When your bluff has been called a dozen times already, how effective is it any longer?
109
Excellent analysis of Trump. And why his next term is so terrifying.
61
@matthewk9563 The Russians are being hypocrites as usual. During the Vietnam war the Soviet Union loaned planes and pilots to the North Vietnamese. If Russia is not the successor state to the Soviet Union it should vacate its seat as a permanent member of the UN Security Council immediately.
21
@ovekkjlstad7703 If he does I will be the first to praise him. But there's no indication of that and given Trump's infatuation with Putin I won't hold my breath.
18
@seanp9277 LOL. That is close to the dumbest comment I've ever seen.
17
@seanp9277 With proper support from NATO Ukraine would already have won.
15
Your thoughtful and considered analysis absent any hyperbole makes this channel one of the best on the war in Ukraine. My thoughts regarding nuclear is that Putin and his generals know very well they can never win a nuclear war. Also, they would be factoring in the response that would come from China, India and othe countries that have been sympathetic to their goals. So we just need to give everything Ukraine needs to defeat Russia in a conventional war and Putin will be dealt with by the Russian people in due course.
14
@DIREWOLFx75 Perhaps Serbs might learn a lesson from it: don't try to perform genocide on your neighbours. Russia could take note too.
14
@John_Smith_86 Why are you using a generic Western alias? Are you not sufficiently proud of your Russian name and heritage? You can thank Putin for lacking the intelligence to foresee the results of his aggression.
14
In the Finland scenario, even if not all NATO members get involved, it's very likely that all those close to Russia will do so. I can't imagine the Baltic states, Poland, Norway and Sweden and possibly several others would refuse to help defend Finland. They would know they might be next on the chopping block. NATO may no longer exist in its current form but a new NATO type alliance would replace it. Russia will probably try something like this if Trump becomes US President again. But if not, it is very unlikely to try and even less likely to succeed. NATO could get ahead of this by giving Ukraine everything they need to defeat Russia. They could even get boots on the ground in Ukraine. That would be a convincing demonstration of their committment to stick together. And no, Russia is not going to escalate to nukes because they know that would be suicide.
13
@santoriniblue8413 And when the bluff is finally called, what then? The West should just ignore Russian protests and do whatever it takes to help Ukraine win.
12
I think that's very likely if Ukraine appears to be close to a significant military defeat. Poland and the Baltics have good reason to believe they're next on the chopping block, so it's better to fight the war in Ukraine than on their own soil.
12
The Mediazona numbers are interesting in the sense that over the course of the invasion Russia has lost around 50 soldiers per day over 400 days. But in the last 2 weeks, they have lost closer to 120 per day. That suggests the Ukrainian strategy of bleeding out Russia in Bakhmut is working. Another 3-4 weeks of the status quo and Ukraine will be in a far stronger position to launch their counteroffensive.
11
@Omgiamsotriggered Think it through. If you never call their bluff they can use nuclear blackmail to take any country they choose. US surrender or Russia uses nukes. So are you going to surrender or are you calling their bluff?
10
@johnadam2885 You have misrepresented what this video is about. It is Russia that has an unfit government. Your support of them speaks volumes in regard to your amorality.
10
@cooldad7297 NATO's military strength is about 100 times greater than Ukraine's and Russia can't defeat Ukraine even after nearly 3 years. Russia is now reliant on North Korea for weapons, ammunition and soldiers. Claiming that Russia could defeat NATO in a military conflict is like claiming a 10 year old child can beat Mike Tyson in a boxing match. It's so absurd that it's laughable.
10
Aid to Ukraine has been passed by the House of Representatives. Slava Ukraini
9
Are these young men against the war or against being personally mobilized? If it's the latter, I have little sympathy for them.
8
@thewingedringer You just used them in the same sentence.
7
Your analysis has been correct so often . Can you give your thoughts on how long it may take before Russia runs out of tanks and other essential military equipment so that they can no longer fight the war. I'm suggesting that the West can keep providing Ukraine with its military needs. So Russia is likely to hit the crunch point first.
4
Relying on disengaged Russians to have any impact on the war is an exercise in futility. The most certain way to end it is with a Ukrainian victory. So we must give Ukraine everything it needs, including longer range missiles and aircraft. The longer we delay this, the more Ukrainians die. I do not want to hear more confessions from Russians murdering and torturing at will. What sort of human being can shoot a 5 year old girl in the head? The evil that has gripped Russia must be defeated. I would support NATO getting boots on the ground if that's what it takes.
4
The only way for peace to return to Europe is after Russia is defeated. Putin will not stop until he is stopped. We are dealing with Hitler 2.0.
3
@jinjin-yw6lt Yugoslavia had already collapsed due to Serb aggression against their neighbours. Stopping the Serbs killing more Kosovars was a good thing. Why do you always seem to support war criminals?
3
@randomclick2826 There has been no real intent by Russia to negotiate. And Zelensky is confident he will get more and more weapons until such time that Ukraine wins. That outcome is certain because it is in so many countries interests that they will keep supporting Ukraine until Russia is defeated.
3
I would be shocked if Trump could point to Russia on a map of the world.
3
If only the great powers have real sovereignty then why would the smaller countries support Russia's idea? The world majority is made up of small countries or countries that have never been great powers and never will. Aside from possibly the US, Russia and China every other country would be ceding their sovereignty in this world view. That's more than 6 billion people and 200 countries. Russia's position makes no sense.
3
Why did NATO do what? Be specific.
