Because it doesn't matter WHO you vote for, the result is the same: the establishment is the casino and no matter how many times you gamble, they always win. Why? Because you've given them the consent to doing so just by ticking the box and putting it in writing. People have the option to do the best thing and that is to not consent and remove power from the establishment and be responsible for themselves. But people won't do that - too scared, too lazy and too stupid to figure it out for themselves so they'll comply and vote then bitch and moan when as predicted, nothing changes - the banner does at best.

  15.  @jimmyzoom1143  not that it's any of your business, but my kids have a mix over the week for breakfast, occasionally a cereal, sometimes bacon butties, sometimes porridge depending on what I think is right. They have packed lunches which I determine what is right or not because all they feed at their school is comparable to rabbit food. I let my kids eat when they're hungry and trust them to use their senses but I also expect them to behave and why? Because despite my work load I actually sit down and TALK with them and have them do other things aside from sit on their ass and play on their consoles. You know, the things parents SHOULD be doing, instead of having feckless, pretencious do gooders lecturing on and on when they do worse themselves. So you can blame sugar and all that shit all you want, but at the end of the day you take personal responsibility for your own actions; this world and everyone else owes you and everybody else nothing.

  23. I'll drink to that 🍺 However I think everyone in the country after a certain age should be involved in the running one way or another. Patriotic, hard working and loyal men and women all. No going to vote one person to represent a million or so they have little in common with - it's never worked.

  24.  @andyb4864  once again this "We" I don't recall ever being given the time to ask about what laws were put through for France and Germany just as I don't recall ever embracing the idea that they could do the same to us. Our predecessors did not abolish the largest empire on earth to annex them and ourselves to the sort they fought six long, bloody years to defy. And as for the EU being democratic; which it is NOT - ask Ireland how the Lisbon Treaty refusal went. Spoiler alert - the EU establishment nodded their heads then made Ireland go through another referendum and with the title "Now, let's hear the RIGHT answer"

  25. Voting inevitably reinforces that system - voting any way is a wasted effort as no matter who gets in, the establishment always wins. If everyone just figured this out and stopped participating, stopped acknowledging them - things would actually change!

Seriously the reason why most of the SNP are concerned about this is because Katie represents a side of Scottish culture that they're not too eager to admit. Put it this way during the Act of Union: the Scots had two reasons for going for it - they were bankrupt but also they simply couldn't control many with their zealous religious fervor. There's a good reason why even the Romans figured "Screw that! They're nuts!" And did a Donald Trump before Donald Trump did a Donald Trump... and proved it worked.

  30.  @dianeparker5993  not really, the empire was a financial mess by the start of the 20th century, by 1937 the Pound Sterling was no longer valued by Sterling Silver and World War II more or less bankrupted it (You can thank Chamberlain for that cockup; a war that should have ended in a few months at most waged on for six years because for the first ten months, he did nothing.) we had no choice but to dismantle. The weakness in the British Empire is the same as in all Empires; too much growth spreads the necessary needs too far and thus too thin. I believe it's abolition to be a good thing for the same reason I stand by my choice to vote Brexit: the notion of imperialism is outdated and excessive. Now we just need to do the same with the royal family and we might actually get Britain to be Great again and for better reason.

Whether you and I wanted to or not - we either had to play the game or be silent and by choosing that over rejecting the game and silence to be responsible for ourselves, we all but condemned ourselves. Even the MPs themselves are mere chess pieces - a little above pawns in the fact they're aware of the game and strive to take a little slice for themselves once their time in office is over. The players who control them go completely ignored by the masses. One such is Klaus himself. A founding inherited player of the very system that billions fall for playing; believing themselves kings when they are nothing but pawns to be used up and thown away from the moment they line up to play.
