@kgkbuugj that's just your opinion, ultimately the gov'ts opinion is the only one that matters, and hopefully the laws get changed at some point soon. Unconscious and dead are 2 different things. One you come back from and realize you were violated, the other you do not, so that was a stupid comparison.

@Supervhizor until that right is outlawed as it should be. Any gov't rights given (including wasteful ones like the current ones pertaining to corpses) can be taken away just as easily. After you are dead you should have 0 right to your corpse, it should in fact be gov't property at that point. And in 1832 UK you in fact were (it was sold to med schools to pay for any outstanding debts you left, or given to the family if there were none). Dunno why that law was repealed in the 1950's just because of a few selfish sentimental whiners.

@Supervhizor The US gov't as a whole can do whatever they want. Ever heard of Vietnam? 2nd Iraq War? Long list of other unpopular things like the war on drugs or Prohibition? Wasn't popular but they did it anyway. Repealing corpse rights laws would be puny in comparison. The same gov't that runs black ops medical experiments on citizens while they are still alive (plenty of evidence for that with the few times they got caught). Esp when you get a bunch of politicians that don't care about getting re-elected (as they shouldn't anyway, term limits should extend to Congress as well) and all equally don't care what voters want so won't matter who you vote for. And that's a when, not an if, probably right before or soon after they run out of money to give away to buy those voters. Which will be soon enough, only reason they can finance trillion-dollar giveaways and run trillion-dollar deficits for decades on end is we export most of our inflation via petrodollars, but what happens when there's no oil to buy with US$ anymore? Only ~47 years of that left. Who knows, maybe by then there will be no current gov't and it will be replaced with a dictator that thinks similar to I do. I hope so, even though I will be dead by then anyway (and won't be caring what they do with my corpse, they can sodomize it for a porno movie with the profits from it going toward said dictator's solid 18k gold dining set or a few hours with a bunch of strippers if they want).

@Supervhizor As wasteful as the US gov't is (not just with it's dead citizens) I hope it does cease to exist and someone that thinks like I do takes over as a dictatorship. But definitely will cease to exist at some point, no nation is forever. Most likely in a way similar to the former USSR, with 50 new nations from the former 50 states, with China more easily taking over by defeating individual state militias (assuming they wanted to take over the world, they haven't had such ambitions in their 5000-year history outside their own immediate territory, they've always been on the receiving end of that). As far as Civil War 2, it would take maybe a month or or 2 before every state militia would be crushed, unlike 1861. If backed into a corner the US gov't wouldn't hesitate to resort to chemical weapons and kill anyone that doesn't agree with them, collateral damage be damned, at that point with marial law declared the gloves come off. The first Civil War, Tiannamen Square 1989 and possibly even the 1789 French Revolution would be jokes in comparison. The USSR/Russia was relatively lucky, only a few million died as a result of that instead of most of them, the gov't basicaly simply called it quits rather than chose to fight via civil war for it's continued existence.

@Supervhizor By the time CW2 breaks out it will mostly done with AI and drones with the president at the controlls (the guy that has supreme authority over all the armed forces), not old school meat soldiers, most of which don't care about crap like the constitution anyway, they just want a reliable paycheck or join out of family tradition. The only time that doesn't apply is when crap like 911 happens and people join wanting payback, but even that slows down after a few years. I'm not military but if I were I'd be for whichever side is closest to what I believe in, and rights of corpses and most of the current constitution isn't part of that.

@appletherapy3492 big difference between mostly water mist for a few minutes a day and oddball chemicals every hour or 2. Some things simply get embedded and stay there and build up (ie asbestos fibers, dust from a storm 1930's Dustbowl style). Also one is intentially inhaled (in far higher amounts), the other is not.

@adampetersen2494 Inanimate objects (=corpses) shouldn't have any rights or choices once they are corpses. That concept is about as dumb as corporations are also a person.
