We need more discussions like this.

Yessss the main man has returned!!!

Amazing! I've been a fan of Goya and his painting, Saturn Devouring His Son since I watched Nerdwriter1's video "The Most Disturbing Painting?" But this has given me a new appreciation of Los Caprichos. Thanks Andrew. Wasn't expecting this and it's made me feel less alone and more sane amongst all the horror going on right now

Absolutely the best and most informative piece on leases and leasehold reform I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. My question is, if/when Labour win, how are they able to overturn the current system without going through the same House of Commons/Lords and various committee stages? Presumably, if the Lords don’t want reform, it won’t happen?

Thank you for this interesting conversation.

Really interesting interview. One question has not been addressed, though: How would or should King Charles react to unconstitutional moves by HM government? We know for sure that Liz Truss predecessor engaged in such behaviour (when proroguing parliament). In Austria and Germany, presidents have a mostly ceremonial role, but if they believe that the government or parliament have violated the constitution, they can refuse to comply and call for the courts to resolve the situation.

refreshingly informative - thank you

This was an incredibly interesting conversation, great work!

Great report. The property market has had hot air blown into it for years. Front page “House prices to increase x this years. The Vested Interests Nationwide, RICS etc who release their monthly data to the media. Asking them to report honestly on the state of property market is like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas. For those think, “oh those Tories” I would like to point out that the practice of pumping money into the economy via turning houses into cash machines was practiced to the fully by Gordon Brown whilst Labour were in power and he chancellor. People really need to open their eyes and take the sugar coated spoon out their mouths and actually think for a moment whether house prices rising disproportionately against wages is actually a good idea for the nation. Meanwhile the VI will point to low interest rates over the last 10-15 years and crow that people can afford to borrow more so house prices are ok to inflate at a rate significantly higher than age growth. It’s an utter con.

Interesting talk. Thank you

Thank you, Jodie, thank you, Rachel, this is an excellent piece - whilst quite alarming! - and very welcome. Thanks very much.

This is a fantastic analysis , best episode I’ve heard

Or destroyed…. Hilarious

Great contributors. The theme of being perceived as sincere for speaking one's belief when the belief is nonsense is insidious and worrying.
7
Eminently preferable to the current incumbent, but I think he’s underestimated the public revulsion at the recent behaviour within number 10.
7
Hello NS podcasters, I really enjoy your short takes, and play them to my yr12 Politics class

He’s a National treasure

Hooray a great day

Brilliant, Thank you Andrew, beautifully put, opened my eyes to a man I wasn’t sure could lead the country back to being Great again, but your synopsis of our new Pm just made me see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Keep up the excellent work. 😃👍🏻

Excellent, informative analysis.

Excellent interview 👍🏼

No one is more coherent in explaining both contemporary and historical world events in the context of government policy than Noam Chomsky. His knowledge, recall, and analysis is simply unmatched. I wish more people would become familiar with his voice and hope that those in positions of influence and power pay attention to his words and heed his warnings.
7
Following from the US. Thanks for the wonderful coverage. Say hello to Andrew Marr!
7
Dead-eyed cold analysis. First rate stuff.
7
Having listened to the discussion, and being what I hope I am, a fair-minded republican, I was left with an impression of Charles as something of a curate's egg, and a sort of theosophical King Canute. Rachel and Will were most impressive.
7
Wonderful, Andrew. You're a very articulate and eloquent speaker. I never used to watch you on TV... but now, I watch all your latest videos. Thank you for (now being able to) speaking your mind.

Great to hear Andrew Marr expressing opinions!

Great discussion, and great comments section. I think both of these together sold me as a subscriber. This is the kind of online community I wouldn't mind discussing politics with.
6
Excellent interview. 🙂
6
I totally agree and thank you for your common sense and empathy
6
Excellent interview! You know a satire program is doing well when it's upsetting the people on top, but he's right, I'm happy the show got 4 seasons. And agreed that BBC's impartiality and centrism won't benefit it much when it's appeasing the people who want it destroyed.
6
Now why would I want to spoil my evening by listening to George Osborne ? I am a fan of Paddington though.
6
Very well balanced commentary
6
Excellent Discussion!
6
Great interview.

Excellent perceptive informative journalism and ..... optimism!!!
6
Great channel , please keep up the good work.
6
Andrew, thank you for your excellent analysis. 🙏

What's the difference between lying, and getting something wrong? It's impossible to believe that Boris Johnson didn't know he was at all those parties - and that they were parties - and also illegal - so he clearly lied about all of that. But whilst I'm no great lover of Starmer (far from it), it sounds like he was simply misinformed about a meeting he wasn't at.
6
Best interview this year!
6
Critical for the global agenda

Great vid
