A lot of people are idiots. They think they can do whatever they want when they are behind the wheel.
2
Yes.....so sign!
2
Exactly! Sitting there and not saying a word will do more harm than good.
2
You still have the same rights no matter what kind of animals are in the police car!
2
Remember the 5 words.....Am I Free To Go?
2
Regardless the reason for the traffic stop, you do have to exit your vehicle if an officer orders you to do so.
2
@timbarker757 Ok, you go ahead and try that. But don't start whining when the officer breaks your window and drags you out of your vehicle so he can take you into custody.
2
Remain silent.
2
In some states, you do not have to divulge to the officer you have weapons in your vehicle. But once you told him you had weapons, that changes everything. That is why he called for backup. The officer has to take control of you and the weapons. That is why you were detained in handcuffs and the weapons cleared. Too many officers have been ambushed and that is why they cannot take any chances.

@Rabbonez Police officers make mistakes. The problem is they have to recruit from the human race.
1
In other words, if you don’t want a ticket.....obey the traffic laws!
1
Yes.
1
Oh no.....another sovereign citizen!
1
If an office "asks" you if they can search your vehicle, they are "asking" your permission. It is not obstruction if you do not give your permission for a search but you must verbally state "I do not consent to any searches". But there are instances when an officer can search your vehicle without your permission.
1
Searching you vehicle and searching your person are two entirely different things. If an officer "asks" to search your vehicle, he is "asking" your permission in which you should state "I do not consent to any searches". But there are instances when an officer may search your vehicle (and your person) without your consent.
1
You do not have to give an officer your phone number.
1
Oh no.....another sovereign citizen!
1
Oh no, another sovereign citizen.
1
Don't do the crime if you can't pay the fine!
1
You can write whatever you want but it means absolutely nothing.
1
Oh no.....another sovereign citizen!
1
If people would just obey the law instead of acting like children, there would not be any problems with the police.
1
Agreed. But there are instances when a police officer may search your vehicle without your consent.
1
@Rogerputman-j3x You really need to work on your sentence structure!
1
It is perfectly legal for the police to interrogate someone without counsel present. The suspect must ASK for counsel to be present during questioning.
1
Keep you trap shut!
1
It doesn't seem you know what "power of attorney" means. Your signature on a citation has nothing to do with that.
1
So how many times have you been pulled over and the officer just wants to talk about the weather?
1
Oh no.....another sovereign citizen!
1
Oh no.....another sovereign citizen!
1
Don't break the traffic laws and you won't have to make two trips to court!
1
@MiamiTabor It is most unfortunate that some people are undeserving of a citation...but it happens. Law enforcement officers make mistakes. The have to recruit from the human race.
1
So change your driving habits!
1
No they do not. You have to inform them you will not answer any questions. If you are placed under arrest, that is the time to ask for a lawyer if you cannot afford one.
1
Absolutely. It doesn't matter what vehicle you are in.
1
You can print whatever words you see fit under your signature.....it means nothing.
1
Oh no, another sovereign citizen.
1
You have been stopped 79 times? Are you a total moron?
1
If you buy a new car, never agree to a search. That is your own dumb fault for buying a used vehicle and not searching it!
1
BAD IDEA!!!
1
Disclosure of a firearm to a law enforcement official during a traffic stop varies from state to state.
1
Oh no, another sovereign citizen.
1
How about just obeying the laws and you won't have to deal with the police.
1
You can put up all the signs you want.....it means nothing. Depending on why the officer initiated the traffic stop, you must give him permission to search your vehicle. But there are instances when an officer can search your vehicle without your permission.
1
Don't break the law and you won't have to deal with the police.
1
No, you must place the required documents in the officers hand. Don't play the sovereign citizen game!
1
If you are operating a motor vehicle on public roads and have violated any of the motor vehicle laws, you must comply with the officers request and provide you drivers license, vehicle registration and vehicle insurance. Under these circumstances, you have no expectation of privacy.
1
It depends on the reason why the officer has possession of your phone.
1
And that varies from state to state.
1
How about just obeying the law then you won't have to kiss a cops ass!
