  1. I am so ashamed to write this, but as a 30 year old woman from Eastern European country this is the first time I was able to hear and fully learn about women's menstrual cycle. Especially menopause. Even though 70% of my family is all women we never talked about it, believe it or not - my mom never told me about a period. Learned from the internet. So glad that nowadays all this information is so accessible and we are tearing down all the "shame" (of what?). Love this podcast and this episode so much! Thank you Steven and Dr. Pelz, already on amazon searching for her books to further down my education :)

  6. I’ve been on this journey of becoming the best version of myself since I had my daughter 3 yrs ago and Yvonne Burkart’s reason for why she’s doing what she’s doing brought me to tears. I understand her passion and it resonates with me. Being a parent is life changing and we don’t get it until we have children ourselves. I loved this episode Steven. You make a difference in the world simply by having this podcast and having the type of guest that you have on the show.

  22. Steven, you're extremely good at what you do. You manage to sound as soothing as a therapist while always being objective even with guests that you obviously respect. In this case, respect for the guest's mistakes clearly isn't the reason he was invited but you manage to get the true story without shaming or condemning him. You also didn't coddle or exonerate him. Its such a delicate balance but you did it perfectly. This is why your podcast will continue to grow. Both guests and viewers can trust you.

  41. This was the interview I have been secretly hoping would happen! Because most DOAC interviews are so long, I typically take a few days, listening in 30 min increments. Today, I sat down in front of my laptop, full-screen view and watched from beginning to end, with absolutely no regrets. I am always blown away by Trevor's ability to articulate emotions, complex thoughts and nuanced contextualities. But Steven, having you listen, respond and ask questions only elevated this conversation to everything I never knew I wanted to hear from both of you. My 3 big takeaways: 1. Growing up in abusive homes can make many hypersensitive to those around them and conflict-averse (you don't have to protect everyone). 2. No one who does anything BIG does it alone! (My mentor always says: if you want to go fast, do it alone. If you want to go far, Squad Up!) 3. Make friends a priority. You will never regret it. Steven, you said the bigger the subscribers get, the bigger the guests get. You didn't lie! So glad to be one of your subscribers. One of the best interviews ever! (and that includes the ones with Mo Gadet and Gabor Mate)
