  3. Some Buddhists monks are the root cause of the problems, they intervened in politics, which is not their Dharma. They were behind discriminatory policies against minorities, in the past. I don't blame all but some. They destroyed unity in the country.

  4.  @nadeeraathauda2935  Tamils never bombed, it was the LTTE. In their 30 year history they never targetted schools or hospitals, there were few explosions in the trains, but no proof the LTTE was behind those, even in Tamil areas civilian buses were targetted, so who did those?

If you want peace leave the Tamils alone, don't compare jungle tribes with Tamil, will you teach Sinhala to the Veddas? Tamils are sons of the soil, why they should speak a language that is not theirs?

If Tamils wanted a separate country they would have asked the British before independance, it's a complicated issue with muslim tamils and estate tamils in the south, separate country practically impossible, diaspora is not into dividing the country, in fact they can pay off half the debt if a responsible government is there, through investments and other things.

  10.  @nadeeraathauda2935  JR started all the mess, he was the first to say English should be replaced with Sinhala only, when 30% did not speak Sinhala, then another politician went beyond and brought the Sinhala only act, along with violence against Tamils, that was the start. Then he tried to correct things and extremist monk shot him dead, his wife came to power only to be slave to the monks, she tried to please them by doing whatever they wanted, who had no political knowledge.

Now around 25% speak Tamil, including muslims and estate Tamils, but in the 50s 30% spoke Tamil and most did not know Sinhala, this is a statement by Bandara Naike, prime minister of ceylon, video still availabe on youtube.

Simply a genocide in the name of war.

Tamil workers who were brought by the British lives in the south of Sri Lanka, they also speak Sinhala, some also speak english, but north east Tamils are natives, second to none, nobody has the right to violate their rights.

They just celebrated, did not even grieve for the 100 000 dead, we know what some soldiers did, we saw the duty of police seniors in Bindunuweva, feel sorry for innocent Sinhalese, but one drop of poison makes whole cup of milk poisonous.
