@khalidm5939 Cows and pigs also live in symbiosis with human beings. Yet we still eat those. No, eating dogs is not cannibalism, because dogs are not human beings but a separate species.
5
@khalidm5939 More like you're making a false distinction. Of course cows and pigs have a bond with humans. They depend on humans for their survival, to get food, water and so on. Just like the dogs.

Absolutely true. When you're still a kid in school, being forced to learn a new language just feel like a chore. It's only when you grow up that you realize what a useful skill it is to have. And also how much easier it is to learn a new language when you're young. This has it's explanation in how human brains develop. As children we are the most receptive to picking up language skills as we will ever be in our lives. Just look at how babies go from not knowing any language at all to being able to speak to their parents at around age 2 or 3. It's amazingly fast compared to how long it takes for a normal adult to become fluent in a new language. And the cool part is that this ability to learn doesn't even get "overloaded" by learning several languages at once. So in a way, our schooling systems are kind of poorly designed in relation to how our brains work. If we had schools that utilized our brain development, then first grade to third grade would barely have any mathematics at all (because our brains aren't developed enough to understand it at that age anyway) and would instead be almost exclusively dedicated to learning not one language, but several languages at once.

Osaka = basically the Japanese Detroit.

@kastus77 : Alt-right is a meaningless buzzword applied to everyone and everything that doesn't agree with socialism, by the left wing.
5
@vdcn2776 : The Hong Kong protesters are not being "emotional". Their demand for freedom from the oppressive tyranny of mainland China is completely rational and justified. Mainland China just need to stop trying to enforce micro management and control over regular people's lives.
5
@Dhhtyu4566 : I would have to disagree. The evidence suggest that genes play the primary role, and diet and lifestyle are secondary in importance. Your telomeres at each end of your chromosomes are only so long. And they shorten with each cell division until they are too short and they can't enable cell division properly anymore, and once that starts with the majority of cells in your body, you will be afflicted by all manner of health problems and diseases that no diet or lifestyle will stop from killing you. There's also no evidence that suggest that telomere length can be influenced in any way by diet or lifestyle, giving further creedence to the idea that telomere length is determined primarily by genetics. Also, looking at Okinawa and it's high concentration of extraordinarily old people does suggest that genetics play a big part since Okinawa is a pretty small geographical location with a limited genepool, suggesting that some ancestors of the current day okinawans were blessed with genes that grant their owners significant longevity.

@memehl4148 It's not a "logical first step" and you're not "empowering women" by employing biased testing of their abilities and fudging numbers for them. All you do is confirm that us anti-feminists are right and that women are less suited for certain jobs in general by the mere fact that you have to CHEAT in order to make women to seem like they are able to compete with men. When I see any woman in a "position of power", I hardly ever think that she got there by her own merit because of feminists like you. I immediately think that her position is unearned and that she's only there because of gender quotas and nothing else. So congtatulations, your support of this idiocy only make me and most of society MORE sexist than before.
5
@joanmassat8938 No, women most certainly do not posess more endurance than men. Male athletes outperform women in both sprinting contests and marathons.
5
@joanmassat8938 No women pass the tests for military special forces. Let that sink in.
5
@joanmassat8938 Radical elements are the norm within feminism and not an outlier. Feminists never argue AGAINST one another, regardless of how radical statements some of them make. So the radicalism ends up being normalized in any and all feminist groups. There are no internal power struggles or actual debates within feminism whatsoever.

