Normally the phases are sequential. Normally they don't expend every resource possible to optimize the timeline. This time they carried them out simultaneously and had extra funding. Waiting for a specific number of years instead of looking at the data would tell us nothing. The data says it was done properly. Also, the illness is called COVID-19 because it started appearing in 2019. Try counting that number of years again.

  8.  @cassiusdhami9215  FPTP is unrepresentative. It regularly gives all the power to one party that won only a third of the vote, and not even the one that necessarily got the most votes! That can't happen with PR. With FPTP we can't just vote our conscience, because even millions of votes for one party doesn't necessarily mean even one seat. With PR it is very uncommon for voters to not get any representatives from the party they voted for, so they can choose freely without worrying about strategic-voting. FPTP's winner take all nature does not promote cooperation or faithful representation. It rewards those that treat everything like its win or lose for their party, appealing to the lowest common denominator, always being vague, and not disrupting the status quo. PR makes cooperation necessary. It ensures that voters are accustomed to representation and will not put up with anything else, because they never have to worry about voting their conscience.

  44. Imagine thinking cracker belongs in the same category as racial slurs, which have had actual impacts on the world. These bans are a solution in search of a problem. Twitch policies never made sense. Bans are totally inconsistent. Directing hate mobs is done with near impunity, but a term that you have to be told was used in a bad way in order to be allegedly be bad--is an instant booting.

The answer for COVID is definitely worse. We knew that much even when the vaccine was first authorized for emergency use...because that's literally why it was authorized. That's the bar. And a number of years does not change any of that. You're just arbitrarily attached to the idea because it's an inflexible excuse for you to not think about the facts. And based on the science there will be no long term vaccine effect that isn't already apparent anyway.
