  11. Hi Ray. Instead of putting on the nut the usual way, why not thread it on to the shaft with the flange-side facing up towards the hydraulic press? More surface area to press against that way. 😊

  16. I think Acetone will dissolve the foam, but leave the fiberglass alone (but test an eensie-tiny section, first!) it’ll also help clean any glue residue off the fiberglass once you’re done. You’ll need to do this outside, or choke on acetone fumes - bad. 😢

  27. (@1:11) the resistance (impedance) of the load (speakers) should match that of the supply (amp). If the two speakers are 2 ohms (each), then series gives you 4 ohms, and parallel gives you 1 ohm. Be sure to wire the two (-) terminals (of the speakers) together and the two (+) terminals together, or it’ll sound like cr*p! 😮

  46. I think I would seek a way to divert water around the new unit so that it doesn’t become like the old unit. Come-backs displease me. 😉 Maybe put the new unit, and the connector, in a zip-lock baggie and seal it with hot glue or silicone caulk. 😎
