It's "parent", not "parents". They don't even know who the father is.

Companies are free to vote with their feet.

Why build a naked statue? Aren't there enough naked people running wild in the streets?

I recently saw a video about migrants being housed in an empty school building in a dangerous neighborhood in Chicago. The people who lived there did a major protest. Personally, I can't help but feel those migrants will be an improvement to the neighborhood. If in fact they are drug cartels, it'll be just more of the same, piled higher and deeper.

"What kind of justice is this?" Poetic justice!

Here's how businesses can reduce the crime rate. GTFO!!! Let's see how rich the city gets when it loses their revenue!
86
WTF!!!!! I thought Wyoming was the last vestige of normalcy in America. No place is sacred anymore!
85
Twelve cities are suing Los Angeles County because of its recent no bail policy. Either fight back, or suffer the consequences.
84
I was born and raised in Oakland. I tore out of there like a bat out of hell, soon as I turned 18. By far the BEST decision I ever made!
83
"Gateway Hotel" - what an appropriate name.
66
I remember once reading about a woman whose purse was snatched. A man was arrested in connection with it. He decided to represent himself in court. His first question to the woman was, "Did you get a good look at my face when I snatched your purse?"
51
How about warning people to not go to Oakland in the first place? Thise restaurants shouldn't strike; they should pack up and GET OUT!!!
50
"These kids have no opportunity". They would have had opportunities working at Walmart if they hadn't looted them out of the area!
48
"We have an outstanding police department." Right. They're out standing.
45
I just saw a video hy Justice Warrior about 2 women who ordered a meal with margaritas which came out to $50. They ate almost all of it, then complained they didn't like it and wanted their money back. When they were refused, they beat up the waitress and trashed the restaurant, doing thousands of dollars worth of damage. This happened in Chicago.
44
You can't smoke cigarettes on public transportation, but you can smoke meth and fentanyl? WHAT HAS MY BELOVED PACIFIC NORTHWEST COME TO???!!! 💔😭💔😭💔😭
44
How ironic. A law school done in by legal corruption. In the 80s, I had a coworker whose husband talked her out of buying a house so he could attend Golden Gate University. She wound up disappearing. I wonder whatever became of them.
43
Exactly. Anyone who wants to earn a living wage needs to acquire job skills that will enable them to do so. Hint: stay away from crime, and don't bully geeks.
42
This breaks my heart. When I lived in the Seattle area 25 years ago, I dealt with the police a few times, and they were always very professional. Once, when I suffered a nervous breakdown and did something highly illegal, they even offered to help me. These were white men! (I'm a black woman.) Please, bring back the old Seattle!

I just saw a YouTube video about a man who filmed thieves stealing $500 worth of laundry detergent. As they drove off, he ripped the cover off the car's license plate and got its number. The thieves were arrested shortly afterwards. His reward for his effort? They fired him for interfering with the robbery.
39
Why not just wall off Portland and Eugene, making them their own state?
38
I saw a video like this a few days ago. I was appalled at how empty the area around Hyatt Regency Embarcadero was. In 1978, my Christian high school had a banquet there. We walked around the place, and were dazzled by the fountain that poured without a splash, and the glass elevators zooming up the walls that were like an upside-down staircase. We rode one up through the ceiling into the rotating restaurant at the top. We gazed in awe at the glamorous diners slowly sailing past us against the glittering night scape of the Bay Area. Years later, I visited that restaurant in the daytime and had a drink there. Service was slow, but I think that was deliberate, so patrons could enjoy the view; one rotation takes 40 minutes. I have a lot of good memories of San Francisco. It breaks my heart what has happened to it.
38
It'll make a difference, all right. It will hide the criminals while they're committing crimes!
38
560 calls with 14 arrests. That's 1 arrest for every 40 calls. Pure psychosis!
37
"If the price is low enough, someone will buy it." Not necessarily. Whole neighborhoods in Detroit have been abandoned, under far lesser circumstances.
34
In 1986, I visited Anchor Steam Brewery with the Stanford Outing Club. I'm so glad we had a chance to experience it while it was still standing!
30
Since they're so desperate for free housing, they should rejoice at a 15 year sentence.
29
"Things always recover. It's just a matter of how long it takes, and to what degree." Not necessarily. Look at Detroit.
29
"Thank you for letting us squat on your property during our Defund the Police demonstration so we can steal it out from under you, and you will have no legal recourse."
27
It never occurred to anyone that greater skills equals a bigger paycheck. If you want to earn $50 an hour, develop skills that are worth $50 an hour. On the other hand, if you goof off through high school and blow your mind on drugs, you're stuck with what charity is willing to give you.
26
CRINGE!!! I see your point, but I prefer building a wall around their encampment and leaving them to fend for themselves.
26
The real question is, how did Goodwill last this long in Oakland in the first place?
24
Put on blackface and apply...
24
South Seattle! 💔😭💔😭💔😭💔 I knew a cynical black woman from Chicago who rarely had anything positive to say. One of the few positive things she said was about South Seattle. She was hitchhiking around the country, and met another black woman who invited her to stay at her house there. She apologized that it was in the ghetto. My friend was pleasantly shocked. She said you never would have guessed it was a ghetto. I have since lived in Seattle myself and can vouch for that fact. Now it's GONE!!! I HATE DRUGS!!!!!
24
Rite-Aid used to be Thrifty's. I understand they had a training program for clerks to become managers, but they would fire them right before the promotion. Any store so unethical should go out of business.
21
Amish, of course. Those pitchfork fights have to be stopped!
21
The real lowlife is not him, but the ones who keep leting him go.
21
To their credit, they outlasted Whole Foods in San Francisco
20
This will scare the hell out of Japan and Finland! 😂😂😂😂😂
20
Anchor Steam brewery is also shutting its doors, after 127 years. I visited it with the Stanford Outing Club in 1986.
20
@peterbelanger4094 - YOU try taking care of a drug addict!
20
@gelf1907 - not necessarily. No doubt they'll get mobbed, too.
19
I guess Seattle really is dying. 😭
19
Right. It's also the not so remote crime rate.
19
"Greenhouses are for plants." Does that include human vegetables?
18
In Japan, there are men who reject women. They're called herbivores. They should get together with 4B women.. 😂😂😂
18
Crazy as things are in this day and age, I'm surprised the robbery wasn't successful.
17
San Francisco: from Gumps to Dumps!
17
🎯💯‼️. Best comment!
17
@davidyoders8854 - I don't get it. Why would anyone put a warehouse in a place where rampant robbery is legal?
