convicted of owning a weapon of mass destruction. Hit and run. On and on. So why was he running around loose? Who sold a multiple felon a rifle? He moved from Hawaii to North Carolina, but moved out of the apartment months ago. Where has he been since then?
1
Laws regulating gun safety on movie sets are different from gun safety generally. Actors have NEVER been prosecuted in these cases, ever, because the legal burden is on the armorer, the gun safety expert on the set. The New Mexico legal system never should have charged him in the first place. I think Baldwin is a terrible human being, but legally it wasn't on him.
1
It was all rehearsed. There's a full video.
1
In a lot of places in the US, burning wood is illegal unless you have one of the new generation wood stoves or fireplaces. The government even tried to make it illegal in Alaska. In fact, the government of Alaska is suing the EPA because it doesn't think that the EPA standards are strict enough!
1
No. Biden's visit was choreographed and rehearsed. There's a full video of it. He still wandered off beforehand because he doesn't even know where he's at. Trump spent more money; he bought something for everybody.
1
@KittenFarmProductions If you made a nuclear bomb and you lent it to someone, is it your fault if someone gets hurt?
1
DOGE is fixing that.
1
How can people not see that this isn't the same guy? Compare the amount of skin sag on Biden's face during the debate to the amount on the guy who's been doing the appearances since. You can't get rid of skin sag overnight.
1
So with all of the problems we face, THIS is what the Democrats focus on? 🤯
1
Save your energy. Putin offered to negotiate yesterday but Ukraine refused even to talk to him. There's something bad going on that we don't know about and it's on the Ukrainian side. The attacker wants to talk and you refuse? Madness.
1
@anncata7368 You wish.
1
You mean old people?
1
@EricCartman915 Trump is a states-rights man. I don't disagree with that; it's Constitutional. Outside of an attack on federal property, it's the state's job to control riots.
1
@myRefuge3710 No, he doesn't. He's been my senator my whole life. I've written to him about a number of topics, including the NDAA (the indefinite detention of American citizens on American soil without due process) and his promotion of frankenstein-foods (you know, where scientists graft animal and insect dna into crop plants in order to give them built-in pesticides). He absolutely doesn't care about our future. Not a bit. And it's ironic that he should point fingers at Putin cons that our Constitution means nothing to him.
1
It was all rehearsed. I saw the full video of the visit. Besides, everybody knows that Biden isn't running things. Look at him.
1
The answer should've been, "At least I have two brain cells to rub together."
1
Imagine if the assassination of an obscure duke had remained a local dispute and not exploded into WW1.
1
How many guns belonged to the FBI infiltrators who were agitating?
1
@timogul Because Biden shut down American oil production.
1
So you would rather have President Harris?
1
He wouldn't be making this speech if Trump weren't president.
