  5. 4 months??? Major cases are already backlogged due to covid. You have ppl in dallas county jail that have been siting for 5 years waiting on their murder cases. Pretty soon they gonna have to let violent criminals out bc they have been sitting there without a trial. Habeas corpus. State should be ready to present their case in a reasonable amount of time. Murder cases in dalllas already take abt 3 years to be trial ready +2 years of covid, now this???
