His story brought tears to this veteran's eyes.

I grew up in Los Angeles during the early space age and I saw this aircraft pass over many times. But we just called it the "Guppy". I never heard that "Pregnant" part.
19
Agreed.
15
Heartbreaking loss.
13
I served in the Army stationed at an isolated missile battery in West Germany in the Cold War.
8
A humble president. I forgot that is possible.
6
Wow. This guy is the opposite of Impeached Trump; he's successful and doesn't have an enormous ego.
3
I petitioned for switching to a Fez for my American Legion post. Now they don't send me emails.
3
Nobody can be as uneducated as you pretend to be.
3
Scary place. So much humanity… and nothing else. I have to connect with nature daily (mostly skunks) to survive.
3
Being an American Army Veteran feels really good.
3
US Army Military Police Corps.
3
I'm sure all American veterans appreciate your educational videos. I do.
3
Sorry. This is great. But SO many ads! Can't finish.

When we bought our house the entire outside was lawn. I immediately killed almost all of it and planted fruit trees and a vegetable garden. I enjoy mowing the small patch that's left, but I wish my wife would let me remove it too. It's for the dog who never uses it and it wastes water.

Very sad loss of brave men. You have provided additional details on this tragedy I'd never heard about before. Thank you.

504th MP

What a beautiful ship painting!
2
My daughter in law only uses voice recognition and it shows. I've never tried it.
2
My Army stories are so boring compared to what others went through. Fighting at sea would be terrifying!
2
Basic Training was the only time in my life I have shaved my mustache.
2
Every one of those white men considered themselves to be Christians. They weren't.
2
Growing up in Los Angles in the 1950s and '60s it seemed like neon was everywhere. The Crest and Town theaters in Long Beach were covered. I'm always on the lookout for discarded signs for the transformers and the occasional Un broken tube.
2
TV Dinners indeed. One of my favorite foods before I became a vegetarian in 1968.
2
They were soldiers. There never should have been any question.
2
I had a rabies patient and so needed to be vaccinated. Those stones were bezoars.
2
We did that a long time ago in California. Your state should come around soon... if you work for it. Don't wait for other people to do it.
2
You make beautiful things. Thanks for sticking with it.
2
The loss of Heroes is very painful.
2
I never thought about pre sliced bread until I started baking my own. It takes a special knife... who knew?
1
He was a Hero with a great mind.
1
We have both a charcoal grill and a gas. And we're vegetarian.

An ad less than 2 minutes in????

Who destroys a monument to actual heroes?
1
I went from a white saucer cap as an Army MP to a campaign hat as a Drill Sergeant. Hats in the military are very important sources of pride and Esprit de corps.
1
Your presentation stirs the soul of this old Army Veteran.
1
Is that a phaser?
1
cathy brewer Silly child.
1
Indeed! Why ARE there only two Dakotas?
1
What an interesting life. Sort of the opposite of mine.
1
tenhirankei I was in the Army when Carter was elected. There was more than a little concern that the Soviet Union would test him. That's when I learned that the military can run an effective war (hot or cold) regardless of the president. With Cowardly Space Cadet Bone Spurs as our CinC that knowledge comforts me.
1
And then Notre Dame.
1
Celebrating with a breakfast beer!
1
That's a great hat!
1
I wore a white saucer MP cover on my head while wearing the Transportation Core patch on my sleeve at Ft Eustis, VA in the 1970s. TRADOC was the best duty for a young MP; street patrol, regular police work. One day I was ordered to take a report on a pretty large ship. I had no idea the Army had a Navy. It wouldn’t have been for me, I volunteered for the Army to keep my feet on solid ground.

Sleepy kitty.
1
My father's flag is on my wall.
1
Pull down every Confederate monument and melt them into man hole covers. Then we can teach THAT. No respect.
1
Marshmallow is usually not vegetarian so I cannot have a fluffer nutter. Sigh. But imagine saving a quarter million children's lives! And counting. Wow!
1
TP is not a necessity. It's crazy convenient. But we will survive without it for a while. Running water and soap will save us.