@9y2bgy Yes, it is. And no, i'm not. Until you are legally allowed to insult people, then you have no free speech at all. Insults are free speech. There is no discussion to be had about it. If you oppose people's right to be insulting or offensive, then you also oppose free speech. It really is that simple. Because if you feel offended or insulted, it is always YOUR fault, not the speakers fault. YOU are the one who even listens to the speaker in the first place. YOU are the one who doesn't dismiss the speaker as being a liar or incorrect. YOU apply value and weight to the speakers words, not him/her. Therefore YOU are responsible for any feelings of offense that you might experience from hearing the speaker.
5
@mariezeephyllix7736 No they don't. Usually it's personal experiences that makes people racist. All they do is cross-reference personal experience with what certain videos are saying. And they most certainly do not become "racist" due to comedic television commercials. You have nothing to back your claims up.
5
@Anderson-ly9no It might not have gotten to that stage in Japan yet, but as some of the interviewees commented in the video, they see a lot of immigrant cashiers in convenience stores already.
5
Duterte did nothing wrong.
5
Holy shit! That 82 year old gentleman doesn't look a day older than 65. :O
5
@GOLD_FEVER Not using any logical fallacies. You just realized you entered a discussion you know you'll lose and now you're trying to save face. Quite pathetic.
5
China does not have a "better economy". Their economy is severel propped up by exports. The Chinese economy rise and fall depending on the willingness of other countries to purchase Chinese products. GDP is not the end all, be all measurement of an economy.
5
Tideoflung: But what if a Korean woman reasons the same way but with the genders reversed? Better not welcome any "refugees" at all. Or at the very least: force them to go back once it has been established that they're not threatened in their home countries anymore. In Europe you have this bizarre situation where people have "fled" from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq etc. claiming it's "unsafe" for them to live there... But they happily travel back to their home countries during vacations. It's almost as if they would have you believe that jihadi terrorists and dictator regimes simply leave vacation goers alone for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5
@zzz.9034 They are almost the same... but the Chinese government can spy more on their users activities.
5
Probably because Koreans don't see racism in exactly everything. Like a lot of retarded western people do.
5
@ScarletToxicRose : Since when is it the job or place of africans or african americans to go and "correct" people of a different culture which no african has any claim to? Maybe they should keep their noses clear of where they do not belong rather than presuming that they have any right to go around telling others what to do?
5
@lzxcandy : I'm wondering how much Disney really cares about the Chinese market, or how much the Chinese population wants the film to be further tailored to cater to their cultural history. After all, the animated version of Mulan was pretty popular in China despite being historically and culturally inaccurate. It wasn't exactly a box office bomb in Chinese theaters. Companies aren't always very concerned with every market in the world. This is especially noticeable in Japan for example, where video game developers outright ignore the american and european markets altogether. Nintendo is an especially glaring example since they stay afloat and turn a profit from the Japanese market alone (apparently the Japanese just can't get enough of yet another installment in the Super Mario series or the Zelda series). So it would be interesting to listen in on the boardroom meetings at Disney to see where their priorities lie.

Self-awareness is an admirable trait. Sadly too many mainstream reporters and journalists are just as biased as you describe, yet they try to pass off their stories and reporting as "objective", even when it's clearly not. The reporters for Asian Boss hold a higher standard though.
5
@Jsarmy87124 Top country with money? You're not a frequent visitor to the stock market, are you?
5
"Gwailo", "Gaijin" etc. Yeah, us westerners sure are racist...
5
what what: The problem is assuming that Kim Jong Un is in any way a rational human being. He's had a terribly warping upbringing by one of the most insane dictators the world has ever known. Being an heir of an oppressive dictatorship and being born in the lap of luxury will have terrible effects on the mindset of a child, and it is unlikely to result in them growing up to become a responsible and rational human being. Kim Jong Un could very well start a nuclear war, due to his inherent instability and genuine belief in the personality cult surrounding the Kim family that he has been fed with since he was born.
5
what what You don't have to be rational or sane to realize that a starving population is a weak population which will be unable to take up arms against you. He is not an effective leader. He's just an average tyrant. Firing a missile over japanese soil is a pretty definitive proof of his insanity and over-confidence.
5
@ronuss : Why would it cause more problems because the customers are western? It's not like the law is separate for westerners in Japan.
5
@VirtueOwl : I read books about germany all the time... But all the information I find is that germans are nazis. So much for "shutting up and reading a book". :P
5
Duterte is a real leader who takes active charge in dealing with crime.

calforrai: I don't know if I agree. For one asian languagase are quite beautiful in written form. Whereas the western alphabet look very clunky and unappealing by comparison. I mean, people even go so far as using japanese and chinese characters as tattoos because of the way they look. But when people have tattoos with western alphabets it's usually only the meaning of the tattooed words that are considered important, and not really the way the individual letters look like.

