Thanks for this very powerful piece, with its conclusion aligned with the wise edict of the ancients ('know thyself') and emphasised by Carl Jung. Humanity has a massive task ahead. I enjoyed your art work, Mr Marr, by the way!

Your points are so well made and extremely important for Labour leadership to listen to. Go and consult with them please!!

This was a great discussion. The focus was on the UK "constitution ". It would have been interesting to hear discussion about countries with the British Parliamentary system and how they have adapted their constitutions.

I could listen to Andrew Marr forever. A brilliant mind and an articulate, discerning political journalist. This was a really fascinating and revealing take on Keir Starmer. Excellent! Really thought provoking and informative! Thank you

Greatest mind of this century!

Brilliant discussion - thank you for keeping this topic at top of minds.

The last 30 seconds says it all!

Wow, I was not expecting that. A good watch, thumbs up from me.

Listening to the first 5 minutes of the dialogue- quality, language, visuals - SUSCRIBING❤

A brilliant report 👏

One small way to make the Westminster Parliament better would be to change the outlay of the debating chamber from the confrontational rows of opposing seats to one with a semi-circular arrangement facing the Speaker.
4
Excellent. You guys are the best reporters anywhere. Well done.
4
I very much appreciate your output. Thanks - it’s always interesting, intelligent and well-researched.

Enjoyed listening to this nuanced discussion.

This is a very credible view by Marr, it really makes sense: the radical Conservative Brexiters who want extreme disruption vs the nostalgic more numerous Conservative brexiters who wanted a gentler Brexit which has led to a deep rupture inside the Conservative party and alienated a significant number among Conservative voters.

Good to see Rachel and Freddy back on the podcast again, finally

Grabbed the book for my holidays !

Andrew Marr out of the BBC is like a butterfly out of its cocoon.

Andrew Marr always seems to get to the knub of the issue in a balanced and insightful way. Keep it coming!

Very good discussion.

Another great podcast! I have been listening to the New Statesman podcasts for the last 6+ months and I really enjoy the content. I can see you are trying to offer a balanced view and even praise conservative politics when they do something well. In this polarised world, it is very refreshing. I can even see progression in the quality of the studio, presentation and confidence. Thanks for the hard work! Quick question though (and apologies if you have already answered this), it strikes me that conservative and right wing media is very good at towing the party line even when it is not in the best interest of the general public. However, left wing, liberal media seems much more open to self criticism. Do you ever feel worried that you may contribute to political defeat because of this?

This type of commentary from Andrew Marr should be a regular thing. That was extraordinarily powerful.

Thank you, one of the best explanations I've heard of the new trading relations "arrived at" in this agreement. "We kinda grew up a bit.." brilliant. This was an excellent discussion - prompted by an excellent question. It's a terrible thing to have to say, really, but it's very rare to get informed, intelligent discussion of crucial issues like this. Thanks all.

Great video, Andrew, like always

Great analysis, thanks!

Great analysis as always.

Midway through this. He's quite charming, affable and seems at least willing to try and explain and apologise for his actions. However, two things stick out. His line about more people being put into good and outstanding hospitals is completely undercut by his immediately revealing that these had not be measured before this. And that old chestnut of 'biggest financial crash, need to make cuts etc. etc.' which has been proven, repeatedly, to be economically illiterate. His government's ideological commitment to selling off the state and cutting back crucial services, has been more damaging to us than what Thatcher did 40 years ago. It completely undermines anything he says beforehand. Otherwise, it's typically an excellent interview by Anoosh who asks pertinent and quite digging questions, without resorting to the rudeness that I think would put off most MPs. Great video.

Huge admirer of your body of work over the years. Always worth listening to or watching. Keep up the good work kind regards Stephen

Bloody poetry. I've been looking for a good reason to hate poetry for a long time.

Very good content

Superb piece Andrew. Yes, The Disasters of War really show the true horrors of war. I am so glad you are bringing them to the fore. I remember being in The Prado, standing in front of his painting The Third of May, surely this is the birth of modern art?

Well done for a good well researched opinion that in my view is of real value to me.

I enjoy these videos a lot, but would suggest turning music down (and ideally not use any music)
3
Spot on sir ! Well said ! Nice to see and hear you at the NS !!

Thank you for showing this. Please tell Mr. Ianucci, a great writer of comedy and politics, that his genius could never have a written a story like this one. Mr. Ianucci has some of the best discussions on your youtube site.
