If it takes 1 to 5 days to unload the containers but only 4 hours for the trains to take them to the unloading ports, then you're going to be loading up the departing ship at the same time you're still unloading the arriving ship. It's a parallel process.

  3. There is one more warning regarding EcoFlow MPPT and solar panels - you cannot exceed the 150V with OPEN CIRCUIT voltage, not load voltage. This partially limits the available configurations. Not a big deal (similar limitations are also on Victron MPPT controllers), but it's worth to mention. Excellent video, this one (practical) is what I like most. The panels just laying on the ground is a good trick - as temporary solution of "let's see if it even works" it makes for a great idea. Imagine you would have to climb back to the roof to re-wire the panels :D

  5. Now imagine if your beautiful Model 3 could charge overnight and sell back to the grid when needed? It could also easily power your entire home, and has the hardware in it to output far more power than your home could ever hope to use. It's crazy that our Tesla cars are not already Powerwalls with full V2G functionality. Just think of what the top-spec Cybertruck could do with a 300 kWh pack!

  6. I havebeen saying for a while that all these empty office buildings after the pandemic should be used for vertical farming and be subsidized. The drastic reduction in transportation cost and benefit to the environment from having locally grown greens is huge.

  7. Great content today and always. I am somewhat of a music snob and grew up in the analogue era. I embraced the digital movement in music as it was introduced and find digital very satisfying. My ears can only hear so much frequencies as many of us baby boomers grew up in the rock n roll era . Therefore as close as digital simulation is getting to analogue it is good enough for a large percentage of the population's ears. Thanks again and keep the great content coming

  9. I have 3 kids (2 9 year olds and a 6 year old). I had a 2021 SR+ M3. My kids complained about the lack of space in the back seats. We still have all 3 in boosters. We sold the M3 and bought the 5 seat LR MY at the end of 2022. The kids like the space in the second row and we love the extra storage space.

I see you used the weight of the top of the line, long range, dual motor Model 3 :P I suppose that's fair for poor ICE lol When you consider that all manufacturing and mining will also get cleaner as industry starts using cleaner power, and starts electrifying even their heavy industrial vehicles (That is definitely happening. You only have to look at the startup investment and R&D effort going into electrifying trains and transport ships to know that. There's gold in them thar hills!) - The only thing that still makes ICE cars look okayish at present is the estimated CO2 footprint for production. At present. Both gravimetric and volumetric energy density for batteries are improving all the time. Meaning they have the same energy capacity, but they weigh less and less and take up less and less space as the technology is improved and refined. Mostly by a bit, but every few years by a lot. So battery packs will also get lighter and lighter and smaller and smaller while providing the same range. Cleaner and cleaner. Less and less toxic for human, animal and plant life. Cheaper and cheaper. That's the challenge that proponents of fossil fuel ICE cars face in this debate. It's a losing battle. They might as well admit it.

  25. You forgot one thing re: Ford, etc. making EV's. They don't actually have to research any of the tech. Tesla doesn't really hold any patents for their products. Elon Musk has said that anyone is free to use any of their patents. So, Ford, etc. could literally just use the designs for the batteries, motor, etc. from Tesla and just make their own frame for the car. And, they could convert one or two factories at a time. You obviously have great points on everything else though. :) Also, since Tesla has already spent a lot of time and money on charging stations in the USA, that makes it easier for the other car makers and buyers to get into EV cars.   31. It's simple: The typical person who would want to buy a truck is called a Dude. A Dude is in'erested in buying a truck 'cos he wants it to be tough and doesn't really care about the scratches. When you pull into a builder's yard you know what will happen. A beam of timber topples from the rack. A sheet of metal catches on the wind. Apparently metal balls are worse than sledgehammers. The higher it rides the better it is. Same for speed. A Dude wants as much cabin space as possible, all neat and tidy. A Dude also wants a covered theft proof high bed with easy access. Gotta get the bike up easy, Dude. Now the Dude wants a Tesla. Te Guy wanted to get a Rivian 'cos he had the cash. He knows it makes sense to go electric . But his deep down primal urge for a big truck always gnawed voraciously at his conscience. How can you justify a Hummer? A Range Rover? Aha, look at this finally a Rivian! SALVATION! But before Rivian gets their product out Tesla pips them to the post with a smackdown 0 - 60 and everything else with ONLY THREE MOTORS!!! Now the Guy wants a Tesla. The Man wants a Tesla because it is just so goddamned cool! A woman wants a Tesla because once you are inside ain't no shit that's gonna happen to you! The child inside me wants a Tesla because I drew one in History class in the third grade. I always knew I wanted one...

  33. I live in the area where the Cedar Rapids data center is to be built. The local nuclear power plant has reached its end of life and is now being replaced by 3,500 acres of solar panels on prime farmland. This video just put the pieces together for me as to why. I can see a lot more expansion of these panels to more prime farmland. Looks like this would have been better served in a location where less productive land is abundant.

  34. Hi Ricky, love the show and informative as always. There are, however, a few things missed about the potential of GMG's battery. One is the thermal dissipation - due to the graphene and aluminum construction, thermal energy is easily removed from the battery and thus requires less cooling. This would result in a massive reduction in the need for additional cooling equipment for the battery pack that adds to the overall weight. herefore more batteries could be packed in the space used and thus increasing the battery packs overall energy density. Another is the increased potential of energy recovery through breaking. Current tech is limited due to the batteries inability to handle the full charge when utilizing the motor to slow the vehicle. With GMG's battery more energy could be recovered this way, which further increases the range from a single charge in under 5 minutes. Exciting stuff right? Keep up the amazing work bro and look forward to the next one. 🙃

Most recent data shows ICErs are burning/exploding/catching on fire way more often, WHEN NORMALIZED FOR MILEAGE, as compared to BEVs.
