They also help run, and raise funds for, hundreds of British charities. And they cost the average Brit just £1/year. I don't see the point in whining about £1 for all of the work they do. Why do you think Meghan Markle left? She found out that the royal family were civil servants, not lords of all they survey, and she wouldn't stand for having to work for a living.
