Islamophobia can't be "racist". Because it's not targeting a race but a belief. It's like saying that being phobic against capitalism is "racist".

I'd be surprised if the Thai say "Thailand" since "land" is not a native word of the Thai language. And I know for a fact that the Japanese don't refer to their country as "Japan" but as Nihon-koku. But they're not moaning and being cringe about it. Especially not since they have their own names and pronounciations for our western countries as well. It's a perfectly fair system of tit for tat and there's no valid reason to change it. And as far as "Turkiye" goes... I refer to them as "Cockroach Land"

Jason Bourne Agreed. For me it's like, even if i'm not a cop, that kind of situation is one that I'd want to go in a "hobo with a shotgun mode". Who cares if I end up dead during the attempt. Most people in the world die completely pointless deaths and won't be remembered by anyone. So if you ever have that opportunity to go into danger to save someone, especially a classroom full of defenseless children, then why not? If you take out the shooter, you can always look back on it for the rest of your life and feel like you did something genuinely good and impactful in this world. If you get shot, then it's still a hero's death. Win/win, I'd say.

The part about art not having to be about race makes me think of Rowan Atkinson and "Mr. Bean". The character Bean is massively popular all over the world. And the reason behind it is because the comedy sketched that feature Bean are purposefully made to not rely on language or knowledge of cultural contexts. It's like Atkinson and the involved writers tried to strip away as much cultural context from the humour as possible in order to reach a sort of universal "core or comedy" that anyone on earth can understand and find funny. So Bean's race becomes irrelevant. His British background is irrelevant. The language that he supposedly speaks (although he just mutters and mumbles inaudibly most of the time) becomes irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you're from Britain, Egypt, Bangladesh, Uruguay, France or Finland. The comedy in Mr. Bean can be understood by everyone.

@zerofactor7871 I'm not a fan of motorsports personally. It's just too repetitive going around the same track over and over that I eventually lose interest. But I do have a soft spot for engineering. They say that electric vehicles accelerate faster and what have you. But there's no "energy" to it for me. I like the sound of a roaring combustion engine. The knowledge of all those pistons set into motion by tiny gasoline powered explosions. I don't care if the electric vehicle accelerates faster. I want to hear the engines roar. It's a masculine urge of mine. In the same way I like hearing the loud bangs of firearms when shooting.

@PostProteusKitten It's like, he could've told Shad about this directly or at least hear him out. Agree to disagree as an adult person would do or try to persuade Shad to see things from his point of view. But instead he skipped interacting with Shad entirely and went on to do a performative post to appease angry lefties. It's so vile and transparent and telling of his exceedingly bad character. Heck, he could've just stayed quiet entirely and gone about with his regular content while not doing more collabs with Shad in the future and wait for the relatively minor outrage to die down. It would've been a bit cowardly too, but at least it would've been more classy. And that's why I am openly critical of his actions. It's not the fact that he "dumped" Shad. But how he went about it and what it says about him as a person. Matt showed the world that he's just a disloyal snake and such behaviour warrants public roasting.

I have no sympathy for "landlords" who don't even own their properties they rent out. No, buying a property with a mortgage only to rent it out for more money than you pay into the mortgage is not being a landlord, it's being a scalper.
20
Because you allowed left wing subversives to hijack your academic seats. The academia are the factories that produce politicians and state officials.
20
@opencurtin Yeah, "officially banned" like lynchings were officially banned in the U.S in the late 19th century and early 20th century. But unlike India, the U.S has made it practically banned as well, wheread no courts in India prosecute anyone for caste-based bigotry or discrimination.

Imagine taking the hippocratic oaths of doing no harm to a fellow human being. Then they tell you to grab some forceps and to pull apart a baby's body limb from limb while the baby is still alive... and these people call themselves "medical doctors"...

I'd ask the following: If you are to deny people tax funded welfare... Why then should they feel compelled to pay any taxes at all? You'd literally play completely into the libertarian argument that taxation is theft, because you'd be stealing from people to fund welfare, supposedly "available to everyone", while at the same time telling the people you're stealing from that they are banned from the welfare they're forced at gunpoint to pay for.

"A Juneteenth celebration without a few deaths is generally considered a very dull affair" 😏

@stewartsherwood7769 It's okay to be rude towards dishonest people. These trans activists aren't looking for an honest discussion to begin with, so i'm all for harassing, insulting and ridiculing them as much as humanly possible. The more they suffer, the better.

@johnblake5395 If they were all born there, then why was immigration necessary to create the team?
19
"Nation building is a waste of time"... As if the U.S or Nato even tried. Look at Japan after WWII. That was proper nation building done right. But not a single western country had the inclination to do so with Afghanistan.
19
"Oh oh! But we're a GOOD government now! We apologized to people accused and executed for witchcraft 500 years ago... 500 years after the fact. So you see, we're actually the good guys now!"
19
An insurrection would've been just though. America was founded on insurrection after all.
19
One lesson to take away from this is the following: don't base all of your confidence and personality on your appearance. Everyones appearance will fade with age. If you've wasted your life working solely on your appearance then you will have nothing as you grow older. There will be no galas or celebrations for the people who are only known for that they "used to be attractive when they were younger".
19
Asking a woman what sort of responsobility a woman should be obliged to shoulder will always yield a predictable answer...
19
I'd argue that after 20 years of age, you have to take responsibility of your own decisions with dating and if you want to date someone older, then any age group is viable. So 10 years, 20 years of age difference doesn't matter. You're 20 years old. Time to put on the big girl panties and take some responsibility.
19
@thecheese4255 Well let's put it this way: in prison you're a net financial burden on the state. A state that clearly is short of money since they resort to conscription in the first place. If enough people refuse the draft and choose prison over military service, the state will be sweating bullets.
18
My advice: lie through your teeth on any application from. Say you're "non-binary". It's not like they can subject you to a "purity test". Now more than ever it is important that sane people start grabbing hold of influential positions in business and government.
18
@Tangarisu Everyone is too busy keeping their heads down and trying to not rock the boat.

