"A city can survive it's ambitious and even it's fools but it can not survive treason from within." The threat that is coming has been invited by those from within.

Orwell would turned in his grave if he saw how right he turned out to be.
87
The greatest of people's are never valued in their own time, just as true prophets are never welcome in their own homeland.
53
Define "Dignity" sir, cause at this point we've already passed that marker of no return. It's either a matter of "Fuck it" or "We're fucked."
48
He DEFENDED him, not failed to prosecute.
41
Powell was right - the one man who stood up to point out the problem and could have turned us away from this problem and they crucified him.
40
We've barely enough troops to defend ourselves for about two weeks - what makes him think he's going to have any to send... Cause if he thinks drafting is gonna work, I think I speak for more than enough when I say I've got two words for him....
40
Nothing. Ideological Subversion has done it's work over the last hundred years.
33
It's people need to grow a backbone and reject the entire system. An amendment like the constitution is just a piece of paper and written on it are "privileges" not "rights" for a right can't just be given to you, you have to declare that right and be prepared to fight and even die for it. Fail that or back down when pressed and you lose that right. A privilege is given but can just as easily be taken away, that's the difference.
33
@Maureen.Silivri What we're seeing is only the calm. When things get really bad, you'll think these present times are a heavenly past time.
32
@Uduwerage There's only two simple routes - you either are, or you are not.
30
Only one thing you can do - and it's something the average Brit won't do. And to think we were once the envy of the world, now we're a mockery of ourselves.
29
Fact is unfortunately that whilst they didn't vote for HIM, they still voted and thus accepted the operandi of the process.
28
@barbsussex3865 Difference is the politicians aren't gormless - they're complicit on behalf of their masters.
28
@candy-le4nh 🙄 It never occur to you that he deliberately dropped the ball to get him off the hook... honestly sweetie, pay attention.
27
And yet people will vote anyway.
26
Vote anyone at all and still sign consent for the same system to remain in place with a new set of faces to blame who are just as easy to replace.
26
As a wise man wrote "Cut out a man's tongue and you show the world that you're afraid of what he might say" I mean after all - if the likes of Belfield are just "Conspiracy Theorists" then why worry? Why go so far in this paranoid notion of stalking - of which he'd be renowned for being pretty poor at it? Because - and yes I'm stating the obvious, this wasn't about any 'stalking' it was about what he was saying and since it seems he was touching the rawer nerves of someone with too many fingers in too many pies, they've been at risk of exposure and so they've shushed him up and proven to be the gutless, guilty cowards we know them to be and what they've proven to be.
26
You must understand the nature of sociopathic egotists. The only thing they want more than absolute control and power, is more control and power. If people stopped electing others to govern them and stopped elevating such positions to almost reverence, such control freaks wouldn't have a leg to stand on. They're to blame for their own decisions, the public are to blame for being so incompetent as to put them there in order to make those choices.
25
The sign of a true politician.
20
And yet the Natives themselves are elected there by the clueless Hobbits with not one ounce of original thought amongst the many of them. Instead they choose to cling desperately to the very system that aims to destroy them too. And the Eye of Sauron is ever watching, waiting, preparing.
19
Yet slavery has been illegal in England and later the whole of the UK since 1102; the moment a slave entered British territory, they were free men and women.
18
I am staunch opposed to playing the game of voting as I would imagine my comment history portrays. However whilst I stand by that stance, I can see something in Trump that works: establishment clearly hates the man enough that they're pulling out all stops to keep him from power. That tells me enough that he's not playing their game and I believe that this calls for the mantra to be said: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
14
Yet profoundly, people vote and thus consent to it.
14
In a bizarre twist - in spite of the fact I share your proclivity to this madness; it's somewhat a blessing in disguise. If a nation is so compelled to destroy itself on its own efforts, then it is a nation; like those before it, doomed to fail no matter what road it would take. And as a misanthropic, borderline nihilist with a penchant for schadenfreude; I can't help but watch on and laugh amidst my own frustration toward current events. Reality truly is wedded to a bitch called irony.
14
I'd agree completely, but there's two things in this world I don't believe in: Karma and Coincidence.
14
Rather Germany of the 1930s, isn't it.
13
And they're all the same - which is why the vote is a complete waste of time. Only difference is Keir is more blatant about it.
13
@HistoryDebunkedsimonwebb We need individual accountability and responsibility if anything else. Voting isn't going to make a lick of difference - all its doing is justifying and consenting to this charade in the names of those who vote within the system. Point being - if you're voting; even if you protest, you're giving those who are in charge what they want.
13
@EvenBigger-Brother Don't put that demon's name along with one of the very few good men of the last century.
13
@leecromer3289 Because establishment have an agenda and any party getting in, either complies or finds itself replaced. All politicians are on the same payroll - that in itself should be telling.
13
GreggFellows When the law of the land appeases the criminal at the expense of the law abiding - to what purpose is there to keep abiding? Either the law works as it's intended, or the law gets disregarded. And even the most chaste and obedient soul will turn when pushed just that little bit too far.
13
@davidbarlow350 Because the result would have been the same. And by voting they'd have signed away their consent to his authority.
12
They've woken up to the situation in front of them, but not the trap set for them. Each one that votes , is kissing their liberty goodbye for another term; because it's the owners of the state who are really being enabled.
11
@candy-le4nh Doesn't take much proof to demonstrate a case of deliberately acting inept. Not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you.
11
@25nasar Take that out on her.
11
If a person can not be self sufficient, being united is a pointless endeavor that leads to dictatorship alike the sort we're dealing with. Folk got too used to the state and that lack of strength has lead to complacence and ineptitude whilst they've been let to grow uncontested.
11
@LukeSkywalker522 "Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society"
10
Not likely - they're all on the same page behind the scenes. The actions taken are via order, not decision and the origin of those orders are not from the public.
10
@harryworth8157 And thank you for making my case for me...😧 the system remains the same... and yet people simply will not learn.
10
Well a simple observation of humanity demonstrates that an opportunist with an opportunity to exploit a reasoned source for further opportunity in the eyes of those dependant on that source, is not so hesitant to utilise it to their advantage. Or as another commenter said once "I tried finding the science and found none. I then tried following the money and along the way I conveniently found the science."
10
Ohoho will you be disappointed if they get in... they're no better than any of the other party's. They ALL answer to the same.
10
@gilessteve Don't give them ideas... or rather don't think that just watching isn't something they haven't realised.
10
@everest9707 They do and that's why establishment ALWAYS gets in. The politicians give the impression of having a choice: you don't, like them you have owners, they own you and all you're doing by going along with it is legitimising their hold.
9
@johntooth1886 and we start by rejecting the system itself.
9
@oldboygeorge7688 know anyone at least 150 years old?
9
And it's done by design to keep "the plebians" in line.
9
@action1976 And you believe them... so naive...
9
@johnmcmahon5145 The US has a chance - Trump's term has bought them all time. Over here we're knackered.
9
Well apparently they thought it alright to cast Ann Boelyn as a black woman...