3
Another excellent presentation. It could happen a lot sooner than expected. If Putin thinks he's running out of options it could be a last desperate throw of the dice.
3
Do commercial pilots have the skill set required to fly sorties over enemy territory, avoid advanced anti-aircraft missiles and complete their missions successfully? There may be a few who were previously air force pilots. But the rest of them would surely require a lot more training.
3
@justanordinaryaccount9910 If most Russian military pilots don't have those skills, then it's obvious that the commercial pilots will also never develop those skills either. So Russia's airforce will continue to be impotent.
3
Good idea.
3
@miroslavdusin4325 Can you provide evidence of Russian's working better under pressure? I certainly haven't seen any.
3
Who are these people? What is the document we should read? As far as I know Trump has no formal policy on the war in Ukraine. You sound like another gullible supporter. P T Barnum had a saying about people like you.
2
Putin is no different to Hitler. The war can only end with Russia being defeated. There is no chance of Russia choosing peace.
2
@user-yq2wk6yg8s That is a very weak argument. First it puts your own country into chaos. Second, it can easily lead to misunderstandings with serious consequences. Trump is too unstable to be a leader in any capacity. If no-one knows what Trump meant to say then he is unfit for leadership because clear communication is absolutely essential. Next time you apply for a job be sure to emphasise your poor communication skills and explain the benefits. And good luck getting the job because no employer will hire you.
2
Fantastic analysis. With so many claims and counterclaims it can be hard to figure out what's going on. But this was a really good insight. When do you think the main counteroffensive will begin? And where will Ukraine likely attack. I think they will surprise Russia once again.
2
@user-yq2wk6yg8s Trump could tell his cult that he walked across the Atlantic to attend peace talks and they would readily believe him. He can change his position a hundred times and they will cheer every new position. Hawk tuah guy gets a cheer every time.
2
Excellent analysis as always. But if NATO have been unwilling to get boots on the ground and face Russian aggression directly up to now, there's little chance they will have the willpower to do so in the foreseeable future. That means Ukraine has only one viable option: self reliance. Just assume NATO will never help them to win or be fully able to defend themselves. Start building nuclear weapons and build up their own domestic military capabilities with partners. At this point I think it's fair to call into question Article 5. I doubt it could be called into play effectively even if Russia used nuclear weapons against a NATO member.
2
@u2beuser714 Watch his previous video along with what was stated in the latter part of this video. I know you're a Russian supporter so some of it might be over your head. But at least try.
2
@BobStein We know what happened in the lead up to WW2. The consequences of appeasement and refusing to confront fascism are imaginable.
2
Trump doesn't even have a concept of a plan for what to do about the war in Ukraine. He was just bragging that he could solve it in 24 hours. He thought it made him sound good and it got attention.
2
He's a six times bankrupt business man. So we can safely say his business acumen has to be called into question. Trump bankrupted his casino Business. A casino! How can anyone be that incompetent.
1
The Ukrainian people will never accept political domination by Russia. Especially after what has happened over the course of the war. Zelensky could never agree to such a peace deal without being removed from office first. Why does anyone believe a peace deal with Russia is even possible? They break every agreement they make. Only a complete fool would believe them again after their breach of the Budapest Memorandum.
1
@Slava Ukraine It is actually impossible for Russia to win at this point. The West has made the decision that Russia must lose. Whatever it takes. Once that decision has been made there is no hope for Russia because the West is 50 times larger economically and at least 10-20 times more powerful militarily. The outcome is inevitable except to brainwashed Russian cheerleaders like you who base their view on the mistaken belief that Russia is a superpower. It is nothing of the sort. We are now entering cold war mark 2. Just as the USSR could not withstand the West, Russia too will inevitably succumb. What is happening on the battlefield today is of little consequence. What is coming in the months and years ahead is what matters. Worse still for Russia is that it has no meaningful, powerful allies who are willing to support it. China has made it clear that it is staying out of Russia's mess and India is just prepared to buy some cheap oil. To believe that Russia can win over a long time frame is like believing an ant can slay an elephant. Russia is an ant compared to the combined power of its enemies. The noose is already around Russias neck and it's going to be continuously tightened until Russia is dead.
1
@traumvonhaiti The Russian military is less than half the size it was before their invasion. They've lost thousands of tanks, artillery etc. The Russian Ministry of finance publishes monthly figures showing energy exports down approx. 70%. Don't they give you trolls that information? The world is witnessing the demilitarization of Russia. It's inevitable that at some point in the not too distant future that Russia no longer has the military capacity to defend its borders. Then it's game over for the evil Empire.
1
Harris was the one damaging your democracy? Wasn't it Trump who still refuses to accept his defeat in 2020? Trump voter and rationality go together like oil and water.
1
@MarcosElMalo2 Ukraine's main supporter is the US. They have not had their energy affected by the war. The Lend Lease program will continue unabated for at least 2 more years. Putin went all in and now has no way out other than military defeat. Over the winter Ukraine will have a significant military advantage and will use that to maximum effect. Some EU countries wavering will have a negligible effect on the outcome.
1
Ukraine is also getting assistance from non-NATO countries. It's not that much but tips the balance even further in their favour.
1
Perhaps the limitations for Russia are in tanks, shells, ammunition, etc rather than manpower? They may be pushing as hard as possible right now. To not be doing so would seem to be quite irrational.
1
Who could have imagined the US capitulating to Russia before Ukraine and all without a shot being fired. Trump and Vance are traitors.