I can't help but feel that a lot of people get misdiagnosed with depression because western culture has made it seem like happiness and elation is the "normal" state of mind. So if anyone ends up being "below" that, they start thinking they're depressed and overfocus too much on it until it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Being in touch with your "raw" mental being seems to be something that most people just desperately try to avoid at all costs, rather than sitting down and just go through the experience and learning how to deal with it. If you're tired, everyone drinks coffee or energy drinks. If they're stressed, the drink or smoke cannabis. If they're comfortless they eat unhealthy foods. If they're sad they start popping anti-depressants. How is anyone supposed to be able to learn to know themselves when they immediately resort to chemical escapes of somekind to avoid having to go through an inconvenient emotion?
18
Victoria Coren... All I know her from is "Would I lie to you?" Boring normie BBC personality basically.
18
Same here. If it was kept rare and undesirable, it was one thing. But their disgusting glorification of abortions and constantly pushing the boundaries of it's legality has entrenched me firmly in the pro-life camp.
18
@ryanb Wrong. You can't go around saying that guns are a solution to the problem on the one end, while claiming that guns are bad and don't solve any problems on the other. If guns in Ukraine help protect democracy, then guns in the hands of any western civilian who want them will also protect democracy.
17
But she did pick a bad man. It happens. Men are just as capable of lying about their intentions, maturity and goals as women are. Her mistake was shacking up with him too fast.
17
One problem with fashion models is that they tend to look skeletal even in their youth. That emaciated look ends up amplified when they get older.
17
Crack is definitely a "scummy drug". Heroin is an exotic luxury by comparison.
17
I kinda hope Matt will get a roast from the Lotuseaters because of it.
17
Corporate Media attacking Youtube? I'll go and grab some popcorn before enjoying the dumpster fire. 🤣
17
Whenever the "diversity officers" talk to you: just use the gamer word repeatedly until they go away.
16
And they are right to be authoritarian. All it takes is one quick glance at the ideological hellhole that the "freedom loving" west has turned into, with children being indoctrinated into transgenderism or to be future sextoys for homosexuals to realize why Russians don't want that shit inside of Russia.
16
"What more do you need to see?" Well I for one need to see that there are no long term side effects from the vaccine that may not be detectable now but starts popping up 5-10 years later. As plenty of vaccines have shown in the past. You can't present me 5-10 years worth of data into long term effects of the vaccine at this point, and so i'm not gonna have your vaccine.
16
On behalf of Uganda I wish to ask the United States: "Why are you gae?"
16
If Elon starts purging the staff at Twitter. Then maybe the can put up a picket line outside the office and chant "You will not replace us!" 🤣
16
"Who's Fox Mulder?" LOOOOOL! You have a lot of Gen X and Millenial culture to learn, Connor🤣
16
Yes, that is the correct response: "I like it here and I would like to fit in here" It will instantly disarm the person asking something like "Why did you come here?" They'll drop their suspicions and probably feel bad for acting hostile and apologize on the spot.
15
@petestaley7903 Your king who think that your spot in the regiment should be replaced with someone with a black face. Some "king" you've got there, mate...
15
His grift crashing and burning over the last few days has been comedy gold. 🤣
15
As a rightwinger, I hadn't even heard of "Empire" until Jussie's false flag stunt. It's not a show I watch or even find myself remotely interested in.
15
I'm at the point where I wouldn't even oppose it if Trump installed himself as dictator for life.
14
Let the actors strike until they're broke and replace them all with AI. I hate the insufferable writers and actors of hollywood so much that I'd rather spend the rest of my days watching fully AI-generated movies than having these people make any more money.
14
@raydematio7585 How many shekels did they pay you for your lip service?
14
There's no reason for us to care about what Ukraine feels about Putin either.
14
Some people say Sam Hyde is like the Joker. But I think Sam Hyde is more like The Comedian from Watchmen. He hasn't really succumbed to madness like The Joker. Instead he's seen through the hypocrisy and double standards of western society and decided to poke fun at it rather than getting depressed over it.
14
True. He basically brought spotify to heel. They wanted him on Spotify far more than he needed to be on Spotify, and he's given far more leeway in expressing controversial opinions on it than anyone else.
14
Whenever the IPCC starts moaning about 1.5 degrees, I'm just thinking of pre-historic times. Back then, the north and south pole were completely ice free and covered in fern forests. The earth has been through this before, and it damn sure did not end life on earth because the global temperature was hotter. It took asteroid impacts to create mass extinction events. A small increase in global temperature due to greenhouse gasses will not cause it to happen.
13
If the truckers do use violence, I'd support their decision. Tyranny must be fought with any and all methods available.
