  5.  @jadleyomoi3335  Defence against any enemy for example France is a traditional enemy of the UK and who knows what the future holds. Germany is also a known enemy and it is impossible to rule out how a rearmed nation will react in years to come.

  7.  @ruhiraj2935  Ukraine negotiated with Russia for many years and with NATO for many years. It was Putin who decided to call a halt to negotiations and instead to have a second invasion of his neighbour. Funny how you fail to notice who took the decisive action. Please note Ukraine is not a member of NATO and neither is Russia.

  32.  @firegalacticgamer2799  I do not believe Putin. Ukraine lost territory to Russia in 2014 and in 2022 Putin launched an attack on the whole of the country. He has made ridiculous accusations about fascism and more recently secret laboratories which suggest he was planning to replace the elected government with Russian stooges. What you have to understand is that all the countries once dominated by Russis value their current freedom.They are frightened of Russia for obvious reasons and are trying to join NATO as insurance against the nasty neighbour. NATO has not allowed Ukraine to join because the organisation was sensitive to Russian fears. Putin thinks fear is akin to respect but it is not ; he has no conception of soft power which is one of his mistakes.

  37.  @ruhiraj2935  The problem was the Ukranians were faced with 150,000 armed soldiers on the border. Hardly conducive to negotiations I think you will agree. May I also remind you that Russia agreed to defend Ukraine from all attacks once over a thousand nuclear warheads were transferred to Russia.I am at a loss to understand how Putin equates his current conduct with defense of a neighbour.

I repeat Ukraine is not a member of NATO and posed no threat to Russia. Just take a look at the forces at the command of Putin and compare with the Ukranian Army .I think Putin imagines the population of the World is stupid when he falsely claims he is defending his country.
