  8. I’m so happy you and your family are able to stay in Hawaii. There are more native Hawaiians living on the mainland than the islands. I meet them in the Pacific Northwest and Las Vegas. It’s the only way they can afford homes and land.

  31. Not everyone is capable of living there. So I don’t think you need to worry. There is a valley in northeast Washington state that people love— until they try to get through a winter there. Then they leave. Yá’át ééh Késhmish to you and your family. ( trying to learn Navajo on Duolingo)

  49. I used to go once a year to enjoy shopping for books. Last time I went, Powells was so empty. And they were selling AOC dolls. Usually I had to winnow down my stack of books to purchase. But this time I left without any.