China = North Korea lite
4
The No.1 reason why Japanese birth rates are declining. :P
4
China is an aggressive and oppressive Big Brother regime. Why on earth would anyone want "diplomatic relations" with such a country?
4
Black face can hardly be construed as "evil". You're being hyperbolic.
4
Did you know that saying things like "Korean people are beautiful"... Is actually kind of racist? :D You assume that people possess a certain characteristic of aesthetics based purely on race or ethnicity. Just because it's a compliment, it doesn't make it any less racist since the assumption is based on race or ethnicity rather than individual identity.
4
OCASM: That's because you don't understand what the term "racism" means. Probably because you've only learned of the left-wing influenced "newspeak"-definition of what "racism" means, that has little to do with the original definition of the word. "Racism" does not mean "being mean to brown people" or even being bigoted to "brown people". Racism, as per the original definition of the word, implies that you have adopted a set of beliefs according to which human beings can be classified according to race, and that certain races have certain inseparable racial attributes both physically and mentally, and that certain races are more "superior" to others. So even if you see it as a "compliment" to say that all people of a particular race or ethnic group are "beautiful", the compliment in itself is based in a racist mindset, because the statement assumes that you think a race or ethnic group possess a certain characteristic based purely on their race and that it makes them superior to another race in some capacity.
4
Maria Ramirez: You can't compliment an entire race without being racist. And just there you engaged in racism again by making a blanket statement about white people.
4
Chí Thiện Nguyễn: Civilians always die in wartime. That's just the nature of war.
4
That's true. In the end, language is just a tool meant to facilitate communication between people. It doesn't matter if spelling, grammar or pronounciation is perfect as long as people can make themselves understood.
4
@wordzmyth Women who choose to have children independently of marriage only have themselves to blame for their hardships. This idea that a woman should be able to live just as comfortably as a single mom like a married woman with children is wholly unnatural and nonsensical. Society does not benefit from a bunch of single mothers producing offspring through casual sex and insemination. This because single mothers have, statistically a very poor track record in raising, stable, healthy and successful childre. The 2-parent households however have a superior track record in producing healthy and productive offspring, therefore it is in society's best interest to incentivize marriage while disincentivizing single-parent households.
4
"Our prophet taught us never to be violent" While the prophet himself waged religious wars... Sounds legit...
4
Doesn't it have something to do with the fact that there aren't any japanese words at allt that naturally use the western way you pronounce "L"? I've looked through the katakana and hiragana alphabets and none of them contain any characters with L in it. Only R is included (ra, ri, ru, re, ro) which explains why japanese sometimes substitute L with an R in their pronounciation of english words.
4
R Age: Let's face it, americans are not exactly known for expert pronounciation of other languages either. :P
4
@claudeyaz : All the more reason why the country should impose more strict consent laws.
4
If I am fortunate enough to visit Kazakhstan in my lifetime, I'll make a point of not talking about Borat. Just take in the country on it's own terms.

There are neo-nazis in Ukraine. And what's worse is that some of them have government backing. Read about the Azov Battalion. Not only have they admitted to holding neo-nazi views, their unit insignia is a famous Nazi symbol, and they are funded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukranian government. Aside from Azov, you also have the Ukranian Insurgency Army (a violent political activist group with neo-nazi view, using the black and red Bandera flag during riots) and the Right Sector movement. You would see a lot of them from footage during the Euromaidan insurrection with red and black flags being waved alongside the Ukranian national flag. They also burned 40 people alive inside the Union Trade House in Odessa during the Euromaidan. So to say that Putin is just being "delusional" about Neo-Nazis in Ukraine is untruthful.
4
Stop eating vile crap like Bat Soup, and maybe these terrible diseases won't keep popping up in China.
4
@ᄆ: Yes they do. Each political group should be allowed to label themselves. Trying to label them as something else is blatant misrepresentation and completely dishonest. Asian Boss deserves credit for doing their best not to misrepresent the people they interview.
