  10. I also started late, but fortunate to have some good work place pensions. I've been paying into my sons pension scheme for about 5 years. Just £20 per month but knowing if he at least matches this when he is of working age he will have a fantastic start and hopefully instill good habits!

  20. Interesting video, however at £100k income you need to consider tax effeciency and planning. Pension is hard to beat at the 40% tax threshold. In addition once you have £500k/£1m individual/couple of assets outside a pension you are in scope of IHT. Perhaps morbid to think about, but having a 40% risk on excess is worth thinking about. Also as you get older it can be harder to pivot assets from inside estate to pension. Personally I'd like the government to increase IHT and just include a pensions component to simplify, but now there is no pension LTA this majes pensions a tax planning tool, although arguably it shouldn't be. I've seen on your other video that you have £160k, but with the way you are accumulating, you could have an IHT problem yourself in the next 5-10 years!

Hi Mitch, been subscribed to you since March when I started investing, I’ve appreciated your content you give good advice for people just starting out but it sometimes feels like your content is a bit recycled with regards to investing in index funds etc. I understand you have to do certain things for engagement on YouTube but for loyal subscribers it would be nice to see some different content, such as how you research a specific stock and things like that. This is purely constructive as I do enjoy your videos.

  40. I’ve typically favoured a global approach however would have been better off sticking to the S&P. The European, and Asia markets are just not performing and its hard to think this will change anytime soon
